About ktktkt from Philippines: hi mc fan here

Lee TS (51,354) by ktktkt from Philippines
I can't believe they fared better than me. I was born in 86 and definitely a 90's kid. What I only got right was the first song and of course Mariah Carey, though some songs are familiar. Lol I will for sure to get 100% if there's a quiz bee about Mariah songs.

Mariah Carey live vocal range (48,776) by ktktkt from Philippines

Eb5's and E5's have always been her sweetspot. They're not necessarily very high but she sounded beautiful on them. Yay.

TS, MC "Hero" December 22 at Beacon (48,759) by ktktkt from Philippines
I was totally blown away esp at 1:26, kinda sounds "Daydreamish". It's so beautiful. And it's not even the hardest note. Proof that you really don't need to belt your lungs out just to sound beautiful. I want to hear more of that kind of melismas (not sure if I'm using the term right lol) but yeah it's one of the her best in recent times.

Baby (from Sweden) - MC eras (48,729) by ktktkt from Philippines
I love all her eras because they all have unique "flavors". It seems that though we know how discernible her tone is, it's different year after year. In my previous post, I'm referring to her "Daydream era" as her golden years when it comes to live singing. She was fearless and her live performances for me have eclipsed most of her recorded versions. (e.g. Hero, Underneath The Stars, Make It Happen, I'll Be tThere, I Don't Wanna Cry etc). But for the studio albums, here's my list. (I don't really pay attention to the creativity party, I'm more focused on the vocals/melody of the songs.)
1. Daydream - Perfect and so surreal.
1. Charmbracelet (tie with Daydream) - Who doesn't love this subtle invitation vocals? I love her whispery voice, I think that's not easy to do let alone sounding good with it. That's the first album I bought before actually following her.
2. Butterfly - I love het from the outside, the melody the message and her vocals. She's a stunner in that era.
3. Glitter - Amazing vocals, too bad it was underrated.
3. Merry Christmas (tie with Gitter) - This is a phenomenal Christmas record that I'm proud raising the volume too loud so everyone could hear how great MC is.

I wish that they would collaborate someday lol.

Present Mariah (48,710) by ktktkt from Philippines
She's slowly getting her confidence back in her voice. It might not be as resonant as it was in her prime but her tone is still the same. I had let go of the thought about her sounding as good as in the Daydream era because only a miracle could make that happen. I'm contented if she could sound as good as Charmbracelet (live). Some would hate about MC doing mediocre performances but let's all be thankful that she didn't go the Whitney route. Give her a break and don't stress urselves too much because the "prime" MC will no longer get back. Appreciate while she's still alive.

Don't feed the trolls/haters (48,679) by ktktkt from Philippines
Let's just enjoy this holiday without wasting our time to haters. They are "haters" for a reason and there's no way that we can sway them. What we can all do is to ignore them (e.g. don't respond, don't make post for them, don't mention their names, because we all know who they are and they will lurk and lurk since they can't get MCs out of their airheads). We should all spread love and support to our dear MC. If I am a hater of someone, I don't need to "religiously" go to her forum and spread my hatred, that's just so pathetic as I spend most of my time finding glitch to the person I hate so much. It's just doesn't make sense to me. Funny that they are not getting "tired", they must be getting energized bashing MC. The answer is to treat them as if they don't exist. (I'm just going to post it once since they will think that I care to much for them lol. I'm writing to fellow lambies to not entertain these trolls because they don't deserve our attention.) Looking forward to her Beacon performances, I'm positive that MC will slaythose haters again in the Nth time.

MC full Monaco concert (unofficial) (47,498) by ktktkt from Philippines

She sounded superb here IMO. kinda sounds 96-ish on some belts, but I don't get why it's not officially recorded.

Mandy Monroe, more lambs (47,497) by ktktkt from Philippines
You won't believe it, it's not only Kyla but almost all female singers (and some males) in the Philippines are Mariah-influenced. Lol, watch these two girls.
10:15 - favorite international singer Mariah
10:35 - she follows MC in tweeter but too shy to tweet her
10:40 - particular song that they are 'scared' to sing
15:12 - two girls saying that Mariah's "Emotions" is the most difficult song for them because of the high belting and whistles
15:44 - Jonalyn sings Emotions (chorus) no whistle though
19:58 - Jonalyn sings Through the rain
27:46 - Katrina sings never too far while jumping rope
28:44 - Jonalyn singing never too far while on a hoola hoop
katrina can exactly copy Beyonce's runs but she can hardly copy Mariah's. Lol. Mariah's voice totally unique and cannot be duplicated.

Mandy Monroe - Kyla (miss you most at Christimas) (47,486) by ktktkt from Philippines
Yes, she's a certified lamb, she's an rnb singer from my country (Philippines). When MC had her Charmbracelet tour in Manila (2003), she was in the audience jumping like a little child. Lol. Just sharing, I should've added it in my previous post. She really loves MC. I bet she's all over YouTube watching MC's take on her live Joy to the world at her prime.

Vocal coach (47,191) by ktktkt from Philippines
This may sound really stupid but can a vocal coach bring some of her voice back? I've seen posts on YouTube saying about that. But IMO, she doesn't really need a vocal coach since she always has that impeccable technique and she's vocally gifted ever since she started. I'm not sure if it's her drinking alcohol or whatever that dries her throat up causing her to lose her fluidity when singing or probably aging. But it happened not so "gracefully" especially from her vocal peak (1996) then right after that the very obvious tired sound in 1998. How I wish something magical would happen again and bring her 1994-1996 voice back because she was fearless that era in recording and in live performances. But I have to say aside from the "voice" I'm happy that her face is aging gracefully and she looks exactly the same more than 10 years ago.
