Mariah Carey at the American Music Awards |
She hit the stage at the American Music Awards on Tuesday. And Mariah Carey modeled a ravishing ensemble when she posed up a storm on the black carpet in the Los Angeles event's press room. The 48-year-old blonde played up her bust in a lacy black gown that fell to the floor and featured glittering embroidery.

Sections of the dress were taken up by see-through mesh that allowed for a glimpse of the singer's svelte legs and ample cleavage. She let her luxuriously wavy hairdo tumble freely over her shoulders, accentuating her winning features with a flattering makeup job. A spray of black feathers ringed the hemline of her dress and stretched up at the center roughly to her knees.

Being Mariah Carey, she of course made sure to add a splash of glitz to the ensemble, including dazzling bejeweled bracelets and earrings. She was glimpsed heading to dinner after the awards show that evening, and the dress turned out to be quite sheer over her derriere. The legendary songstress was accompanied by a gentleman in a blue suit, and she held his hand while she made her way to the curb.

Mariah's restaurant of choice was the West Hollywood haunt Craig's, which opened at the beginning of 2011 and has since become a celebrity hot spot. Stars who have recently been glimpsed there include Kendall Jenner, Mischa Barton, Brigitte Nielsen, Brandi Glanville and Dame Joan Collins. "Mimi", as she is affectionately known by fans, was in a completely different ensemble when she took the stage at the Microsoft Theater.

The All I Want For Christmas Is You songbird was giving the live TV debut of her new number With You, with male dancers laying helpless around her, twisting. She wore a gigantic pink dress with a train, and the vocal was so pristine that some people online assumed she had to have been lip-syncing.

The American Music Awards were hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross, who on top of being a TV star in her own right is the daughter of musical icon Diana Ross. Mariah was not the only eminent pop diva to give a live debut to one of her singles that evening - Jennifer Lopez did the same for her number Limitless.
