She's known for her flamboyant style and diva antics, but Mariah Carey has revealed a very different side of herself. Camp Mariah, the upstate New York summer camp founded by the singer, has just celebrated its 25th year of helping underprivileged youth from lower-income families.

The camp is a three-week camping experience for thousands of kids and teenagers, and they also offer career advancement programs for teenagers aged between 12 and 14 throughout the year.

Carey told Good Morning America: "Kids should be able to go to a camp where they feel safe and they feel like they can learn something. And this is a career awareness camp. The kids learn about all the different options that they have growing up, because a lot of kids have never even left their own block where they're growing up."

While Carey does make an appearance at the camp, she also jokes that she's too much of a diva to do it for real. "With the right bug repellent, hair, makeup, and ensemble, I could be outdoorsy in a photo," Carey said.
