Mariah Carey premieres "#Beautiful" music video
Just a few days after releasing the new single "#Beautiful", pop/R'n'B diva Mariah Carey unveils the fun music video for her popping collaboration with "Adorn" singer Miguel. The video premiered Thursday night, May 9 on "American Idol" where Carey, who serves as one of the judges, took the remaining three contestants leading to the grand finale on a sneak peak of the video in the recording studio.
The three-and-a-half-minute clip kicks off with the live action motorcycle riding shot of the two stars that fans first got to see in the single art featured during the song's debut. Director Joseph Khan seamlessly superimposed the pair onto the countryside backdrop along with shots of Carey seductively propped on a big bike in front of a giant tree for a very light and breezy feel and mood for the video that matches the sweet ballad.
Onto a more enticing scene, the 43-year-old superstar looks as young and fresh as her 1997 "Honey" music video days in the playful dance routine she does for Miguel who is sitting comfortably on the driver's seat of a red convertible. So fine-looking is the songstress that she pulls off the flirtation with the younger 27-year-old neo-soul singer.
Carey and Miguel wrote and produced the hash-tagged tune for her forthcoming new album and long-awaited follow-up to her 2009 recording "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel". The project reunites Carey with longtime pal, So So Def Jam Recording boss Jermaine Dupri and other top record producers as Hit-Boy, The-Dream, and Mike WiLL Made It among others. (AceShowbiz)
