She's known for showing off her best assets and Mariah Carey certainly didn't hold back as she performed at a Christmas concert in New York last night. The 45-year-old took to the stage in a selection of equally as glamorous gowns at the event, which was held at the Beacon Theatre. She oozed confidence as she belted out some festive classics, wearing a tight-fitting bejewelled dress, which she teamed with a diamante statement necklace. Mariah's dress collection for the evening also included an incredible scarlet number with a similar plunging neckline, before she later changed into a khaki green get-up.
As well as last night's gig, the Without You hitmaker is also set to extend her love of the festive period by appearing in the upcoming Hallmark film, A Christmas Melody. The mother-of-two will both direct and star in the flick, in which she plays the villain. The seasonal film stars Lacey Chabert of Mean Girls fame, who plays a divorced clothing designer. A recently released trailer shows the awkward moment she bumps into her old high school rival Melissa, a role taken on by Mariah, when she moves back home.
Carols and films aside, Mariah is also known for her hit track All I want for Christmas, which has sold 14 million copies plus around the world. "It's kind of amazing to me, because I wrote it just out of love for Christmas, and really loving Christmas music," the superstar said in a recent interview with ABC News.
She is now able to share the much-loved song with her twins - Monroe and Moroccan Scott - via her new children's book with the same title. Mariah explained: "The way little kids react to this song is so amazing to me, so we made it with a little girl who wants a puppy for Christmas and I thought it would be something nice to share with my own kids, as well."
