Mariah Carey breaks out a classic, performs new songs
Mariah Carey packed a herd of fans into the Rockefeller Plaza Friday morning (October 2) as she performed for the Today Show concert series. The record-breaking chart-topper made sure the fans who came out to see the show - some camped out overnight - were treated to a show worth the wait.
Mariah started with "Make It Happen" especially for the fans who have followed her almost two-decade strong career from the beginning. She then performed new cuts from her just released new album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, like "Obsessed", "I Want To Know What Love Is", and "H.A.T.E.U."
And for the big pink, glittered elephant in the room: Mariah's voice. Yes, she struggled in parts - there's no denying that. But when she was on, she was on, sounding every bit like the "old" Mariah. (Neon Limelight)
