Billboard (39,882) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
Why don't we all listen to the song together, and by the time the Billboard Hot 100 is out on Thursday, TAOLG is charted without a proper release. That would be a proper statement.

TAOLG Wikipedia (39,876) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
If you guys look at TAOLG Wikipedia article, you can see there that the song indeed has not been released on radio, but it has allready entered the Irish chart at #96. I mean, the Irish chart? When was she popular there? I hope a readio release is just around the corner, people deserve to listen to this song. I'm listening to it at this moment actually, I love the ending.

TAOLG (39,864) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
How can anyone here criticise Mariah now that she has released the best song in almost a decade? Some people here should take a chill pill. Even if the song doesn't chart well, I will most definitely put the song on repeat when the album is out. The song is strong, and at last Mariah's getting the recognition from the music industry that she deserves. It's a song dedicated to her fans, what more can we ask for?

Mariah Carey live in Japan (39,264) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
A few years ago I bought the dvd Mariah Carey live in Japan. I watched it every day for a year. It was my favourite ending of the night if I had been out partying. But with alchol in my blood, I didn't treat it that well, and I managed to make scratches on it, and it ruined "I dont wanna cry" and "Anytime you need a friend". I was so sad. When I tried to find it on the internet, I couldn't find it anywhere. To my surprise, I had a rare example in my hands that I had ruined. Today, I am a very happy lad, I have bought my self a new dvd player, and now the dvd is just fine again. I can watch all the songs without it jumping to the next song when I try to listen to IDWC and AYNAF. Anyway, I looked it up on Amazon, and now they have to two of the dvd, but it costs over a hundred dollars! Just out of curiosity, have many here have a copy of that dvd? I didn't know when I bought it a few years ago that it was rare. When it comes to covers, I agree with the ones that think Mariah can bring a song to a different level with her voice. I think she owns "Without you" and "I'll be there".

The beautiful ones (39,253) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
I became a fan of Mariah during the Butterfly era, and The Beautiful Ones was for a long time my favourite song on the album. I still love it, but almost never listen to it.

New poll (39,218) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
Ok, next for a [...] poll. I have just wached the 2000 Divas performance of Heartbreaker/Love Hangover. I think that is one of her prime examples of performances. What is [...] favourite perfomance?

Mariah's reputation (39,204) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
I can agree [...] degree that Mariah's bad reputation dates back to the Mottola days. Back then [...] saw Mariah as just as a [...], having nothing to say regarding the path of her career. But that is a long time ago, I don't think [...] even know she was married to him anymore, especially the younger crowd. She could have made a brand [...] image after Mottola, and I like how she was during the Butterfly era, but when Rainbow came out, she was a [...], and the video for Loverboy took it to another [...]. I remember I made my friends watch the Loverboy video, and they couldn't really believe their eyes. I don't think she ever will gain respect from the [...] unless she presents her self as a bit more mature, or a lot more mature. It's ok to be a [...] when you are in [...] 20's, but in [...] 40's? Now, it's time to act like an adult. But after seeing her outfit at the Summer Jam 97, I think she has a long way to go. In my opinion, I think she normally acts mature in her personal life, I think this [...] act is just for the [...], and if I'm right, I don't understand why she wants to be percieved that way. I have listened to Ariana Grande, and I don't like it that much, maybe because I'm a bit tired of RnB. And I think Mariah has a way more powerfull voice than Grande, but I can understand the comparison some bit.

Katy Perry, Lady Gaga (39,178) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
I think the reason why Katy Perry and Lady Gaga go straight to the top 5, is because they are popular. They are still in the stage of their [...] where they can put out almost anything, and it will top the [...]. Mariah did that too, honestly, is Thank God I Found You a number one hit? If Mariah wasn't singing, I don't think anyone would have heard that song. There's a shift in female pop stars these days I think. And if you think of it, has any female passed 40 ever stayed really popular? They may have a hit or two between failures, but it's always the [...] stars that shines the brightest. It's like that in every business. Even Madonna have difficulties with chart performance these days, even though she can sell out the tickets for a concert at Yankee stadium twice in 20 minutes. I don't think Mariah could do that, but then again, she can in Asia. So, I am really happy for #Beautiful and that it reached #15 on Hot 100, it proves that she can still make a hit, and I actually think that would have been enough for [...] to buy the album. Remember, Mariah was voted on Billboard to be the most wanted artist to release a [...] album, I think it would have sold plenty just because she is Mariah. I'm so glad Billboard reminded me of Music Box, now I listen to Everything Fades Away all the time.

Yes, Terna (39,150) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
Even though "Vision of love" is her debut, it isn't the holy grale. I love that song, wasn't the list about songs you like to skip? I have heard "Vision of love" millions of times, therefor I skip it. I was 6 years old when that song came out, and I didn't listen to it then. The first song I heard from Mariah was "Without you". If you look up TsorT.com, you can se that "Without you" was the best charted song in Europe in 1994, that song made Mariah a global superstar. But I became a fan after Butterfly. And since "Without you" was the first song I ever liked from Mariah, I think that is her best cover, it's really emotional, she really connected to that song. Often when Mariah sings, she looks to obsessed with technique, on "Without you", she expresses emotions. I love that.

Mariah Carey (39,128) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
My favorite songs on the worst albums are "I wanna know what love is" from MOAIA, "Against all odds" on Rainbow, and "If it's over" on Emotions. And I completly agree with the one that said that "Makin' it last all night" is one of the worst songs in history. I actually don't know why I bought that deluxe version of that TEOM, I just wanted it all from that era. I have all the singles from TEOM on vinyl. The songs I like to skip on every listening of every album, is "Vision of love", "And you don't remember", "Hero", "One sweet day", "Fouth of July", "How much", none on Glitter, "Through the rain", "Shake it off", "I stay in love", every song on MOAIA umtill "I want to know what love is". My obeservation on how Mariah's [...] image is, and that is a section I miss on Wikipedia, there's no section about her [...] image, and how it is receved, at least here Norway, is that yes, she is a great singer, but that is not I enough. Here in Norway, [...] tend to like smart [...], and hate stupid [...]. In America I have a perception that [...] love a star even though she is peceived as stupid, only they are beautiful. I am not saying at all that Mariah is stupid, I in my opinion thinks she is a smart business woman, and have a [...] persona as a bit naive [...] girl sometimes.

Beyonce (39,035) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
Do you guys sometimes feal guilty because you love a song of onother diva? Well, I do, and now for the first time I really like a song of Beyonce. It's not that really known, I can't find it anywhere on Wikipedia or Spotify. The song has some 200.000 views on YouTube, it's a song from the film Epic. I guess it was a bigger flop then Almost Home then, that at least got 5 million views on YouTube. Nevertheless, you should check it out, now in Mariah drougth, I think it's allowed to have some guilty pleasures. Now, on favourite albums, I became a fan when she released Butterfly, after I heard My All on the radio. After that, I bought all her albums, and I must say that actually I like Daydream more, but Butterfly is close to my heart, because actually I like the sexy Mariah more then the preacher's wife Mariah. But she pushes the boundaries a bit too much sometimes, and I think that is the reason she lost a bit off popularity in Europe in the late '90s. My favourite '00s album is Glitter. By then I had become a huge fan, and I loved the music on it, hated the movie though. Glitter was actually picked as the top five albums of the year by the biggest newspaper here in Norway. I played it all the time. I think it was at that time my family started to dislike Mariah. I can't choose between TEOM and E=MC2, I like them both really much. I don't care for MOAIA, but I did like CB when it was released, but I never listen to it now. Ok, Daydream from the '90s, Glitter from the '00s.

tsort.info (39,004) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
Maybe everyone here knows about this site, but I discovered it today, and I absolutely love it. Check out tsort.info, it contains statistics about artists chart performances worldwide, the site is extensive. I have just spent 3 hours sufing the site: Mariah is currently number 20 on song statistics overall and number 35 on album statistics overall. And remember, it has nothing to do with sales, just chart performance. Enjoy.

Number one fan (38,955) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
I have allways thought of myself as the number one fan of Mariah Carey in Norway, maybe someone in Norway can counter it. But I have searched the internet for what it's worth, and I think I have have a sollid reason to say what I'm about to say. Compared to Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Madonna, Mariah has nothing to compare with world number ones. In fact, in the 2000's, there are many artist that have more number ones than Mariah. Search the WIkipedia, Mariah is actually a mediocre star compared to the biggest stars today. Mariah is a global star, but she has never had a golbal hit, besides Withouth You, compared to artists of today. So, instead of constant argue about what artist is the greatest, we all should think of who is the greatest singer. Because, compared to other artists, Mariah is in the top 20. Why should we rembember Mariah? Beause noone could sing like her. But don't be fooled. there are many female artists that is bigger than her. But her voice, no.

New album (38,925) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
I don't want another Daydream or TEOM, I want something completely new. I have listened to many of her oldest ballads lately, and I really think she should sing ballads. I know ballads is very '90s, and I think that Mariah's decline in popularity is because she is known for that, and ballads aren't really that much in the music scene these days. But maybe she can bring it back. I don't think Mariah will put out any new album until her shoulder is healed. But really, I don't understand how the injury can be so serious, I have dislocated my shoulders many times, and I can really move the arm after it's been put in place again. You shouldn't though, so that's why you need the sling. Anyway, I hope for new music very soon, and where is that music video for the remix she made?

Dear jaker20 (38,722) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
Your [...] is absoloutly my favourite [...] on MCArchives of all time. It's like you wrote my [...] and posted them here, but you are much funnier than me. I have never in my life read a more spot on description of a superstar and Mariah Carey as a brand. Mariah is a brand, let's face it. And since I work at one of the biggest clothing brands in the world, I know something about promotion and hiding the truth. Is that just simply the game? Does anyone [...] believe in everything they hear on whathever medium? Let's face it guys, Mariah's voice is stil great, nobody can sing her songs, not even now that her voice is a bit lower and raspier. Because she has such an [...] tone in her voice that no one can match. And if she wants to be on top of the [...], she has to sell her brand, how can many here think she can have another number 1 if she doesn't speak to the masses. We lambs know when it's for real, and [...] Mariah, she gives us real moments all the time. Have you ever heard Beyonce, Rhianna, Lady Gaga or Madonna talk negative about their talent? No, and I don't think Mariah will do that anytime soon.

Looking In (38,674) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
She really did a fan favourite with Looking In, and I loved it. But was she sometimes a bit outh of synch with the orchestra? I think they played a bit slow, and Mariah wanted it a bit faster. But where do you guys find Hero and #Beautiful? I've searched all over YouTube.

Love Hero for the first time (38,598) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
I really enjoyed Hero on 4th of july, I loved how she went down instead of up, now that her voice can't handle the song like she used to in the '90s. And who can blame her, she is 20 years older. I have sung to Mariah all my life, and in my youth, I really could follow her to some point, but now I'm 30, my voice has gotten really low. I know that you more prone to that when you are a man, but women experience it too. So I love that Mariah uses her lower register where it used to be high. I love her lower register, always has. It's really easy though to see when Mariah is lip synching or not, she uses her muscles in her face when she really sings, especially some intricate movement of her forehead. Hero was live, and I'm glad Mariah disproved the critics and did it live. I have never been a fan of Hero, but maybe I am one now.

Randy (38,505) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
I totally agree with you that this lip synching thing is going to ruin her career. Mariah must be aware of all the accusations about lip synching that turns out to be true. If there wasn't anything wrong with her voice, she would have proven that she still got it, or at least got some voice left. The lip synching at BET Awards is the worst I've seen, she didn't even try to make it look real.

Jeezy remix (38,485) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
I really like the new remix, I actually think it should have been released as the original. But maybe a bit more strpped down, I like that it's more Mariah, but maybe a bit too much? I love the new vocals, and can't wait to hear it.
