Mariah goes mad in Monte Carlo
Pop queen Mariah Carey showed she's still the world's top diva by paying out a fortune to live in luxury for two days during the World Music Awards in Monte Carlo, Monaco, this weekend. Money was no object when it came to making sure everything was just perfect for ariah's stay in one of the city's top hotels. She paid out US$44,000 to the Hotel De Paris, Britain's The Sun newspaper reports, ordering the four most expensive suites for herself and then adding others for members of her entourage.
The singer ensured the rooms were perfect by having humidifiers, fresh flowers and an exercise bike brought in. She also issued very specific instructions about the lighting in her suite. A hotel source reveals, "We are used to getting some big names passing through our doors but perhaps none as big in the world of pop as Mariah Carey. There was certainly a fuss over Miss Carey's arrival at the weekend. We like to offer our guests the best so no matter what they ask for they will get it - after all, it is their money they're spending." (WENN)
