I couldn't have put it better myself and agree with you 100 percent. Mariah is going to start losing some of her hardcore fans if she carries on the way she's heading. I'm really angry with her. Even Kim K has spoken out about the shootings, I'm not a fan but I respect her for being vocal to her millions of followers. Nick Cannon is out there marching and voicing his opinions, I think even he's now too deep for Mariah now. I was fortunate to meet Mariah in March at a concert, we weren't allowed to handover gifts there and then, so I asked one of the backstage managers if they could pass on a card, I did explain what it was for. The card was for the charity that I work for, it's celebrating 50 years of providing services to young and old with poor mental health. Basically I put a simple massage in it saying well down for providing services for 50 years. All she had to do was sign it, and I even included an envelope addressed with a stamp. Still to this day nothing. Stella probably thought this is crap, we can't flaunt this on social media. Now I'm not holding a grudge or else would have shared this sooner but it did make me think, wow, the money I've spent on you over the years, I finally get to meet you, I don't choose to have anything of mine signed but for the charity I work for instead and you basically think it's irrelevant or the people running the show do. That's who you're rolling with Mariah... well done. I'm mixed race and feel incredibly disappointed that shes remained silent on the treatment of black people, especially when over the years she's banged on about being oppressed and treated differently for the colour of her skin. That was one of the initial things that connected me with Mariah, I could relate to that. Well I'm taking a stand now, I'm not buying anymore of her sh*t until I feel she's connecting more with her fans and not acting like a selfish moron. Why should I increase her wealth when she's choosing not to use her power and take a few minutes to write a few words on the authorities that has happened to the gay and black communities. I can't support her endeavours as it honestly doesn't feel right in my heart.

You've summarised to a degree what I've just said, she's no longer the Mariah she was but her music is ever lasting. Yes she hasn't been completely vocal on social media but she has through lyrics and interviews. Her present situation is somewhat contradictory in the sense that she is trying to live up to the times with branching out through modern technology such as social media, acting very look at me, yet she chooses to not acknowkwdge things that are happening in the world when many with a voice are. No one can change my opinion in regards to speaking up for what you believe in, no matter what, you can always get your point across in a certain way, I don't think Mariah cares enough to do that or at least is choosing not to. Like many, people choose to keep there mouths shut in case it affects there environment or how they're judged, in my opinion life is too short.

Never thought I'd say this... (64,110)

Guys I've been coming on to this site for years and rarely post unless I really feel the need to do so. I can't believe I'm saying this but I really feel like I no longer know Mariah. The person that I've followed and respected for years is now someone I barely recognise. Obviously we all change as we age but usually we evolve into something stronger and more secure, Mariah is not showing this. I don't think she respects her fans nor appreciates them the way that she used to. Social media is no longer in her hands, showing solidarity for the gay community as well as the black community is no longer expressed, despite the atrocities. It's all about procalaming self gratification, portraying to the world her life is great, and raking the money even if it goes against principles i.e performing for dictators or having a reality show when, no end of times, has ridiculed others for doing the same thing. I will always love Mariah's songs, her creativity but dare I say it, I think I'm slowly falling out of love with the person that I thought she was. Maybe things will calm down, I'm hopeful but I'm also realistic. I just hope that Mariah fixes up. Sick of this trashy, shallow self gratification image. I feel like I can share these sad thoughts with you all as most of my family and friends would just be dismissive of them in relation to Mariah. Thanks for listening guys.

Some people are well extra ion here (59,814)

I visit here every other day or so and have to giggle to myself now again. Although it's wonderful that there are so many passionate Mariah fans on here, some of you can be well extra (over the top) with your opinions and responses. Andrew darling, I need to take you out for a drink to lighten you up a little in regards to Mariah, yes she's no longer at her best and lip sings, but is it really that much of a big deal, this has been happening for years. Mariah seems happy and she's still making music, let's cut her some slack and drop the melodramatic delivery. You're far too beautiful sweetie to give yourself premature wrinkles. If the mere thought of her not performing at her best causes so much concern, sell your ticket and move on. Dear Webmaster, thank you so much for dedicating so much time to this site, it's one the best and extremely informative. I don't think I've ever come across a Webmaster that is so vocal and passionate. I will say however that with monitoring these sites, there comes the good, the bad and the ugly. Try not to allow your passion spill into the latter, you're better than that. Maybe you, Andrew and I should meet and hug it out, whilst seeing who can hit the bestest high note without bursting a blood vessel. Lets just chill out a little over Mariah, after all she has. We all share the same interest/love for Mariah, lets try and remember that. Peace and

Butterfly album (58,540)

I have to say that when I was younger I never really appreciated just how beautiful the Butterfly album really is. My favourite MC song now of all time has to now be "The beautiful Ones". Even though the song is a cover from the infamous Prince, listening to it blasting out of the speakers gives me goose bumps and makes me want to learn the electric guitar. I can hear the desperation in song, wanting your desired lover to choose you and not someone else. What could be more heartbreaking putting yourself out there on the chance that you might be rejected? Such an underrated song that is indeed incredibly powerful. I would love to hear that song live. Fingers crossed she performs it one day. Does anyone know of any live performances of that song?

Luke I have never been on my own but to be honest if my partner wasn't going with me I'd still go on my lonesome. It's been so long since Mariah came to the UK and ok, she's no way as good as she was but hey I've accepted that. I'm just pleased that Mariah is still going, even if she's not on the same par. The atmosphere, the fans, Mariah and the goosebumps will outweigh the fact that you're on your own. I'm sure there are plenty of fans that would bask in the moment with you. If I could, I would have had you join me but my ticket is already booked. Maybe start a post of Mariah fans who have no one to go a concert with? Potentially you could find a fan alike and attend the show with you? You've got nothing to lose.

Mariah tickets- bucket list (58,483)
by Anonymous from

Well guys, I never thought the day would ever come that I get to meet Mariah Carey but low and behold I've managed to purchase some Meet and Greet tickets for the 02 Arena. I'm ecstatic. Am I crazy, well yes I am but the last time I got to see her perform was when I was 18 years old in 2003. I'm now thirty and was adamant that I wouldn't miss an opportunity of seeing her again, especially as she finally returns to the UK. Meeting Mariah was on my bucket list and I can not wait to tick it off. I've told my partner that I waiver all gifts for birthday and Christmas for the next 5 years and beyond. You only live once. I'm sharing this because only you guys would get it. Much love and congrats to all the lucky fans finally getting to see Mariah. Hold on in there fans to those that haven't seen her yet, it took 13 years for her to return to the UK, who knows with your country. My Christmas has now officially started, let the countdown begin.

I think Mariah is fairly happy with her weight and the reason as to why she isn't shifting it is because she wants to keep her booty.

Love MC and always will but not feeling this album (44,155)
by Anonymous from
| |
|
|
Ok first things first. I adore Mariah and have been an avid fan since the mid 90's. My Mariah collection is huge and I'm very proud of this, as well to be a lamb. I'm very open minded and love various genres of music but ultimately, Mariah is and will always be the, crem de la crem. I heard the album yesterday and I have to say, I'm not in love with it. When I first heard Triumphant I thought, tune - especially when loud, yeah I admit it was a bit more rap then expected but I still loved it (should have dropped Rick Ross as his lyrics were pointless). Then I heard Almost Home and thought, wow Mariah is taking it to the next level, experimenting with new avenues of production (both songs I thought were poorly misrepresented and given the recognition they deserved). Then I heard Beautiful and could not stop playing it on repeat, I was almost certain that the track would be big, even bigger than Obsessed. I believe this album is personal to her but doesn't Mariah say that about every one she's realised in the last 10 years? In a nut shell the album is for the critics and the fans, although I am a fan I don't find this ground breaking or stimulating. I've never been a fan of Mariah's who base their interest on record sales or number 1's, I go with what I feel when I hear a music. I have the right to my opinion especially with the amount of money I've spent over the years on her music and concerts alone. I hope Mariah smashes it and proves me wrong and if she does good on her, I'm just saying how I feel. Will always love Mariah but her music is somewhat confused and conflicted, she squeezes in too many directions in one song. Instead each song should have one direction. Much love people.
