Mariah and James calling off wedding claim not true

Mariah Carey and James Packer are not calling off their wedding, despite an inaccurate tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. We're told it's "not true". According to Life & Style, Carey won't be able to marry Packer because her divorce from estranged husband Nick Cannon has yet to be finalized. A so-called "source" tells the tabloid, "Mariah is really pissed off. She had planned such a beautiful wedding, and now she's terrified it's never going to happen."

The magazine's seemingly phony source further claims that the alleged issues with Carey and Packer's planned nuptials are taking its toll on their relationship. "All that Mariah and James have been doing lately is fighting," says the outlet's "insider". "James has been very patient with her, but the last thing he wants is to go through this crazy wedding planning again."

The tabloid's dubious source goes on to falsely claim that Cannon is dragging out the divorce process because he wants more money, adding that the alleged drama may cause Packer to get tired of waiting for his fiancee to be officially unwed.

But Gossip Cop checked in with a rep for Carey, who exclusively tells us that the tabloid's behind-the-scenes account of supposed events is simply "not true". We're assured that Carey and Packer still plan on getting married, and their wedding is still very much on.

Of course, Gossip Cop isn't surprised by the tabloid's tall tale. We recently busted Life & Style for its bogus claim that Carey and Packer were having babies together, either through adoption or a surrogate. There was no truth to that report, and the same goes for the magazine's latest lie about the engaged couple.
