Mariah concludes her world tour

Last night Mariah Carey concluded officially her successful and anticipated Charmbracelet World Tour 2003 in Costa Mesa, California. The tour started on June 21, 2003 in Seoul, Korea. The Asian leg also included ten dates in Japan, two in Shanghai, China, and another one in the Philippines. All the shed/arena tour leg sold out and received the best reviews. Unfortunately, the Charmbracelet tour disappointed fans in other countries such as Australia and Spain. Both countries were included in past tours, but this time Mariah was set to visit new cities and new people.

On July 26, Mariah started her American leg, selling a 90 percent of the total seats available. Mariah received more great reviews by journalists and fans. During the tour, Mariah gave fans the chance to to go backstage and talk to her face to face. Even celebrities had a chance to go to one of these intimate evenings in America, which is randomly seen in concerts by any other artist.

The American leg had a few downs, in cities such as Toronto, Mariah didn't sell out, or in some cities journalists were tough. However, most of the reviews were positive and uplifting. The reviews often used the words "triumph", "back" and "success". When the American leg ended, Mariah was ready to continue her tour in Europe. Mariah sold out her dates in countries such as the UK, where Mariah played in four different cities. The Netherlands, Austria, France, Italy, among others were the lucky countries to receive the best selling female artist of all time.

When the concerts in Europe were about to be over, Mariah announced new dates. These new dates were in Asian countries, where Mariah cancelled during the summer because of the SARS in those areas. Concerts in China and the Philippines were a sensation and a Mariah mania. Press still comments about this concerts.

The other part of the tour were in the United States, these concerts were like a Charmbracelet-Merry Christmas tour. Mariah had new ensembles for her tour, the new ensembles were great. Christmas songs such as the smash hit "All I want for Christmas is you" ended each one of the shows. Mariah almost sold out the nine dates, and received good reviews, as well as at the rest of the American concerts in the summer.

According to different sources, Mariah Carey is ready to organize the last part of her long and extended tour. Indonesia, China, Korea, and Hong Kong seem to be taken for consideration for next year. Meanwhile, Costa Mesa Concert on December, 22 is officially the last concert of this tour during 2003. Mariah proved she is capable to sing live during over sixty concerts, look sexy and as a diva during months of road, and to sell her concerts around the world.
