About NHYTG from nyc:

Nick pathetic (51,360) by NHYTG from nyc
I think a man who wants big money from his ex-wife after a divorce is pathetic, so that's how I feel about this loser. He got a career thanks to being Mister Carey, he should be thankful. At least the world will know what his "love" for Mariah was all about, the good life and big money. Sad guy, I think in a few years we will read that his children haven't seen him in years. I hope one day he will be ashamed of himself, maybe one of his children will once tell him he should be.

Mariah's weight (51,319) by NHYTG from nyc
I don't care about Mariah's weight al all, I'm more interested in the upcoming album and the Vegas shows. After all we are talking about a singer here, not some fashion model. I think she looks like a healthy woman in her fourties should look like. I hope there will be some news soon, the weight subject is so annoying.

Birthday gift (51,186) by NHYTG from nyc
Nice birthday gift: the video with James Corden is boosting
iTunes sales in the UK (Greatest Hits at 32 and #1's at 51),
Ireland (Greatest Hits at 67) and Australia (Greatest Hits at 35).

Uptown Funk (51,140) by NHYTG from nyc
It has become a bit less sure that Uptown Funk will tie or break One Sweet Day's 16 weeks since Rihanna has dropped her new single today.

Third Christmas album (51,048) by NHYTG from nyc
I don't think the release of another Christmas album is a good idea, but if Mariah and Epic would decide to release one I will support it anyway. On the other hand I think they are busy with Vegas and the new #1's so I think this is a false rumour anyway.

Negativity (50,952) by NHYTG from nyc
Carol, you are so right. If you like an artist, be a fan, if you don't like the artist anymore, for whatever reason, stop being a fan and move on with your life. There must be a singer that will fulfill your needs better than Mariah does, there are plenty of them to choose from. Mariah is Mariah, has always been Mariah and will always be Mariah, what you get is what you see. Some so called fans act like spoilt children these days.

Dennis (50,884) by NHYTG from nyc
You're so right about Madonna, I like some of her music and I respect her achievements but I also think she's too desperate trying to be relevant. And as much as people want Mariah to work with today's hot producers and singers, I admire her for staying close to her own self. I don't think Mariah will ever change her musical ways just to be relevant and I applaud that. I guess that's why I always think of Mariah as a real singer and of Madonna as an artist.

Back to Sony (50,824) by NHYTG from nyc
I hope Mariah's return to Sony will mark the end of a messy era, looking back it's clear that Mariah and Universal haven't been a great combination for whatever reason. After all Mariah has had only one huge successalbum with Universal. I hope rejoining Sony will bring back (some of) the grandeur of 1990-1999. She deserves to get back her relevancy, people's respect and recognition of her talents as a singer and songwriter.

Mariah's happiness (50,599) by NHYTG from nyc
Good to see Mariah looks so happy. Whatever may have happened the last year and whatever may happen this year, to me it's most important that she's happy and it looks like she is.

#1's (50,090) by NHYTG from nyc
I agree the new #1's containing those 18 #1 songs and just one new track is good enough for now. That's should be a nice album for celebrating this 25th anniversary. And I would like this new track being produced by Timbaland, I know they have been in the studio together, I want to hear at least one song they have created.

Shelly (49,790) by NHYTG from nyc
Shelly, I don't think your comments have anything to do with being too sensitive. I just think you're a positive person and with all these tons of negativity on the internet (not especially on Mariah but in general) I enjoy the positive exceptions. I have liked your posts for a longer time already so keep on posting your thoughts on Mariah the way you want to.

Las Vegas fear (49,715) by NHYTG from nyc
I'm beginning to feel some fear about these Las Vegas shows, things are about to get even worse than the Glitter era. Bad news everywhere, fanbase rapidly decreasing. I hope everything will work out well in Las Vegas, as it was mentioned before, Mariah getting fired from these shows would be the ultimate humiliation. I choose to stay positive but I'm not blind for what is going on. I wonder if Mariah herself has any idea what's going on, or if her team keeps her away from today's reality?

The first Vegas show (49,571) by NHYTG from nyc
I think the first Las Vegas show will be watched very closely by lovers, haters and press. Mariah better put on a perfect premiere, if she messes that one up for whatever reason her Vegas adventure will be done and dusted. In that case she can also forget a successful comeback with the reissued #1's. I think there will be a huge pressure to make Las Vegas work, I hope Mariah will wow everybody with a killer show, if she ruins it she better leave the spotlights for years. But, whatever may happen I will continue to love and support her, to me a few messy years can't wipe away a great career of 25 years. You go girl, make it happen.

Artists lipping (49,544) by NHYTG from nyc
Just out of curiosity I googled some singers and there have been these stories about lipsyncing about most female singers, from Celine to Beyonce and from Katy to Rihanna not to forget Britney. They all lipsync every now and then and sometimes they make mistakes. So it's not much of a big deal to me. Personally I'm more irritated by this desperate need to show those boobs, I think it's time to let go of that and cover them up. I think for the Vegas shows it would be a nice surprise to see her dressed up more classy. I don't think that will happen though.

Don't play that song (49,401) by NHYTG from nyc
I just listened to Don't Play That Song, I don't understand why it wasn't a part of the first album. It's great, I would have liked to hear Mariah a bit raw like that more often.

Mariah on tv-show (49,371) by NHYTG from nyc
Tonight Mariah's Las Vegas shows were an item on a Dutch entertainment show called RTL Boulevard. Unfortunately the host was kind of disrespectful about Mariah. Again it was clear how many people here in the Netherlands look at Mariah these days.

No single (49,293) by NHYTG from nyc
I think the new version of #1's should be promoted as a whole, even if it includes new music. I don't think it's a good idea to release a single first, another underperforming single will be a terrible start for this new era. I like the idea of releasing #1's Live in Las Vegas, I hope #1's will be successful enough to be followed up by a live-album/dvd.

Luis (49,200) by NHYTG from nyc
I know that Universal owns three of these #1's but since 15 are owned bij Sony as well as the original #1's concept. I have a strong feeling this album will be a Sony release with "kind permission" of Universal to publish those three. But anyway, just my thoughts. More important I hope promotion will be huge including tv and radio adds. I can't wait.

#1's (49,195) by NHYTG from nyc
I like the idea of an updated version of #1's, the picture on Facebook gives me the idea this might happen, all 18 #1's with All I Want For Christmas Is You as a bonus track. No new tracks needed for now, just concentrate on this legacy. Time will come for new music once the Vegas concerts are over and credibility will be regained. As far as I know Mariah is without a record company now so she can go ahead with Sony for this project. For the Vegas concerts I hope she will blow everyone away, prove that her voice is far from gone, sounding as great as she looks now. And does she look good.

Greatest Hits (48,977) by NHYTG from nyc
If another Greatest Hits would be released it should include 2003-2014. Personally I would't mind The Singles 2003-2014 including tracks like Almost Home, 100%, Right To Dream and Bring It On Home. On the other hand I can already see the haters call such an album The Flops 2003-2014 and unfortunately enough there's more than a little truth in that. I will wait and see what is going to happen in 2015, I hope this anniversary will bring us fans some great things.

Mariah live at Rockefeller Center (48,204) by NHYTG from nyc
I don't think this perormance was her best but it wasn't that bad either, I enjoyed it. These days it's o so easy to diss Mariah for everything she does wrong in so many people's opinion. At least she had the guts to sing live. I wonder what Katy Perry, Rihanna or Taylor Swift would have sounded like doing such a difficult song live in these circumstances. I don't think they would have done it much better. It looks like the audience has had a good time, better than those behind their computers.

virgo. miss thanks for posting this review, I wish it would go around the world just as the Tokyo videos did but I don't think that will happen. Concerning Mariah publishing bad news seems to be more interesting than any good news, always has been like that, always will be. At least Mariah has proven us, her fans, that the voice is still there, I'm gratefull for that. And about Mariah following trends? I hope she will stay true to herself and will not get lost in a desperate hunt for chart-success. She has nothing to prove anymore and I wouldn't mind her having a career on a lower level from now on. To me it's most important that she feels happy in whatever she does and whatever music she makes. After Don't Explain and Lullaby I would't mind more jazzy songs or even a jazz album but MIAMTEC part 2 would be great to, we'll have to wait and see.
