I do wonder what makes you think the record label is over her? I also want to know how you think an artist cant obtain a deal on their own? Are you really a fan because you sound judgmental? Mariah doesn't need judgmental people especially her fans who expect way too much. I have followed this site for 8 years now. Last year everyone was tired of waiting for an album. Now everyone has the album available. Even with an album the complaining has gotten worse. All I hear is what she should've, could've done. However the people complaining always say how great the album is. It's annoying as a true lamb to see other lambs continue to support her music but expect her to sell these gigantic numbers. *sips tea* I have moved on to the tour. Her recording contract only includes an advance and a proper release with minimum promotion. She has built a name for herself that doesn't require 50% of a record label service. However, with that being said, she has to find alternative ways to promote. Mariah received the clear channel deal for #Beautiful not her record label. Her label was not cited on the PR. It suits her to get a deal however the record died because clear channel needed more than an her reputation to play #beautiful. Radios require people calling in requesting the songs to continue airplay. The issue was after 3-4 months Mariah stopped promoting it, therefore, people stopped taking interest. On top of that she injured herself, badly. People lost interest because the combination of lack of promoting and the unfortunate time lapse. It's so easy to say her diva-ish attitude cause lack of interest. I am not buying it. If that was true then The Emancipation Of Mimi would have bombed. She said Mariah Carey is a ticking bomb that men will never date. She also compared Nick with a better career at this time. She then had the ordasity to compare Mariah to Jennifer Lopez. Wendy said Mariah needs to take notes from Jennifer Lopez's career back in 1998, when Jennifer Lopez first started to buckle down and do music. On the contrary to Wendy's statement, Mariah outsold Jennifer that year with number ones? Wendy oviouslly doesn't look at the platform Mariah provided for Jennifer. Just saying. I'm dissapointed because it seems Wendy hates Mariah and she is doing everything she can to discredit this woman she claims to love as fan. On her first episodes she had the nerve to say lambs aren't true fans of Mariah. Wendy seems a sick lady and I will no longer support her disrespecting our faces. I can't right now. Critism (41,854) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA I agree with most of the fans on this page. But I don't agree with everything. The issues with her doesn't have to do with the quality of music she is putting out. I feel the issues that surround the majority of her problems is the fact that she is an artist that takes pride in her work and if the record company or fans does not take pride in her work it comes so easy to become overwhelmed because you do not have someone on your side. She has millions and doesn't have to prove with demand to come out with an album. She's been there and done that. I feel the more that people do not understand her and more that we continue to misunderstand and place blame on her, as if we knew what she is going through, she will make the situation worse by avoiding or delaying her album. It's easy to feel rushed in any situation under stress. Her stress is 10x worse than ours. She is an artist that loves her fans and I feel the last 5 years fans have rushed her and demanded music, then once heard posted negative things about her and her music. Then we criticized her deeply, and now are pissed because of the song is not doing well. We should stop thinking flop and start thinking this could be her last album. (Friday 28 February 2014; 2:43)
