Mariah Carey: prostitution made the star
Mariah Carey's sister Alison has enraged the singing star by publishing a new book, Mariah and Me, in which she claims that she worked as a prostitute to support Mariah at the beginning of her career. The book, which Mariah has tried to suppress, tells the story of the girls' childhood leading up to Carey's bid for stardom which Alison says was funded by her soliciting.
Alison claims she worked as a hooker in New York even claims that Mariah went to her big-break audition with Sony chief Tommy Mottola - her future husband - in a rented stretch limo and new outfit paid for by her sister's prostitution. Alison says, "Mariah tells the world about five per cent of the truth about herself. This book contains the other 95 per cent - everything a vain and heartless multimillionaire pop icon will do anything not to have told." She adds, "Mariah's tried to bribe me and had me threatened to stop the publication but it's too late now."
Mariah incidentally, is described as a "bloody nightmare" by a former record company employee in this months Q Magazine exposé, When Rock Stars Go Crazy! The source continues, "Before checking into a hotel she would demand pink toilet roll, and that she drink out of crystal glasses at all times."
