Nick Cannon demands Vegas residency net worth

In the years since Nick Cannon first met Mariah Carey he has become a one man media empire - going so far as to actually help manage the career trajectory of other stars, like rumored girlfriend Amber Rose. According to the latest gossip news updates, in addition to building up his own net worth, the America's Got Talent host has been doling out priceless advice to his soon to be ex-wife for years, and now that she's taken it, Cannon wants his cut of the profits. Word has it that Mariah's husband thinks he is entitled to a share of the money from her upcoming Las Vegas residency, which he claims was an idea he came up with long before they filed for divorce.

It is being reported far and wide that Mariah Carey is all set to join the ranks of Britney Spears, Elton John and Wayne Newton - signing a multimillion dollar deal to perform in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, for Mariah it is also being reported that her estranged husband, Nick Cannon, was sort of expecting to get a piece of that pie in their divorce settlement.

Even though the couple already have an prenuptial agreement in place, one source claiming to be in the know insists in the January 2, issue of Star Magazine that is Nick's mind he figured he was still owed something for all his pain and suffering.

"Nick thinks he deserves a chunk of the money for having to put up with Mariah's antics for so many years. He's tempted to keep fighting for more, but he'd rather just get it over with. Nick is beyond ready to move on."

While Nick certainly hasn't done anything as vulgar as publicly mention the fact that he thinks some of that money should be his, in a recent chat with the Las Vegas Sun, Cannon did manage to somehow make it sound like the whole thing was his originally his idea.

"I'd been encouraging her for a long time to do a run of Las Vegas shows. She once talked with Steve Wynn about a residency. But she wouldn't commit. Now, though, she is thrilled about doing them and very excited. They will be fantastic shows. I will be there to support her." Maybe if Mariah had taken a little bit more of his advice, Nick would be planing to spend his days with her instead of Amber Rose.
