YDKWTD (45,206) by Dove from USA Just sharing my two cents for the video. I was watching Donna Summer behind the music and Hot Stuff came on - I think it was a live version. It made me think that YDKWTD needs to hit harder (drums) and the hand clapping noise needs to be taken out. I think a live band to play the song would be awesome. Her voice is strong and perfect she wouldn't need to re-sing it. For the video, I agree with the person that said 70s themed. The glittery mermaid dress would be totally appropriate in this case, maybe a gold one, but with a belt to cinch in her waist. The wild hair would even look good in a disco ball video. I'm seeing the video in this filter with the bright white light on her. Also, when I said it needs to hit harder, it may also be the base, not just the drums. (Thursday 3 July 2014; 19:33)

Butterfly drink (45,205) by Dove from USA I finally bought the Butterfly drink and it's so good. I don't like pink lemonade, so I wasn't expecting to like it, but like someone else mentioned, it tastes more like a liquified ring pop. Even my son loved it. I was looking all over for a Walgreen's and got really excited when I found it. My son asked, "What's the big deal anyway?" I said, "Mariah Carey is my favorite celebrity, ever since I was a little girl - kind of like how you look up to John Cena." So I bought two and bought him the drink he usually buys. He tasted mine and wanted to trade because he said it was so good. But he didn't want anyone to see him drink it from a girly bottle. The bottle is really pretty and girl. I'm going to buy more later. It's not expensive either, I think they were $2 each or two for $3. (Thursday 3 July 2014; 19:04)

Divorce (45,195) by Dove from USA I am so happy that Mariah is enjoying her babies. At first I was disappointed because the new album wasn't number 1, but the more I think about it, I don't care that much. She's already had lots of number 1s. She's won pretty much every award for music and broken many records. She should enjoy her family because that's the legacy that's most important. I am certain that she will always make music because she loves it. She's living the dream and I am so happy for her and proud of her. If the rumors are true that she and Nick are having problems, she could live in LA to support Nick in accomplishing his dream and the kids could have more space and swim in a real pool and see their dad. Counseling could help them. Whenever she feels inspired she can call people to write with her, improve her piano skills. Divorce makes me so sad. I wish I had not gotten divorced because it makes my son so sad. (Wednesday 2 July 2014; 21:51)

Re: what Gloria wrote (45,065) by Dove from USA Gloria, I think the fans on this site do accept her unconditionally. The reason I bring up her image is because it is certain that the general public does care. We want her to be the best she can be because more record sales mean more people hear her music and she makes more money. It's noble to think we work because we love what we do but most people work for something to do, to be creative, to achieve something, and for financial security, even rich folk. Otherwise, we would all just stay home and enjoy our kids and not work. If she's making incredible art and people don't buy it or appreciate it then she might stop making it, and I don't want that to ever happen. I want my great grandkids to know and love Mariah. If she doesn't want to tour then she could make a DVD concert, make it flawless, and sell it, but she needs to stay in the public eye to stay relevant. I think she does want to be as successful as she's always been. If she doesn't, and she's happy making art for herself and 58,000 most loyal fans, then she should tell us and we'll back off and just enjoy the music. Best songs (45,060) by Dove from USA I only know 7 artists from that list. I feel old but I'm only 31. I know Ariana Grande because the kids watch her show. Problem is a good song but definitely not number 1. I'm not trying to hate on her but it seems like they're marketing her to be like 1995 Mariah during the Daydream era. Her hair and sound, Bambi eyes, make up. I read some controversy about Christina Aguilera and Lady Gaga, that Lady Gaga was taking Christina's concepts and ideas and she stole Christina's fan base. When Christina's album came out everyone was saying she copied Lady Gaga. Christina had done it first but her album dropped after. It is true, Christina never sold like she used to again. I'm not into these artists but it's an interesting theory. It makes me think labels are cut throat and scares me that people will fall for anything. (Monday 23 June 2014; 15:22)

YDKWTD single cover controversy (45,058) by Dove from USA She does care, and could have chosen, but she probably trusted the label to choose a cover from the shoot. Maybe she did ask them to Photoshop the face looking forward and they did a shoddy job. She's a mom to young kids she wants to spend time with, she probably thought they couldn't mess it up. I don't care if they use Photoshop on pictures as long as it's done well. They Photoshop her to the point that she's almost unrecognizable. She's a beautiful woman, she doesn't need that much work done on her pics. I know we as fans are always hating on Tommy Motolla but during the time that he was in charge of her career everything was flawless and executed to magical perfection. The voice still sounds amazing on her CD's, and the songs are still good, but everything else is a mess. There are other passionate people out there, who will care, she needs to find them. Diva attitude (45,006) by Dove from USA Sometimes I like the diva attitude, I think its funny and cute. What I don't like is that she almost always looks a hot mess. She always wears those long mermaid dresses and they don't look good. She's apeoplee shaped, her hips are not wide enough and her waist is not small enough. Even in the 90s when she was underweight she had an aple shape. She should wear knee length dresses that show off her amazing calfs and shoes. Also, her boobs arent looking that great in real life so she would benefit from covering them up. I think tight dresses would look good because they would aaccentuate her figure. The most flattering haircut and color on her is the one she has in the Honey remix video. Unless she's wearing a gown, in that case away from her face on the sides but with sideswept bangs. The colors that look best with her currently tan skin are of the autumn palette. I think if she looked her best all the time and had a kind, sweet, and humble attitude like she did in the beginning, it would benefit her. Look how it's helped Britney Spears and Taylor Swift. JLo (45,001) by Dove from USA Can we stop talking about Jennifer Lopez? It's boring. Not to be a hater, and yeah, JLo seems like a nice person, but she is not a meteorite like Mariah. It could be (44,917) by Dove from USA A really good movie musical Iike Grease. She could partner with Disney/Pixar to make it a classic. I wish I could sing and brand myself. I'd pimp myself out and be really creative without caring what people thought. Mariah is in a good place because she is already rich and a living legend. She can be really creative and try just about anything at this point. I would love if she released an album of standards. Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Like what Gloria Estefan did, but Gloria doesn't have Mariah's silky smooth voice, so it didn't do it for me. I know she's a song writer and is insulted when we ask for other people's songs but it would be awesome if she did. I wish we were friends so we could talk and tell her our ideas. Movie (44,915) by Dove from USA I was listening to MIAM in the car and I had a great idea. I was watching reruns of Jem & the Holograms with my niece on Netflix last night. While listening to the album I was thinking it tells a story - what if they made a movie musical out of it? Either animated or with real people. I'm imagining it really colorful, like Jem. Then each song would have a music video. It's something adult fans could enjoy with their kids. When I watch Jem as an adult I see things that went over my head when I was a kid.
