It's not a traditional album campaign, so I wouldn't look at it too deeply. Mariah and Sony probably don't want to waste new music on an album that is supposed to promote her residency and really just remind fans why she is one to the all time greats. It's literally her next Charmbracelet in disguise, the idea is that it is meant to mend some bridges with the record buying public. I do hope that the single is a strong one though. I agree with Andrew, it can't be a run of the mill rnb song. It has to be a strong, uptempo, pop song. That's the only way it will capture the public's attention, and help her residency.
