Re: Jazz album (76,821) (76,834) by Terna from Nigeria
Thank you Hasenan, you get what I'm trying to say. Jazz is for has retired beens with ugly rough voices, her voice is too pretty and distinctive for Jazz. I'd prefer Gospel or Neo-Soul.

Re: Jazz album (76,807) (76,812) by Terna from Nigeria
Now you're talking. A Gospel album would be so much more welcoming and more true to who she is at her core. I feel it's about damn time she made one. Mariah could easily (all caps) write the next Gospel classic staple every gospel artist would be dying to cover (who knows her signature song maybe). She has with inspirational songs ("Make it Happen", "Through the Rain", "Hero") so why not Gospel?

Re: Jazz album (76,805) (76,811) by Terna from Nigeria
47 is old? Um ok, your opinion though. Plus she looks years younger than that 47. Old would be 70+ not 47.

Re: Adele canceling tour (76,801) (76,803) by Terna from Nigeria
I just read that news article. And I thought of Mariah and how she used her voice extensively for a whole decade plus - and somehow it didn't falter nor fail her whilst having nodules and still continues to give even today if well prepared. Mariah is a singer of many gifts. And stamina comes to mind as one of the gifts as I read this article. And considering the fact that all her songs are difficult to sing. It's mind boggling. How does she do it? She must know her voice well.

No. When she's 80+ maybe. I hate Jazz, that's for old people.

Eduoard, your positive attitude and optimism makes me smile and kinda reminds me of Mariah. It's ones like you I believe are real people first of all, and true lambs. You stand out easily on here and are a breath of fresh air. Don't change. Lots of love.

Re: Can we all celebrate the fact (76,701) (76,717) by Terna from Nigeria
I know right? She dodged a bullet with that breakup. I didn't even like that guy, he kinda bugged me. Take note even Brett cut ties with him. . Lol you gotta love Mariah. She's smart that cannot be denied.

I love this thanks Edouard. It was filmed I guess during the "Rainbow" era and probably from the Home Coming special. I love this arrangement.

Re: So much shade, but no substance (76,563) (76,580) by Terna from Nigeria
I couldn't have said it better. I'm glad most of us fans don't just take one side of the story and run with it. By now as a Mariah Carey fan, one should know stories are made up and comments blown way outta proportion when it involves Mariah. They want her to fail and fall so bad. Smh, sorry sore losers. Lol.

Re: Feuds? (76,383) (76,394) by Terna from Nigeria
Oh I love "Clown". One of Charmbracelet's strong highlights. But it wasn't damaging enough because he still kept running his mouth. Until the real "pow" in form of Obsessed. Haha.

Re: Feuds? (76,381) (76,393) by Terna from Nigeria
The Warning didn't end nothing please. That was poor pissed Eminem spitting fire after that girl Mariah had destroyed him permanently. I'd say he met his match and then some with Mariah. Hehe Bedides. No one heard "The Warning", it was a cowardly underground release nobody checked for only his waning handful of stans (*witchy Wendy cackle*). Meanwhile you couldn't escapse "Obsessed" and had to have been living under a rock not to have heard that song. Haha.

Re: Feuds? (76,370) (76,376) by Terna from Nigeria
B. Mariah vs. Eminem. Sometimes you gotta put that troll in its place, and she sure ended his existence with the most scathing diss song ever, he didn't see that one coming. Lol. And I loved every minute of it, And loved her even more. Plus did I mention it was a worldwide hit? Lol.

Re: Skydiving (76,339) (76,358) by Terna from Nigeria
And that's just your own opinion. I still stick by my original post that "Skydiving" is Mariah at her story telling best. You have to read between the lines on that song. Its story isn't direct like say "Betcha gon know" or "The Roof" from Butterfly. And mind you the version we've heard of "Skydiving" is a very rough one take, almost demo-like. There easily could've been a bridge and a third verse.

Re: Who would you pick (76,309) (76,331) by Terna from Nigeria
Maybe Enya or Lisa Gerrard.

Re: Skydiving (76,314) (76,330) by Terna from Nigeria
That's my favorite "Memoirs " song easily. And it didn't even make the cut. Lol. Mariah Carey at her story telling best (all caps) and the fact that it seems longer than it actually is. There's a lot of emotions on that song. But the sadness and longing when she wails in the background gets me everytime.

Re: Mariah can walk by herself (76,157) (76,170) by Terna from Nigeria
Or maybe it's just who she is, ever stopped to think about that too? The tip-toe thing I know for sure isn't an act because I too do it, ever since I was a kid, and I've met others who do it too. I guess I would call it a personality trait or something, To me I would say it just feels irritating to walk fully barefoot without foot wear on, like it really bugs me. She just calls it invincible heels. Lol. And I do it most times unconciously. I also can't stand pictures of space and planets (freaks me out), large bodies of water, icebergs and heights. Strange yeah I know. Hehe.

Re: Melt Away on Waiting to Exhale? (76,139) (76,169) by Terna from Nigeria
I don't think it would've fit on that soundtrack at all, it's more pop sounding (Pop/R&B) than R&B and that's a Soul/R&B record through and through. And I'm kinda glad it wasn't. "Melt Away" is one of Daydream's best cuts. And a Mariah classic.

Camilla Cabello (76,165) by Terna from Nigeria
With a lyric video visual like this, I don't think this song needs a video. Hastag deep.

That's strange, because I would say same bout you too. So it's cool we agree on miss Tebaldi. I fell in love with her voice the moment I heard her sing "Un bel di vedremo" she is Madame Butterfly.

Re: I'll do it for money, honey (75,920) (75,949) by Terna from Nigeria
I feel like like she's uninspired, make no mistake Mariah is still a hit machine. But it's not all about only the music anymore. Becoming a mother changed her, it's a greater love. Whitney said it to her on Oprah way back. Even Chaka Khan too went something along the lines of "it's gonna change her" I believe. Apparently they were right. She's just not as driven anymore, nor as eager as in her youth, and justifiably so look how much she's achieved, she's done it all (all caps). Mariah is music royalty, do you guys even realize that?
