About RibbonB from USA: I love Mariah's Music.

Jessica Simpson (92,749) by RibbonB from USA
In her new memoir, she says Mottola made her lose 15 lbs early in her career.

Bill it's too early for these shenanigans. Why'd they have to plonk her down on the couch? LMAO, hilarious.

Re: Roc Nation (92,720) (92,724) by RibbonB from USA
Stop B. Are you trying to make her create the first debacle of the new decade?

Re: Roc Nation (92,712) (92,716) by RibbonB from USA
That would actually be boring for a huge scale show and audience like the Superbowl. Mimi doesn't dance and much of her music just isn't suited for that event, IMO.

Re: Dolly Parton (92,705) (92,710) by RibbonB from USA
I've often dreamed of a country cover of Mariah's Don't Forget About Us. Dolly could do an excellent acoustic cover. Mimi could maybe cover Jolene. Ha, a Dueling Divas project. Hate U is pretty, but I didn't love it, but I bet Dolly could slay it.

Dolly Parton (92,702) by RibbonB from USA
I love Dolly Parton. Such a smart business lady. Here's a great example of how a songwriter should act about a successful song. I love how she speaks fondly of Whitney Houston and her version of I Will Always Love You. I especially love how at 4:44 she breaks it down to Dan Rather. "Give Whitney the credit, just give me the cash." She's a confident, smart and gracious lady and not concerned about what Whitney said or didn't, although they were both gracious to one another. Both recognized their own respective lanes and platforms and didn't whine about the other.

Time Square was so long ago and it got viral attention.

Re: TashaK (92,684) (92,689) by RibbonB from USA
But Mimi befriended that crew and brought them into her and her kid's world. She was being so dumb.

Re: TashaK (92,680) (92,681) by RibbonB from USA
Mariah's scandals really have been rather wack. Even the Stellar crap was so dumb and weird and random and most people dgaf. Mariah was doing fine outside the reality show realm. She's still settling lawsuits that no one is interested in.

Re: Billie and Finneas (92,633) (92,634) by RibbonB from USA
I agree, she was even surprised that she won in comparison to the other nominees. I don't even know about the whole album, but that one song is highly overrated. Whatever though.

Re: Mariah (92,622) (92,627) by RibbonB from USA
Stop being so vicious Bill. Besides, he's too whiny lol. Let him write his own memoir, All I Want for Christmas is Credit.

Re: Ariana / Lizzo (92,617) (92,626) by RibbonB from USA
I saw Dolly Parton and Bonnie Raitt fan fueling for Luzxo. Her performance was great. Billie Eilish winning the top three awards was ridiculous, IMO.

Re: Mariah (92,603) (92,611) by RibbonB from USA
Aren't you being a little OTT especially since she opted to write this tell all. If she had any fears, why write it at all? She has many options including not writing a memoir, especially do early in her life. Hopefully she has a good co writer to help her make an interesting telling of her life this far.

RIP Kobe Bryant (92,609) by RibbonB from USA
Life is short, how sad the loss of him and his daughter in a copter crash. Wow.

Re: Grammys (92,561) (92,565) by RibbonB from USA
I just read the same tweet, but amended by a Barb to have Nicki's name and Chun Li as AOTY. Lol, also fan fiction.

Re: Grammys (92,543) (92,555) by RibbonB from USA
Have you read some of the lawsuit, addressing all the corruption, manipulation, sexism and racism that she claims is associated with the Grammy wins especially in the major categories. I hope it is widely shared in the media. I didn't read that tweet, but the suit mentions Mariah's name from past Grammy shows. I doubt Mimi was in contention for Caution. It will be interesting if this is real, but I can believe some trickery with respect to Lemonade, but fans do like to create fan fiction, even if realistic seeming.

Re: Tour (92,548) (92,553) by RibbonB from USA
She keeps trying and failing with Trey Songz on her remixes. That's more business connection that Kevin Liles connection.

Re: Mariah (92,504) (92,505) by RibbonB from USA
I'll admit I stopped reading your song theories, so I didn't read your last post to the last sentence. But my usual shade towards the usual suspect bt still stands. As for GML, I won't say who I think it's about so people don't get up in arms, but I hope Mimi reveals it in this book she insisted on writing.

Re: Walter Afanasieff (92,490) (92,501) by RibbonB from USA
Yet he invites all the drama with his whining. He gets his money, that's all he's entitled to really. She has acknowledged him as a co writer, but she has a right to limit her discussion to herself rather than talk about other people, especially people she's not cool with.

Maybe she didn't get a package from Bouncy. Lol.

Re: Mariah (92,488) (92,498) by RibbonB from USA
None of the songs are obviously about anything or anybody, you're making assumptions about them all especially the ones you perceive being about Packer and Stella. Why wouldn't she write them all about her rented reality man? We've all a right to our opinions, but it doesn't make them facts.
(Monday 20 January 2020; 12:54)
Re: Mariah (92,474) (92,484) by RibbonB from USA
You have such detailed assumptions about the song targets. I suspect you hard wrong lol. I can't wait for the tea to drop about Giving Me Life. I'm hoping she drops it, in her Memoirs.

Re: Where's whining Walter? (92,468) (92,483) by RibbonB from USA
Lol. Roger even had the nerve to mention Margulies in addition to Walter. They were all lucky to have worked with Mimi, but her success they are not entitled to. I just think it's telling after all Walter's whining, not a word of acknowledgement for her achievement. He's such a tiresome type.

Re: Where's whining Walter? (92,468) (92,482) by RibbonB from USA
I corrected that it should have been JD not he.

Sorry that he should read that JD was inducted before her. Ugh autocorrect.
