Rodney Jerkins confirms Mariah still has her voice
 Mariah Carey used to belt out those high notes flawlessly, but can she still do it? Carey has been catching a lot of flack about her five-octave range. For a few years now - and especially after her BET Awards performance this year - folks claim she may have lost her iconic voice and now resorts to only lip-syncing.
But, veteran record producer Rodney Jerkins claims that isn't so. "Absolutely, Mariah has the voice. Blew me away in the studio," Jerkins exclaimed. And although Mi Mi might still have it, Rodney condones the use of lip-syncing occasionally saying, "Even Michael Jackson lip-synced at times."
Whether she's lip-syncing or not, fans will be excited to learn that Mariah may be putting out new music soon. Uber-producer Jermaine Dupri posted a photo of himself, Mariah, Rodney, Mike WiLL Made-It and Hit Boy in the studio. Earlier this year, Mariah decided to delay the release of her 14th studio album, The Art Of Letting Go. As of right now the album doesn't have a new release date, but the fact that she's in the studio is a good sign. (HipHollywood)
