"Rainbow Trust is really special to us. The Trust is our charity and we really want to be involved and help whenever we can." Ben added, "We want to go to Rainbow Fernstone to meet the families and hope to visit Rainbow House again." The organization was founded to provide respite and support at home to children with a life threatening or terminal illness and their families. Immediate help is on hand through the Rainbow Trust Family Support Service and at the Charity's two respite centres.

All care is free. Children with life threatening or terminal conditions very often prefer to be cared for in their own homes but caring for a sick child can be stressful and demanding. Rainbow Trust's family support worker teams offer practical and emotional help in the family's own home. A number of big-name celebrities including George Michael, Emma Bunton, Jimmy Nail, and Sade Adu have supported the organization. In 1999, pop superstar Mariah Carey donated profits from the sale of her album, "Rainbow" to the Trust.

"When I heard of all the great work that Rainbow Trust does for terminally ill children and their parents, I jumped at the chance to give something back. I've been fortunate in life and it's nice to be able to help others," she said.

Many thanks to Mariah World.
