They're two of the most sought-after divas on the planet. But on Saturday, one played fan and the other played front-and-center at Madison Square Garden as Mariah Carey Insta-storied a video of herself getting ready to walk into a performance of none other than Barbra Streisand.
Carey, 49, wore a cleavage-baring black dress with a flurry of silver rhinestones at its bottom. She walked in line with a pal as she told the camera: "We are on our way to see Babs Streisand, live, at Madison Square Garden, and it's very exciting!"
It's the first time the entertainer has appeared there in 13 years. The musical theater legend begins performing at 8pm, and the show is co-directed by Streisand and Richard Jay-Alexander. She's recorded 52 gold, 31 platinum, and 13 multi-platinum albums throughout her career.
Streisand is also the only recording artist to have albums reaching number one in each of the consecutive decades. On the other hand, Carey is one of the best-selling recording artists of all time.
