Mariah bounces back
Mariah Carey has announced details of her first album of new material since last year's nervous breakdown. The as-yet-untitled record is expected to be released in the US on December 10. There is no confirmation of a UK or European release at this stage. According to Carey, the album contains 20 very personal songs and follows the multi-platinum diva's well-publicised collapse in summer 2001. This will be Carey's first release on hip hop label Def Jam, after she left Virgin Records with a £20 million pay-off. (DotMusic)
