Mariah Carey duets for upcoming remix album
Mariah Carey's latest album, "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel", had critics from publications like Entertainment Weekly saying "imperfections are nowhere to be found on Memoirs". But that's not keeping the songstress from adding some of R&B and hip-hop's heaviest hitters to the album's tracks for her upcoming "Angels Advocate" remix album.
"Angels Advocate", which was recently announced would be an iTunes and Target exclusive, will feature a host of current radio staples appearing with Carey on the upcoming album. The effort is led by the singles "Up Out My Face", which features rapper Nicki Minaj, and "Angels Cry" with Ne-Yo. Videos for both singles were released last month.
Carey's also lined up Mary J. Blige, who previously said she credits Carey as musical inspiration. The two will appear on the kiss-off "It's a Wrap", while singer Trey Songz is set to appear on "Inseparable". "Angels Advocate" will also feature duets with Akon, Fabolous, R. Kelly, The-Dream & Ludacris, T-Pain & Snoop Dogg, K-Ci & Jo Jo, and OJ Da Juiceman & OutKast's Big Boi.
Mariah also recently contributed a new song, "100%", to the AT&T Team USA Soundtrack, a tribute album for Team USA in the 2010 Winter Olympics. Mariah filmed a live video for the track during her "Angels Advocate" tour stop in Toronto. The song, originally record for "Precious", was released to iTunes, with sales benefitting Team USA. "Angels Advocate" hits Target stores and iTunes on March 30th. (All Headline News)
