Vanity bare for Mariah Carey?
Mariah Carey's nude pregnancy pictures have caused quite a stir among My Sun users. The pop diva left little to the imagination, posing alongside husband Nick Cannon, with only days to go until the couple's twins are born. Demi Moore famously set the trend for celebrity nude pregnancy pics, posing for Vanity Fair while seven months pregnant in 1991. Other celebs who have bared all include pop princesses Christiana Aguilera and Britney Spears.
My Sun users were split over whether they would follow Mariah's trend of posing in the nude just days before giving birth to twins. Aerospace approves of the snaps: "I think these pictures are very tasteful. She looks lovely and very calm and happy."
Kiazilla would be up for doing the snaps but not display them for all to see: "I would perhaps do it in the mid stages of pregnancy - but I certainly wouldn't hang it above my fireplace!" Depp_lover1980 leaves it up to the individual woman to decide: "I think it is a very personal and expressive thing to do, if you have the confidence, then why not shine?"
Random87 is another fan of Mariah's shoot: "I suppose she only has once chance to do this, so I can understand her doing it. Why are people so funny about seeing nude pregnant women? It's not like it's an ugly woman doing it, it's Mariah Carey. She's stunning especially for her age, and looks great pregnant. Why can't people appreciate the beauty of pregnancy?"
On the other side of the crib many My Sun users feel pregnant woman should keep their bumps to themselves. Keira1 would keep her pregnancy clothes on: "No personally I would not. I think it is rather tacky and totally unnecessary to be honest."
Our SunVote poll showed an overwhelming number of voters found the nude baby bump snaps tasteless and could not fathom what made her do it in the first place. A whopping 80% of users said the pictures were not to their liking. Jjake wants to keep it behind closed doors: "My wife looked beautiful when she was pregnant but I would not have wanted all and sundry to see her."
Libertyx doesn't see the point in nude pregnancy pics: "I think everybody knows what a pregnant woman looks like without having it thrust in our faces. Totally unnecessary and very, very tacky." James-x is not a fan of the trend: "This is utterly disgusting, I don't know why celebrities feel the need to have photos like this taken, It's utter vanity." (The Sun)
