Mariah Carey at Jalouse nightclub

It was just another low-key bash for multi-million dollar Godmother of bling Mariah Carey. A sizzling guest list including Geri Halliwell, 37, Rupert Everett, 50, Pixie Lott, 18, Alan Carr, 33, and Kelly Brook 29, turned up to Jalouse nightclub to celebrate the launch of Mariah's new album Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel.

Lavished with the UK's entire stock of Mariah's £850-a-bottle Angel champagne and 2,000 cupcakes, guests waited with bated breath for the queen of slinky R 'n B to arrive. For three hours. After switching on the lights at Westfield shopping centre in London, the puppy-loving legend refused to go anywhere before having some R and R at the Dorchester.

But cruising up in her customised £300,000 Rolls- Royce Phantom with ice-white leather interior, her 1am entrance did not disappoint her admirers. To the sound of her hit record Fantasy, the big-walleted warbler, 40, sashayed past hundreds of fans, straight into the VIP area. The singer cheeped: "I am a diva! So friggin' what? Who cares?"

So after wowing the crowds with her behemoth entourage, which included a personal candle lighter, where did the lady herself spend the majority of the evening? On the toilet, of course. The most expensive toilet in London. Crafted from onyx and crystal, the VIP lav comes with a personal masseuse and hair stylist.

Mariah spent 40 minutes preening before nipping back to her private pen on the opposite side of the club to the celeb VIP area. After moving heaven and earth to make sure her star pals were looked after, you'd think Maz would want to mingle. But the picky popster only allowed a select few into her box, including X Factor judge Louis Walsh, 57. She left at 2.30am saying she was "unwell". We hope it wasn't all that Angel champagne. Hiccup.
