One of London's top radio station's Kiss 100, held an award show last night attended
by a host of stars from the urban music scene. The show featured live performances
from internationally acclaimed urban/dance acts including neo soul star Angie Stone,
media favourite Ms Dynamite, the UK's answer to Usher, Craig David and the crown
prince of chart friendly reggae, Sean Paul who also won the top honour of best male
artist. Sean Paul's recent No.1 "We Be Burnin" has made him a global star.
Bets female artist went to Mariah Carey, who was not present at the ceremony with best
album going to Kanye West, also unable to be at the London awards. Ciara was there to
pick up a best newcomer award and Basement Jaxx were presented with best Group of 2005
from the show's host June Sarpong.
Other winners included Gwen Stefani for female style icon and the Pussy Cat Dolls,
were awarded with best single for "Don't Cha".
