CD+DVD, Sony and divorce (49,245) by Luis from Spain Wikipedia named her upcoming project "Mariah Carey's #1's" despite no official name has been announced. I think it should include her videos for the first time ever. Mariah is the only legendary artist I know that has not got a proper music video compilation. As I mentioned the other day, it seems to be a Sony plus Universal catalogue, nevertheless, if she is releasing new material, Universal is very likely to be distributing the album while licensing Sony's tracks. We will wait and see. Apparently, Nick filed for divorce one month ago when the whole Rockefeller thing happened. Maybe it was true that she was having a rough day. I hope her divorce is done for good for both. She seemed to be really happy despite things turned bad from her injury on. Here it is my viewpoint on her marriage: if you marry an immature guy, it cannot end up well. I wish them well though. (Saturday 17 January 2015; 0:59)

Smart move (49,196) by Luis from Spain I liked how she looked on Ellen. The same smile she had during the TEOM era ten years ago. Do we know when the updated One's will be released? I think on May to coincide with her opening night. I was wondering, if she includes 18 singles in her CD, no new songs will be included, aren't they? They wouldn't fit. It would be a pity as a couple of unreleased songs will be fun of us fans even without releasing them as singles at risk of flopping again. (Thursday 15 January 2015; 16:12)

A GH would be very wise now but one that she could actually promote. She makes money from any compilation (for those who claim that there are many GH albums out there) but with a cleverly-released product she could prove that she has a heavy legacy to be proud of. Maybe we fans are used to worse performances and after watching her defending herself properly we tend to think she has done a good job. I freaked out with Twitter yesterday. Derek (48,042) by Luis from Spain It is often taken for granted that Mariah had an affair with Derek during fall 1996 and apparently they met in an event to where Tommy assisted as well (there are pictures of the three together). Someone above said they started dating back in 1995 but I don't think so, since Mariah was very busy promoting Daydream at the time. 1996 is more precise since Mariah and Tommy were in crisis since the cancellation of Forever and Underneath Of Stars. When Mariah came back from the tour, she changed her looks and they started living separetely since "Butterfly" was the first album that Mariah recorded outside her home. "The Roof" talks about November. They were together until 1998 and they appeared officially in public after Mariah's divorce in March. 1996 was full of gossip and it probably was one of the darkest years in Mariah's career. Look (46,874) by Luis from Spain Thanks for all the likes in my previous post. Yeah, I am happy I am not the only one who has noticed this. I hope she gets great exposure during this tour. TAOM was not that great but the Charmbracelet tour helped to boost her sales soon after. She won't be selling much copies of MIAMTEC, but I think this tour will help her to recover her legend status. She seems to dress "her age" (okay, inverted commas because this is a cliché) but, now, really, she seems to have quitted dresses and extravagant clothing and now she looks fantastic. Songs about people (46,710) by Luis from Spain I have read lots of messages explaining the meaning behind some songs. I think songs are like books (I am an author myself): they are inspired by people but don't talk about them in a direct way. It's impossible to be realistic when writing a song. In fact, we know that she had been working on this album for long. I think the real breakup album will arrive next. (Wednesday 10 September 2014; 14:51)

Answer to Matt Summers - "Roc and Roe's 12 Days of Christmas" Holiday book (46,390) by Luis from Spain Hi, I work at a publishing house in Spain and we requested a license to Scholastic so as to translate the book. Two weeks later, still no answer. I know that they passed my email to their agent, so for the moment, still waiting. I really want to acquire its rights but it seems a bit tough right now. I can tell you that this is a Nick Cannon-only project, not as it was announced in a press release months ago. Mariah originally had written a sort of foreword but it may be dropped from the final layout. The book is for preorder, though. (Tuesday 26 August 2014; 14:04)

Mariah shading Kim (46,307) by Luis from Spain Do you guys remember when Mariah shaded Kim at the Jenny Craig event? Now it makes sense. It's true that Nick shouldn't have talked about such private thing. I mean, I would be angry as well. Mariah has never been exposing her love but for two men: Luis Miguel and Nick, so this means they are opposites in that sense. Said this, I think it's not very fair for him to sign a contract. Mariah has been dissing Mottola since 1998. What if she does the same with Nick? Not fair. One thing that I would like to point out is that Mariah is now more insecure than ever. Because of Nick? This divorce thing (46,305) by Luis from Spain There was something behind the curtains since February, well before Howard Stern. I was rewatching interviews from the "You're mine" era and she was already angry with Nick. Just remember on Valentine's Day how she posted images of herself while she was waiting for him. Maybe what they say about Nick being a workholic is true. Also, I think if they finally get a divorce it will be for the best of Mariah. She has always been serious about her career until she married him, just compare how different the E=MC2 and MOAIA eras are. While the first one started fine, the other was messy and lazy. She even worked herself out to recover her body. Maybe now we can get a real comeback. Said this, I think Mariah must be very angry about the way Nick announced the separation. She has not talked yet, so I think people is waiting for a statement. If they are mature enough they would go on a trial divorce and then send a press release stating that the divorce is done, just as Madonna and Guy did. I think this will be over while touring Asia.
