Mariah speaks out
Mariah Carey has posted an audio message on her official Web site, www.mariahcarey.com, addressed to her fans, letting them know that she is recovering from her recent hospitalization and doing well. "I just want to say thank you so much for all the letters, everything that I got from you," she says. "I want you to know that you can't believe everything you read... I am taking care of myself and as I speak to you I am looking at the most beautiful rainbow that's going across the entire sky, and I love you much."
Carey suffered an emotional and physical breakdown in late July and was admitted to a New York area hospital. She was released in early August and has since been recovering at an undisclosed location under the supervision of her doctors. Since her hospitalization Carey cancelled all promotional activities related to her upcoming film and soundtrack Glitter, delaying the release of both projects. The film is now due in theaters September 21st, while the soundtrack hits September 11th. (Rolling Stone)
