Nostalgia (51,424) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
I don't think of one exact album. When Mariah came out I was 6 almost 7 in the fall. I remember the first time I saw her was when I came home from school off the bus. One of my older sister loved to watch BET, back then it as music videos all the time (good ole' days) lol. I remember I used to lay on her bed while she would be doing her homework. I remember I heard this weird space sound thingy on the TV. I looked over and it's this girl with brown curly hair that looked just like mines. I was mesmorized and curious about her. Skip months the song that made me crazy about her at that age was "Someday" that was my jam lol. It was played on the radio a lot and my friend and I would play it over and over again on my cassette tape player. My first full album I actualy bought myself was Daydream. Glitter means a lot to me too because I skipped school on 9/11, me and my friends in high school signed into home room, snuck out the back lol went to the mall and bought Glitter first day and I remember my mom came to the school after she heard about the plane and everything and I wasn't there. Cell phones weren't big around that time so she didn't know where I was. Short story I was grounded for like the remainder of the year lol, my senior year none the less.

Nick (51,420) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
I think everyone has been way to fast to jump on this gossip bandwagon. Mariah is a big girl and beyond this fake/Marilyn act is a very smart business savy woman. Best believe she made him sign a confidentiality contract prior to the marriage. I'm sure her marriage with Tommy taught her a lot. I don't buy this whole story, He signed a book deal for kids books and he's coming out with a poetry book. Mariah also just tweeted a picture with him and the kids. None of us know what exactly happened. It takes two to make a marriage work. Mariah isn't perfect and neither is Nick too. The one thing I'm sick of seeing is the constant posts about her weight. Get over it. If you don't like what anyone writes then scroll on down, that's why it was invented for. Some of you are taking what some of us say and injecting your own insecurities about yourself into them. Further more no one said Mariah was fat, we didn't even use that word. That's what your insecurities about yourself is hearing about you. Not everyone is going to agree with you and you might not even agree with everyone shocker. Lol. You'd rather and she should rather the lambs say it then the outside public/media. At least when we say lose weight or relax your voice we care and mean well.

Truth hurts / looks (51,267) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
I happen to agree with Marcel about her looks. Mariah looks bad now. We don't have that long until the first show. We should be seeing her in the best shape like most singers do when they start to do shows. Not to mention she's more comfortable and confident when she looks her best. Another thing I'm a little tired of is the diva act. First off I have a little one Ms. Monroe's age. Time for that little one to walk. I notice when the kids are with Nick they walk and it's less entourage and with Mariah she's surronded by her goons and got strollers lol crazy. She is so dainty, if you need help walking stop wearing heels. I can't with Mariah, she isn't likeable to me now. I really thought after having the kids things with her would shift. But it's more weird and even more diva. After everything Patti has done for her, why hasn't she shown up atleast once to cheer her on with Dancing With The Stars? JLo came with her friend, Cher came for her son. Julia Roberts even came once and a few other celebs for their friends, family. I see now what Brenda K. Starr said. Until Mariah works on herself and get off her pedestal she will never be liked again In the public anymore. Nor will older lambs want to support her in anything.

Demo tapes (51,219) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
I'm really loving the Someday original version. It's a lot more less polished and over produced then the final version. I can see why she doesn't like the album version. I'm just so happy to finally hear her sing this song again. That and "I don't wanna cry".

Very interesting (49,899) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
Oh how things are different. I've been saying for awhile that Mariah has problems that need to be worked on. I see a few people are now coming on aboard now. Mariah has been working hard since 18 when she first got her record deal. Tommy never let her take a break. He also didn't help with her insecurities, he made them worse. Until this day she still hates her left side. The biggest problem is Mariah doesn't know how to turn off being Mariah Carey. She's never taken a true break. She always ends up working. She's never just laid low and pulled a Adele or Sade or Celine. Mariah Carey is always on. She also has a drinking problem, she needs to really sign up for therapy and finally deal with the past issues and everything. By 45 she should feel comfortable with herself and know who she is. She doesn't, she's more of a mess now then when she was younger. This is worse then Glitter. She needs to work on her confidence. I say that as someone who needs to do the same. I feel very bad for her, she's worked so hard and it breaks my heart for people to call one of the biggest selling female artist in history a has been or needs to retire. You can tell she doesn't even care anymore. Nobody is destroying her legacy but Mariah.

Vocals (49,524) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
Her vocals though were good though I must admit. It's just the whole package needs major work. The outfits, stage presence, background dancers, For a veteran like Mariah, she sure does use a church fashion show budget. Oh Mimi, please you still got time. Hire the best person to help with your residency. Hire a big time designer to design costumes, you always look amazing when you wear Tom Ford. Maybe try Bob who designed for Cher. Don't hire Rachel or Debbie, get the best and work on your stage presence and learn some dance moves atleast how to move. Hire some of the drag queens from Rupaul's show and let them teach you how to lip sync. People won't be mad at you doing it, if it's done right and you're not turning around in a circle (what are you doing?) lol. Atleast dance when you are, so you can have a legit excuse to do it.

Concert / Vegas / Adam (49,523) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
I didn't like her Jazz and Blues concert. Her performances are becoming a mess, every time she sings now, it's always a problem with her earpiece. You would think they would have been on top of that by now. Enough with the tacky clothes already. I just don't see how Mariah expects to sell at Vegas, the first show tickets aren't even sold out. You still can get tickets for the first few rows. I also shout out Adam, I was thinking that too. Why she decided to do this concert who has the worst LGBT rights? There was a gay young man there who not to long ago was killed by a mob at a party and he was only 17.

Mariah / Vegas (49,093) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
Thanks Adam, I appreciate your post. MCA has always been a fan site where all opinions good or bad are welcomed. That's why I've always enjoyed this site. There are other sites that cater to just good Mariah news and messages. I suggest those who want the latter go to those. That's pretty much just it. We're all Mariah fans, we all love and want the best for her. I like others see her as a family member we love but sometimes you gotta give them tough love. Vegas would be great for her, just not anytime soon. She needs to rest and enjoy life. Take care of her voice, find herself again and get inspired. Get her personal life In control. Look at JLo, she's not perfect, doesn't sell anything but you would never guess. She's so put together and comfortable in her skin and age she owns it. On to #MC25 I keep listening to this now, I wish Mariah wouldn't be so ashamed of this era. Someday is everything. The whole album is great, it's still one of her best solid body of work she's released.

Vegas (49,020) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
This is a huge mistake. The difference between Celine, Britney, JLo thyer're comfortable on stage and own it. Mariah is uncomfortable, wears hideous clothing. Plus, we all know the set list. She sings the same songs over and over again. Madonna is the only artist who doesn't need to do a concert based on her oldies. Mariah doesn't even perform on stage, her Butterfly, Rainbow tours were good. But to me ever since 2003 her shows always appear cheap, the stage, dancers and costumes. She really has no idea how to just relax and be normal for a change. It's sad no one is telling her the truth. She's in no way up vocally for a show and sorry but when people hear the name Mariah Carey they expect the voice not lipping she'll be dragged through the dirt if she doesn't bring it every night. Mariah just relax and get your personal business in order and take a long vacation. Travel and get inspired again. Dembabies are getting big, cherish these times. Relax your voice.

Next album (48,827) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
I know there seems to be a lot of talk about Mariah's "next" album for next year. I really hope it's not. Mariah needs to take atleast two years off. Give her voice a break and work on it some more and get her life under control. For the 25th anniversary, I would so rather she works together with Sony Classics and out together a re-release of her debut album. With maybe unreleased songs from that era, out takes from recording and video footage. In a really nice box set for the fans. She could promote that but not perform on TV. Also do her annual Christmas concerts again next year. I hear she's going on a European tour in 2015. She needs to ditch the diva and go find herself back again. Stop with this weird celebrity wannabe Marilyn Monroe act.

Lol (38,630) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
Mariah's videos were events? LMAO. Since when? She's had a handful of videos that were good out of a 25 year career. Oh and I can't stand when fans say 23 years. She signed her contract in 1988 and was singing background for Starr. [...]

Nick director (38,629) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
I think Island put a little money into the original video and the explicit version. But, Island doesn't put a lot of money into Mariah anymore, they save it for Rihanna and Justin. Having Nick do it is cheap for her and her management. I pray Mariah is resting and better. Mariah [...], I'm sure they gave you pain pills.

What happened? I'll tell you (38,555) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
I'm still shocked a lot of fans and critics don't know. Everyone keeps saying in 1997 it changed. Yes and no. Look at early 1997, her voice was still good. Her voice went down hill when she divorced Tommy Mottolla. It's known that when she was in the "Tommy years" aka golden years, he made her take care of her voice, she had a vocal coach, took care of it good, but most important she didn't drink like she does now. When she divorced him, she started to go out more and stay out all hours of the night and started going to bed during the day (which still happens). Whitney messed up her voice with drugs, Mariah messed hers up by partying and drinking and not properly taking care of her voice. In every recent picture, what is she holding? A glass of splash lol. Which I'm starting to think Eminem was right, she does have a problem. In the limo ride to the Hot 97 performance, she wasn't drinking hot tea, she was drinking wine/champagne. Her voice was at its best when she was pregnant, look at her performances during those months. She cut the drinking out and was getting rest. She needs to face facts and get rid of the booze and hire a vocal coach. Also bring the key down and she also needs to study Whitney/Aretha performance videos and get better at commanding the stage. Stop posing/be afraid to move.

Brad (38,405) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
Nick is worth no 100M lol. This remix is awful, all they did was add A$AP's voice and those annoying uh ah through out. I haven't been impressed with a hip-hop remix of MC's since ''TEOM''' era. She's gotten very lazy with her remixes. I believe Mariah should take off some years and go away and get her mojo back. Her sound is stale now and boring. I love #Beautiful, but usually with a new Mariah song, I play it non stop, some days I don't even play it because to me it gets boring. I believe after Triumphant failed, she started from scratch. She should go away for a couple of years and get out the pubic eye and let people miss her. I agree with Wendy, Mariah in the past was good at going away and you wouldn't see or hear from her.

Voice and age (38,199) by TJ (38,202) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
I agree. I've noticed on a lot of pics Mariah has posted on Instagram that she drinks a lot. That easter pic of her with the kids, a glass is right in front of her lol. The limo ride to Hot 97? A glass in her hand lol. I kinda think Eminem was on to something when he said she drinks a lot. All that alcohol isn't good for your voice. Notice when she was pregnant her voice was the strongest it's been in years. Mariah needs to hire a vocal coach and take better care of her voice. She doesn't get much sleep either, her crazy hours she works. Oh and the way she was laughing I'm pretty sure a splash was in that sippy cup be hide the scenes of #Beautiful.

#Beautiful video (37,789) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
I love the video. It's such a Sweetheart, Always Be My Baby, Dreamlover' kind of video. I hope and pray I look that good at 43 years old. The video is hot, I'm so sick of the fact that when Madonna whose 50+ wears sexy stuff she never gets trashed. She showed up at the Mala with a sexy outfit. Jenny Lo whose MC's age was on AI wearing skimpy clothes dancing and shaking her overrated butt on tv in front of kids. Yet Mariah always gets trashed. People seriously need to get a life. It was sexy, sultry and yet classy, it was just right. I think people still see her as the 1990-1997 Mariah.

I agree (37,441) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
I agree that MC should stop with the "biggest selling female artist of all times" oh and the talk of 18 #1's. I notice now Mariah is too much into her head, when she talks on Idol, she's not being herself. She's thinking too much what to say to be liked and not booed. I also notice that ever since she got all that attention on HSN with the "moments", she tries to relieve all that, The aussie reporter said it best. She's become to into herself lately. I stopped being the fan I was in the past. I no longer care if she's #1, I don't request her songs on radio, I don't fill out things online either. All I want is for her to keep releasing good music and I'll buy it. As long as I love it, I don't care what the rest of the world thinks of it. I also wish she would get out of this release an uptempo song first and then a ballad. Tired. E=MC2 had so many hits on that album and she destroyed it with "Bye Bye", which isn't that great. That album should have sold and done way better. That album is one of her best, her best uptempos in a long time. Oh and stop working with Stargate, all his songs sound the same, tired euro beats. His songs with MC aren't that good, He works better with Ne-Yo and Rihanna.

Mariah's success (37,370) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
I don't think it's fair to compare Madonna, Beyonce, Rihanna's tour success to Mariah's. First off, Madonna has always been an entertainer. Her concerts are the best, hands down. But at the same time she brings in 300 million, but look at her album sales lol. Rihanna is 25 years old. When Mariah was her age (Daydream era), Mariah was on the top of the world. Not everyone stays on the top for long. Rihanna's time is now, but come back in 10 years or 15 years and lets see where she is. Beyonce is a triple threat. She's a singer, dancer and songwriter, she is an alround entertainer. This generations Tina Turner. Mariah was never a performer and far as I'm concerned, if you've seen one Mariah concert, you seen them all. Same setlist (with 3-4 new songs), same routines. She's never really had big concerts and she never did get a load of people to see her. Now from 90-99 people wanted to see her, to hear her voice, she barely toured and when she did, it wasn't long. Mariah's career is fine, all she needs is the right singles and promo and she'll be back at #1. I hope she uses Idol while the fire is good, like JLo did.

Hmm (37,312) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
Almost Home is a good song, perfect Disney song in 2013. I love it and I bought and I don't care if others don't like it. I'm more excited on the album. I'm hoping it has a mature sound, Mariah's fans are grown adults now and it's time to ditch songs that are targeted towards teens. I'd rather do a banging album that's mature and kinda 60's, 70's retro R&B/Pop, as long as her hearts in it. Mariah hasn't been into a album since "TEOM''. E=MC2 was her last great album and she and her team and IDJ just dropped the ball. I noticed Mariah started going down a slump when Benny left right after TMB. I kinda wish Mariah would mix things up and try other producers, She needs a new sound and a new look. There were songs that were released that I wish Mariah wrote like Kelly Clarkson's ''Stronger''.

Almost Home (37,287) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
I love Almost home. I think people need to move on about "chart performance". Almost Home is already a winner it's gotten amazing reviews from critics more then Triumphant got. It also charted higher then Triumphant on iTunes. The days of Mariah Carey, Madonna, Celine, Janet, Toni Braxton, even Barbra, Diana, Aretha, Prince ruling radio is over. It's sad but true, radio is very different then when these legends ruled. What bothers me though is where are the lambs? All these years the lambs have always showed their support for her, remember ''Through the rain" horrible radio play but amazing single sales, Loverboy, TGIFY all had big single sales when radio was weak. A lot of lambs have left her. Mariah has a lot of fair weather fans.
