Alex, voice of reason (42,440) by Brad Catoe from United States Thank you Alex, so true. To be honest, some people on this board remind me of Tommy Motolla. Sing this way, sing that way, sing these kind of songs, sing more ballads, more pop songs. Let the woman be. She's not a factory, she's a true artist who needs to be inspired to write music. If she couldn't write or sing anymore we should applaud her for one of the most incredible artist of all time. Instead I just see a lot of criticism. Give her a break (42,437) by Brad Catoe from United States Mariah has not lost respect for her fans. I think that's a crazy thing to say. I know someone who knows a lot about the music industry and he is saying that a lot of crazy stuff going on with that label. He also has really great insight into what was happening with all the push back and said she was really between a rock and a hard place. She's obviously having problems with the label so lets give her a break. It's been a hard year and a half for her with these singles and AI. It's all good lambs. Also, who ever said the lambs hate Nick, don't generalize. I love Nick and they're obviously happy. I just heard Nick on Stern this morning and he's always trying to push the boundaries. I am so used to Mimi being everywhere at all times so I never thought of her slowing down. Wow, you know what though, I am really happy for her. You can tell she is so happy. Mariah has given us so much over the years. If you think about it, we all benefited in many ways from her misery lol. I'm happy that she's still making music and hopefully touring a little. I have been listening to Mariah for years so when I heard there was this new artist that sounds like Mariah, I was intrigued until I heard her song and then I promptly changed the channel. The drama (41,989) by Brad Catoe from United States Your posts are cracking me up. I love it. Mariah message boards have always been a mess with "lambs". That's why I rarely visit. It's always like we really love Mariah but we hate her hair, her voice, the way she talks, the way she interviews, her perspective, her music, she sings with too many rappers, her music is out dated blah blah blah. Trust me I can critically think and sometimes I don't love everything Mariah does, but I always respect her. She's a mother with two kids who is balancing a demanding career with her family life. I think it's a feat in itself to write music and I think I can say Mimi has never made horrible music. Ok now you can go back to criticizing her and her decades long career. Lol. I'm happy that Mariah is making the music she likes and not fitting into some mold. I think you can tell she still feels passionately about her music. That's the important thing I thing. Mariah is not pefect (40,145) by Brad Catoe from United States Also the New York performance was really amazing. I was impressed, especially with how cold it was. Sometimes this board get really critical and hateful. Mariah's career over with? I don't think so. I hope she doesn't read this board because I think there are way more lambs than not who think she sounds fabulous. Does anybody remember her performance of AIWFCIY last year in New York? I thought it was one of the best in her career. I think it's human nature to see the negative in things. Also people who have negative things are mire vocal by nature. I hope Mariah knows that there are many who still love her voice. I have a friend who always says Mariah on her worst day sounds better than anyone else out there and I agree. I agree Special K (39,896) by Brad Catoe from United States So TAOLG is not my favorite either, but I still like it. It's great that we still get music from Mariah that's actually good. Also I don't think any of these last songs sounded "unfinished". I think a lot of us take Mariah's talents for granted. It must be incredibly difficult to go into the studio, write a song from the heart, and it actually sound good. If you think about it, most of us are in love with 95% of Mimi's catalogue. Have you heard the other shit most people put out? It's a blessing that we have her music in out lives to inspire us. Also, she said this was for the fans. It's in a song lol. He sold her out to Tommy. Now, I'm sure she's over it and "let go", but how would you feel if someone asked you about working with someone like that again. They don't speak for a reason. I think it's great if you guys want to ask and I say go ahead. I'm not saying you shouldn't, but I can't help but think she would be annoyed. Can we get some news? (38,980) by Brad Catoe from United States Where's the album? It's so silly to seriously injure yourself for a remix to a song that has fallen off the charts. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of #Beautiful, but just because you fall off a box don't mean you fall off the radar. The album was supposed to be out weeks ago and now there is no news. What's going on? #Beautiful has become annoying haha. She should at least throw us lambs a bone, she knows we're waiting. Also, where's the second single? What's it called? If she was ready to perform it at BET, why hasn't some sort of news leaked. Oh and now she's competing with Gaga and Katy. That's all everyone is going to be talking about for the next few months. I understand that everyone has their opinion, but it just gets old after awhile. I am so excited for the new album and honesty, Mariah's recent performances have been really amazing, which I think think is a sign that the new album s going to be exceptional. #Beautiful is on of my favorite Mimi pop songs and I can't wait to hear more. AI (37,258) by Brad Catoe from United States So I'm a did hard lamb, but I despise AI, so I stopped watching it after a few episodes. I clicked over tonight after reading on her that Mariah was being timid etc. I thought she did fabulous. Her and Randy are the only ones up there who know what they're talking about. It supposed to be a singing competition, so lets kick all the judges off, because Mimi is queen. Lol btw I'm so grateful for Almost Home. It's pure pop, but you can hear Mariah's influences in the writing, both lyrics and melody. She truly can do anything. I'm just glad it's a real song, unike you know what haha. I'm sure the "new" single will be better than the first, not to bring up a sore subject. Haha Also, I think Mimi is doing fabulous on AI. I'm so happy that she is coming off as herself.
