Hopefully (74,481)

Hopefully with all the events that have taken place in Mariah's world in the last few years she can find inspiration to write some killer songs and work with some people that can help bring her musical inspiration to life. I can only hope that she looks to work with people of quality and not with people who are of popular status currently. I'm looking forward to this new album but I hope it is worth the wait. Btw the latest pictures of Mariah are hot tamale, her weight is coming down nicely and she looks healthy. On another note Dem Kids are adorable.

Mr Showbiz 411 has egg on his face because he just said Mariah and Epic were going to part ways as she was being dropped. Well will you look at God not only did she not get dropped she entered into her very own joint venture. Sounds to me like Roger is bitter with Mariah for some reason I believe that this is because she no longer works with his dear friend Cindi Berger.

Tanaka split up / new label pact (74,330)
by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
| |
|
|
The news of the Tanaka split is no surprise to me at all I just saw this as a brief moment and nothing more. Now onto the big news at hand a new album due this year now that came as a huge surprise. I just want this album to deliver on all fronts so that the media and general public can see that brilliance of Mariah Carey the artist. Something tells me LA and company are going to whip our girl into shape to make sure this album delivers. Now if we can get rid of Stella and company all will be right with the world.

Where's Mariah? (74,241)
by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
| |
|
|
With so much negative publicity surrounding Mariah I am glad that she is taking time away from the public hopefully she is taking time to reflect and recharge. I also hope that she is resurrecting herself and her team. Truth be told Stella and company have not been conducive to Mariah or her career. Mariah needs a team that is no nonsense and can show her that her greatness is diminishing with these unnecessary cheap stunts. I want MC to be true to herself but I also want her to respecting her craft and genius with the quality and greatness she is capable of.

Benny Medina (74,240)
by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)

|
Benny Medina was MC's manager for five years and it's not a secret that Benny is a diva to the max as well. While he did great things with MC there was a conflict of interest when he was back to managing Jlo. There is no way he was going to be able to manage them both at the same time. He is also the Godfather to Jlo's twins, so their relationship runs deeper than that of him and MC. Honestly for me as long as she has a competent team surrounding her, and she finds inspiration and focus again MC could find great levels of success again. Until that happens the results will be what they are right now. When have to stop blaming others and point the finger solely at MC because she puts her team together and around her.

Idol producers (74,128)
by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
| |
|
|
To be fair Mariah has made her unflattering comments about her days at Idols. But I really believe that the Idols producers have a motive here because just last week it was announced that they are planning to reboot the AI series and I really think that this is to drum up some sort of interest. Let face it I believe that the producers of Idol deceived Mariah to get her to become apart of the judging panel by telling her she would be apart of thre person panel and then went to Nicki to attract the younger audience and it backfired. So in all both parties are wrong. But I definitely feel all parties need to stop talking about season 12 of AI as it is done and over with.

Mariah and Remy (73,891)
by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
| |
|
|
As usual the media is making something out of nothing. The Remy vs Nicki feud is nothing more than who's the best rapper, it's nothing personal or that serious. Also Mariah and Remy actually have a mutual respect for each other and are fans of one another's music. The Ante Up remix is one of Mariah's favorite songs ever and she loves Remy's verse on that record, she has said this on different occasions. Also Remy said how she is has been a fan of Mariah's as well she has even said how Mariah's Christmas music puts her in the holiday spirit among other compliments. So all in all it's nothing to see here folks.

Remixes (73,889)
by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
| |
|
|
The rules with remixes and releases are different nowadays than years past. If you change the vocals and sound too much it's now considered an entirely new song. So maybe this is the reason for uninspiring, lazy remixes today. Though it's disappointing because I have became so spoiled with the sheer brilliance of an MC remix. I just wish MC would put the effort into her craft like she did early on in her career. On another note I would not mind another MC/Remy Ma collaboration but on something fresh and better thought out.

Wasted songs (73,739)
by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
| |
|
|
With a extremely vast catalog of songs in her catalog there are some songs that Mariah wasted major opportunities. Here are some that come to mind. "You don't know what to do" (MIAM). "Migrate" was definitely a moment (E=MC2). "Faded" a fan favorite (MIAM). "Underneath the stars" (Daydream). "Standing O" (MOAIA). "Cruise control" (E=MC2).

Hard to believe that this album is turning 20 years old. If I listen to this album right now it still sounds fresh and could fit on radio currently just goes to show us that our girl is truly one of kind. On another note I would not mind Mariah and The Trackmasters working together along with Dave Jam Hall.

Celine vs Mariah (73,699)
by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
| |
|
|
This Mariah vs. Celine should be null and void because both women are great in their own right. Both are apart of an era that can never be recaptured. But when I put both of their catalogs up against one another I would have to give the edge to Mariah and by a wide margin simply because Mariah's catalog has a variety of moods, emotions, and colors, whereas Celine's catalog is very bage and bland. Also while Celine is an amazing vocalist her voice does not move much as Mariah's voice does. I say all that to say Celine is cool in my book but there is only one Mariah.

Dude what was your point of coming to a Mariah Carey message board? Did she piss in your oatmeal or something? Because everything you post regarding Mariah is negative and your assumptions which you are making an ass out of yourself. If Mariah bothers you that much find an artist that you enjoy and stalk their message board. We don't need any more goats coming here to spread their unhappy, unhealthy, negative energy.

No albums (73,377)
by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)

I think Mariah has lost her confidence and knows that right now the odds are against her on so many levels. To be honest Mariah has to blame herself for some of her missteps recently. Honestly people still love good music it is up to Mariah to provide the product. I need for MC to get out of her own head and find inspiration other than just the clubs and any rent a rapper that will hop on a track with her. Mariah is an artist that is a multitude of genres and a wide fan base that needs their fix. I would not mind an upbeat affair, and a splash of strong ballads. I just want that confident, sexy woman back who is not trying too hard.

Latest selfie (73,360)

Bravo I really appreciate the less is more approach her. Hopefully we get more natural beauty moments versus the over the top diva moments. The caption in the selfie was a Tyler Perry reference from his Madea character. Which leads to me to believe MC posted this one.

What should M do next? (73,149)
by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
| |
|
|
Personally I think M should retreat away from the spotlight focus on herself and her children. Also she needs to really consider restructuring her business ties as far as management, image etc. Lastly she should really focus on rediscovering her love for her craft and find some real inspiration. Also training her voice with proper technique again would be a great idea.

First things first hopefully all the members of the Archives family are in the best of health and spirits. Now onto the meat and potatoes of my post while I myself must admit some of Mariah's choices as of late are a bit much. I must also remember that she is human just like the rest of us, which means she is going to experience peaks and pitfalls like we all do. Also I find that some of us here find any little thing to complain about Mariah related just for the hell of it. Yes her voice has changed, yes sometimes she dresses too sexy but she has been doing this for two decades now the shock should have worn off about a decade ago. Lastly yes Mariah should take time for herself and her family but God forbid she does then people will find fault in that. At this point even though we as her extended family know that she is capable of doing better I think we have to let her make that decision and just pray that things come full circle for the better soon.

Honesty vs. politically correct (72,901)
by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
| |
|
|
Obviously do you guys think that Mariah actually cares about what others think about her comments nowadays on various topics? I highly doubt she does. Honestly speaking she been around almost three decades and has seen the change in politics in the entertainment industry. As I expressed before if she cannot garner respect in her prime I doubt she gives a damn about what her peers and different power players have to say about her in her anti years. Honestly I would rather her be honest about her feelings than give a made up politically correct answer to satisfy the masses that can give a damn about her.

Grammys comment (72,872)
by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
| |
|
|
While most might her comments come from a bitter place I would have to disagree because everyone remembers that moment and how they kept flashing the camera on her to see her reaction on her face. At that time she was at the top of her game in every way possible. Ten years later in 06 the same thing though she won in three categories none were televised but as years have passed these categories are now televised and she should not feel anyway always remember some wounds never heal, and to have your hard work dissed by your peers is not a good look. Just my thoughts.

Jimmy Kimmel (72,773)

Mariah finally gave the masses what they have been asking for, what seems like forever and I have to say I enjoyed the performances. While you can tell our girl played it safe in some areas I am just grateful that she was able to deliver a performance without the bells and whistles of play back and the background singers doing most of the work. Now that she has proven she can still handle her business it is time for Mariah to get back to training her voice and crafting material that is meaningful and she can handle live.

Grammys (72,677)
by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
| |
|
|
I see that the Grammys have been a hot topic here since yesterday while MC could have attended the show why would she? She was not asked to participate in any tributes or present anything so I didn't see the point. On another note the Grammys have never really respected MC even during her peak and with her on the outside looking in at the popular crowd nowadays I didn't see her purpose being there. Was it a missed opportunity? Not really because award shows like these are all about politics.

Morgan (72,353)
by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
| |
|
|
People wake up, this dude is bitter because his sister has made her dreams come true and she chooses not to fund his nonsense so all he does is sell stories to tabloids about his sister for his own personal gain. Talk about a lame excuse for a human being. Mariah is no saint but she has been there for both Morgan and Allison and they have both shown how ungrateful they are. So anything he has to say at this point is coming from an angry bitter place. He just be careful because his actions will only allow him not to prosper. Cues wish you well.

Morgan Carey (72,308)
by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
| |
|
|
This guy just does not quit with his antics, every chance he gets he is out here selling stories at his sister's expense. Talk about pathetic and sad. I honestly believe that he does this for the hope he gets Mariah's attention and as usual she pays him dust. I am starting to think that he is the one with the issues because he claims to care so much yet he drags his sister at every turn. With siblings like Morgan who needs enemies?

Showbiz 411 (72,236)
by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)

Roger is extremely loyal to Cindi Berger and always has been so now that she and MC no longer have a working relationship everything time he mentions MC nowadays it is to say something negative while I know he is entitled to his opinion this more so about showing his alliance to Cindi honestly the Cindi/Mariah relationship had become stale as well and it was time to move on. This is by no means me singing Stella's praises either.
