Shy of relief
Efforts to help a young Iraqi war victim have hit a snag now that celebrities including Arnold Schwarzenegger, George Clooney, Christina Aguilera and Mariah Carey are denying published reports of their involvement.
A rep for Carey said, "None of it is true. Mariah is very conscientious when it comes to working with disabled children, but no one has contacted us." Well-meaning organizer Cheryl Shuman clarified that promoters had donated tickets to concerts starring Carey, Timberlake and Aguilera. (New York Daily News) Many thanks to Mariah-Carey.org.
