About Leito from USA: Loyal fan since 1990. I've seen Mariah perform LIVE 5x's in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area. Lamb, til the end...

Giving up on MC (70,912) by Leito from USA
I've been a fan, ever since I first heard VOL on the radio (1990). The first album (cassette tape) I've ever purchased: "Mariah Carey" (1990). My first concert, "Music Box Tour" in Miami (1993). Every time she released an album/single from 1990-1995, I'd catch 2 busses in get to the nearest music store. Needless to say, I've been a hardcore fan since the beginning. I remembered the first time "fans" started abandoning her. In 1997, she released the "Butterfly" album. The album had more of an urban/hip-hop sound. She released "Honey" (Bad Boy remix), "Breakdown" ft Bone Thugs-n-Harmony and "Babydoll". At that time, people were saying, "MC went too urban. She's trying to be black now." However, I loved her evolution and stuck by her side. Later on, in 2001, we had the "Glitter" fiasco. Again, she had a considerably huge loss in her fan base. Although I enjoyed the movie, it was "messy" and so was her behavior. The album was a risk. However, I believe she was ahead of the times, bringing back the 80's sound. Yet again, I stuck by her side (as a true Lamb should). Then, there was the NBC's Rockefeller Center performance (2014). One of many "lackluster" performances, but the most publicized. MC was slammed and dragged through the mud. As disappointed as I was, I still made tons of excuses and defended her to no end. Finally, moving forward to 2016's NYE performance. Cringe-worthy, to say the least. In the middle of my family's NYE celebration, I called everyone and gathered around the TV. From my 72-year old mom, to 9-year old niece. They all are very aware, I'm a die-hard fan. That night, I was beyond horrified. I found myself saying, "I can't, anymore." I felt defeated and threw in the towel. The next day, I reminded myself all of what MC meant to me. She's been part of most my life (27-years). Her songs have been a light, shining in my darkest moments. I mean, "The Wind" and "One Sweet Day" played at my dad's memorial service. I heard "Through the Rain" for the first time right after I was literally stuck in the pouring rain and having an emotional breakdown. Too many "moments" to list. MC has been there through my good and bad times. There is only one way, I can ever repay her back. Sticking by MC, as she goes through all of her good and bad. Always and forever, Eliel from Fort Lauderdale, FL USA.

Redemption (70,722) by Leito from USA
Let's face it, Mariah may never recover from the NYE debacle. She may never be taken seriously (musically) again. The reality is, she needs a reinvention. Mariah needs to drop the diva act. She is no longer relatable. Humble yourself. Try taking up some causes (publicly) and show people you care more than your make-up/hair, diamonds, champagne and yachts. Hire a new stylist. As nice as your boobs look, people are tired of seeing them popping out. You can still be sexy, in a classy way. Vocal training, or retraining. Know and own your vocal limits. Lower/change the key, on songs you can no longer fully sing live. It's obvious (especially now) when MC is lip-syncing. She has gotten careless and lazy, way too many times. Some of us Lambs will say, "She doesn't need to prove herself anymore." We cannot continue lie to ourselves. If MC wants to continue being in the music world and the public eye, she has to show she is still passionate about it. Currently, her looks take priority over everything else. I wish her the best for 2017, but she really needs to get it together.

Re: What happened to YT? (70,710) (70,713) by Leito from USA
Yeah, I noticed it too. I guess people streamed the video 2,029,019 on New Year's day. Perhaps, they thought it was the video to the NYE (trainwreck) performance and clicked on it.

Richie the headliner and Carey "very special guest"? (69,823) by Leito from USA
"Very special guest" what does this even mean? The tour concludes in Fort Lauderdale (where I live). It'll be exciting to be able to see Mariah, again, in my neck of the woods. However, Lionel is doing his "All the hits" tour. Lionel has been singing since the 60's with the Commodores and has been successful as a solo artist since the 80's. He has a whole lot of hits. Will this mean Mariah will only perform a few songs and possibly duet "Endless Love" with Lionel? I can't see them both, performing all of their hits. I don't know about this. I need more details. I've seen Mariah 5x's and they all have been full/complete concert. The last being "Angels Advocate" tour. It's been almost 7 years. I'd be really dissapointed, if I waiting all this time, just to watch her perform 3 songs.

AIWFCIY current position (69,062) by Leito from USA
AIWFCIY is currently #13 on USA iTunes chart, #38 on Spotify and #15 on Amazon. I hope one day it reaches #1, even if only for just 1 week. It's still possible, folks. Maybe if they sell it at a slightly discounted rate? There are currently 3 songs selling at a discounted price, charting higher than AIWFCIY. I've been streaming it, on repeat, all day on Spotify.

I'm still with her (MC) (68,946) by Leito from USA
Fan from 1990 to infinity. I'm trying to stay positive with this era. Like one of MC's quotes; "Life is like a rollercoaster", is my current mood with her. Just when you think the scariest part was over, something even more horrifying happens. Lol. She's having too many cringeworthy "moments". She went from a billionaire to thousandaire. Tanaka is gorgeous, but it's just too soon. I'm hoping this is just a stunt, to get people to tune into Mariah's World. I'm going to defend MC to my last breath, but it gets exhausting. I'm still with her until the end. Come Sunday, I'll be watching Mariah's World with the besties. MC, please snap out it, soon. Love ya.

As long as she's not seen under "fluorescent" light. Lol.

Re: I find it funny (62,092) (62,110) by Leito from USA
Exactly. She didn't have a breakdown in 2001 for nothing. She's been working non-stop since she busted into the scenes. Tell me one 40+ year old singer (I'm talking about a real vocal singer) who sound as they did at 18-25 years old. Look at Christina A. She is a decade younger than Mariah. She doesn't sound the same, as she did in the first half of her career. People need to let that rest already.

Just for the nostalgia (59,481) by Leito from USA
This weekend, I found myself in a nostalgic mood. I spent lots of time reviewing several of MC's liv awards show performances, from 1990-2015. I noticed around 2002ish, there was a change in her performances. We can all agree, when it comes to hitting certain notes, she's lost her confidence. I also noticed, there was a time she didn't care how contorted her face looked, she just sang the heck out of the song. However, there came a point, when she started covering her face, or turning around a lot. I believe this hinders her, from having flawless performances. She seems more concerned about someone catching her doing an ugly face. I wish she would go back to where she didn't care about looking pretty all the time. She needs to just sing her butt off and make moments. I know she still has it in her. She hasn't retired yet and I know she would love to have another hit. Most of the public (non-Lambs) already think she lip-synchs all the time. She needs to get down-n-dirty and slay the world.

Re: What Mariah needs (57,737) (57,741) by Leito from USA
Exactly, she needs to re-invent her image and her music. She did it during the Butterfly era and again (to me) the TEOM era. Too bad there is a "no Mariah-clause" on Benny Medina's contract with JLo. Mariah can sure use him again.

Re: Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade (57,617) (57,625) by Leito from USA
I'm not sure if she will be on a float or a main stage. If she's on a float, those performances are usually lip-synced.

iTunes chart (55,186) by Leito from USA
It appears the recent press Mariah is receiving is helping with her popularity. Yesterday, on Global iTunes Artist Ranking, she jumped from #197 to #157. Today, she jumped another 25 spots and is currently at #132. Mariah is getting some .

My wish (48,461) by Leito from USA
My wish for MC, forget about the glitz and glamour for one day. Forget the extensions, make-up, the ensemble. Instead, use the time to do necessary vocal warm-up. I want her to do a surprise stripped-down performance on an award show, or popular talk show. No dubbing, no pre-recorded vocals, no big production and no over-powering back-up singers. Just shut the mutha******* s**t down. Unfortunately, until then, she will not get much respect (as a singer) from the general public. Some lambs will say, "She doesn't have anything to prove anymore." I beg to differ. Obviously, MC still wants to stay in the game. She is still young enough to have more hits and more success. Call me selfish, I don't want all of MC's records to be broken by any of these younger and less-talented pop starlets. It's time for a reinvention. I don't think this is much to ask for. I feel the general public's perception keeps some of her best work from seeing the light of day. There have been too many missed opportunities. Sadly now, people only know MC as a mediocre, stiff singer. Not to forget the low-budget productions and outdated choreography. Now, before anyone jumps down my throat, I'm a loyal fan. I have spent lots of money supporting MC since VOL (1990). Someone needs to keep it 100 and not be like the people currently surrounding her. Look what happened when MC brought Benny Medina into the picture. The best-selling album of 2005, TEOM.

Updates, appearances, or anything (45,131) by Leito from USA
I visit this site (and others) daily for any type of update, or scheduled appearances to promote the new album. WTF, my patience is wearing thin. I've done my part promoting her new music at work, with friends, family and even on different social networks. I'm going to always keep supporting MC cbecause she's my #1 artist of all time. I just get frustrated when I know people (outside of us Lambs) are missing out on some great music. Until I mentioned it, lots of my friends/co-workers/family didn't even know she had an album out. I know others have already voiced there same frustration. I just wanted to throw mines in here too. Lol. Be bless my fellow Lambily.

Macy's Firework Spectacular (38,535) by Leito from USA
Now with this Idol/BET lip-sync drama, people are either not going to tune in to see Mariah, or they will so they can shred her to pieces. They say any press is good press, I'm not too sure about this. Mariah is known for her voice. If she can't prove she can sing live anymore, I don't see much success on a world tour. It may have to be in smaller venues again, like the Angels Advocate Tour, or CB Tour. I've stuck by Mariah since VOL and seen her in concert 5 times. However, I almost don't want to see her perform on TV shows anymore. Like someone mentioned before, she needs to do another unplugged performance to redeem herself. Especially with the new album coming out. Take care and keep the faith.

Me love me some Almost Home (37,243) by Leito from USA
I stayed up to midnight to buy my copy from iTunes ($1.29) on laptop and from Amazon ($.99) for my phone. I wasn't too happy with the original version of "Triumphant", but I am happy and excited for "Almost Home". I know it's a soundtrack song for a movie, but I still love it. I listened to it yesterday on Soundcloud (about 40 times), but I made sure I still paid for a legal copy. We gotta support our queen.

Outfit in NYC (37,159) by Leito from USA
I love you MC, but the outfit is not cute. It shows the stomach you have and it makes it look like you have no butt. I expect so much more from you. P.S. I saw the top of your Spandex showing between your breast, last night on AI.

Mariah/Barbara (37,060) by Leito from USA
Lashonda Collins: After Mraiah said "I didn't know she sang. I thought she rapped," you forgot to add she looked to the side, flickered her hand and said "or something like that". Lol. The shade of it all. She's always very subtle, but always makes me giggle. I love Mimi to death. I can't wait for the season of AI to start and new music from the queen.

AIWFCIY possible #1 (36,917) by Leito from USA
Didn't the Billboard rules change recently? If so, doesn't this song have the chance to hit #1? If so, we should make it happen. Last I check it was #11 on iTunes. I just downloaded it myself.

#1's Album (36,766) by Leito from USA
I was just surprised to see Mariah's #1's album is currently #51 on iTunes. How did that come about? Could it be the AI commercials helping the sales of a 14 year old album? I find it interesting.

MCIIY (36,717) by Leito from USA
Doing some schoolwork and listening to MCIIY in the background. Nothing puts me in a better mood than Christmas music. Especially coming from MC.
