Save the Day (95,052) by Lee from UK
I like the song but why did I think Lauren Hill was going to be more of a feature on this song? Maybe that's why Lauren isn't added as a "featuring" artist and she's relegated to the description section "with Ms Lauren Hill"?

Re: Mariah on GMA (95,015) (95,021) by Lee from UK
I agree that this was certainly not a "live" performance. It was live when she pre-recorded it but it sounds like a lot of engineering then went into it. Nothing about VoL or CME sounded natural. In some parts it even sounded like the vocals themselves were computer generated but that's a product of over-engineering and audio manipulation. Maybe one day in the not too distant future we may get a fully live performance from Mariah. Even if she sounds nasal, strained and gritty, I'd much prefer that to what we've listened to over lockdown.

Save the Day (94,965) by Lee from UK
This comprehensive list of unreleased songs by Mariah lists a track called "Save The Day" which was allegedly written and produced by Mariah and Jermaine Dupri in 2012 for charity. Could it possibly be the same track from the Rarities?

Lauren Hill (94,964) by Lee from UK
Mariah is reported to have written a song with Lauren Hill during the Rainbow era called Crystal Ball. I wonder if this is the same song as Save the Day?

Rarities (94,961) by Lee from UK
So in October we are getting some Tokyo Dome tracks in addition to a track with Lauren Hill.

Undubbed Live Debut (94,630) by Lee from UK
I am really enjoying the undubbed vocals on the Live Debut EP. The whistle in Don't Play That Song is weaker than anyone had previously heard but raw.

Glitter (94,164) by Lee from UK
Finally, Glitter is available on Spotify.

Everything Fades Away (93,104) by Lee from UK
She did that. I'm loving these back stage moments. First, Slipping Away and now, Everything Fades Away. My 1990s inner child is satisfied.

Mariah at Pride (92,866) by Lee from UK
I have my tickets and I'm excited. I hope she shows up and puts on a good show. Apparently she's doing a 75 minute set and I'm hoping there are minimal costume changes. Has Mariah ever headlined a pride event before?

(91,685) by Lee from UK
I'm over the moon. I can't believe it took 25 years but it's finally at number 1. 30 years into her career and still breaking records

Jesus born on this day (91,130) by Lee from UK
This is apparently an unreleased mix of Jesus Born on This Day. It seems legit.

Joy to the World acapella (91,115) by Lee from UK
Bill, you and I must subscribe to the same youtube channels. Here is an acapella of Joy to the World which was released at the same time.

Extra vocals (90,829) by Lee from UK
I love getting to hear (old) new Mariah vocals from back in the day. Here is an extended acapella version of Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) with some extra vocals at the end that never made it to the album. Enjoy.

Re: Two voices (90,223) (90,229) by Lee from UK
I don't think Whitney is singing Without You in this song. She is performing another song but hitting the same notes so they have mashed it together. I could be wrong but it sounds amazing.

Mariah Pride (89,799) by Lee from UK
Does anyone know what proportion (if any) of Mariah's Pride merchandise sales goes towards LGBT charities?

Endless Love (89,724) by Lee from UK
She did that with Trey Lorenz.

I'm here for those new high notes despite them being digitally altered.

Re: Chanel 5 "documentary" (87,179) (87,192) by Lee from UK
But did you watch the one that was on straight after the Christmas one? You may be able to get this on the channel 5 website too.

Sorry, Walter wasn't on it. He was on the documentary before talking about AIWFC. Damizza was on it though.

Mariah: The Diva, The Demons, The Drama (87,153) by Lee from UK
I'm watching the new documentary on Channel 5 in the UK. It has her brother, her sister, Walter, Ben Margulies and every other Tom, Dick and Harry from her past. That famous Mariah look-a-like keeps popping up in dramatised re-enactments. It is making me so mad. I can't stop watching though.

Extended version of O Holy Night (86,732) by Lee from UK
Does anyone know where/when this extended version of O Holy Night was released?

With You GMA (86,243) by Lee from UK
So Mariah's GMA performance was another "film it twice and select the best vocals" thing. There are videos on Instagram of producers getting people ready for a "second take" and getting them seated. However, these vocals filmed by an audience member are amazing and she should have stuck with these.

Aggressive (85,026) by Lee from UK
I'm pretty sure Jermaine Dupri called this album "aggressive". So far we have GTFO, With You and The Distance. They all feel pretty mellow to me. I wonder if the remaining 2 thirds of the album gets any more aggressive?

(84,293) by Lee from UK
Melodically and vocally I love this song. It suits Mariah's current voice and shouldn't be too taxing to sing live without lip syncing. It sounds like I Stay in Love and Love Story in parts. As much I like Brian Tenaka, I think the lyrical content could have been less specific to him. Overall this is the first time in a very long time that I've instantly enjoyed a Mariah song.

Clutching at straws (83,953) by Lee from UK
Mariah did sound better after loosening/removing the corset and then covering it with the cardigan. She still had to lip the climax of ABMB though. I cannot believe we are at a point where we are all happy that Mariah can now walk unassisted. Are we clutching at straws? Perhaps if Mariah wore a cardigan and flats all the time, and took out her raggaedy magic hair, she would sound miles better.
