Mariah Carey hits the studio with Jermaine Dupri

With May earmarked as the window through which new Mariah Carey material will arrive, the diva has re-teamed with longtime collaborator Jermaine Dupri. Taking to Twitter, the "Always Be My Baby" producer wrote: "MC back in Southside. I said MC they don't expect you to be camera ready, she said yes they do lol. MC in the building giving you the ABMB moment."

The pair made magic over the years, and will need to conjure up much more if they're to deliver the "comeback" Carey's career is need of. And while their last major outing ("E=MC2") saw the pair serve up 100 "We Belong Together" rehashes, we're confident they can cook up something fresh and dynamic this go round. For, as the "Emancipation" showed, ol' MiMi is at her best when the odds are stacked against her.
