Re: E=MC2 era (92,162) (92,164) by We are Lambily from USA
Tommy was great for her career, because he was the head of one of the most successful/iconic labels. What an artist truly needs is money and resources to succeed. Mariah had that, he gave her what she wanted. A chance to be heard and seen. This was her dream basically her whole life. One would call her a genius just for that. People are over 30 and still don’t have any real goals in life. Goals plus opportunity’s [sic] plus hard work is success. Mariah had that too. And she achieved every single one of her dreams. Such a inspiring sweet human being.

Mariah (92,161) by We are Lambily from USA
Mariah outsold Eminem, nobody cares about his inflated sales that are non existing. Most sites says he sold over 170 million. Some even say 100 million since most of his sales can't even be found. Also most of them are streams or whatever. Same thing with Rihanna, she is in top 5 of best selling artists of all time. Let's not forget Mariah sold 1.6 billion units in Asia, those numbers aren't included in her counting, most of her albums haven't been certified since their releases. This year will be the year where Mariah certificate her own stuff.

There is no point in tryna convince someone like Andrew, America proves that best. Depending on wheter [sic] you watch CNN or Fox News, you have two different mindsets. Sexism is proven in every male dominated work field. And the fact that he tried to dismiss the pay gap is laughable.

Mariah has nothing left to prove and the fact that she is more successful than every male artist is enough for me. Queen of music and Michael Jackson is the king.

Re: Article: Carey struggling to sell tickets in Las Vegas (92,127) (92,136) by We are Lambily from USA
I honestly want her to focus on other ventures but she will sell a lot more tickets as we get closer to the date. Work on that album, Mariah needs documentary’s [sic]. The new generation has to know Mariah in order for them to love Mariah and the older generation gotta fall back in love with her. Her image has gotten better but we need more. Her team gotta book her on networks she has never been on. I’m done with the same media routine. I’m hopeful for the future but miss Melissa gotta work harder than ever before.

Re: New album (92,125) (92,126) by We are Lambily from USA
Caution's streaming and Caution's radio plays are unfortunately not on par. It's been streamed almost over 400 million times yet I hardly heard it on the stations. It's one of the reasons r&b has died a bit, the pop stations don't play those records anymore. They are left to ac and urban stations. Which is okay, but music wasn't this restricted back in the days, the big labels pay a lot of money to get there artists played, look at Lizzo.

With the right team willing to spend you can have your old songs become a hit. People are simple, they can hear a song too many times and they will love it. How many of us have hated a song we heard on the radio and after a while you love it?

Re: New album (92,108) (92,114) by We are Lambily from USA
My point still stands, Mariah is a [sic] artist unlike Barbra. She actually writes and produces her own stuff (like Barbra does). Barbra is legendary but she ain’t close to Mariah. She has a impressive movie career, but I honestly haven’t watched one of her movies. Mariah Carey is the greatest female artist and that’s all I care about.

Re: New album (92,103) (92,106) by We are Lambily from USA
Her voice has gotten stronger since recording, sister has been practicing. And it will only get stronger. Mariah unlike Barbara [sic] is a [sic] artist. This new album will crush vocally. Mariah's voice unlike Barbara's [sic] is special. If the air ain't right, if she don't [sic] sleep enough, if she drinks then it's gonna sound harsh. Mariah during her pregnancy is to me top 3 vocal eras, I liked her voice there even more than the debut era. 2013 was a great era too, the Sydney tour stays underrated.

Re: Mariah Carey (92,100) (92,101) by We are Lambily from USA
Her recent chart success is due to a 90s song, the song is bigger now then what it was when Mariah released it. Mariah has had success in various areas of her career, sis is still winning.

Mariah still sings with her 5 octave range, people who actually go to her shows are singing a different tune. She is still one of the greatest singers alive. Hector did you wake up at the wrong side of the bed?

Re: New album (92,087) (92,093) by We are Lambily from USA
Radio industry has changed a lot since the 90s, I think you [sic] talking about. Beyoncé is popular with every demographic, yet they hardly play her new music. Mariah's latest releases was limited to ac and urban stations. Let's also talk about the way veterans in the industry gets treated. Let's not talk about the sexism thing, it goes deep and I can write a whole essay about it. Mariah is more successful and more iconic than every male artist (aside from the king of music) throughout the history and hasn't achieved 50% of their acclaim.

It was the best selling single last week worldwide after selling more than 439.000 units.

Pandora (92,074) by We are Lambily from USA
Mariah has now surpassed 5.2 billion lifetime streams on Pandora music. Ugh someone needs to count all of her streaming numbers, her music speaks for everybody. People need to just hear it.

Re: New album (92,068) (92,071) by We are Lambily from USA
It’s not about jumping on a bandwagon, it’s about working with artists that radio actually plays. Unfortunately they are ageist. She has done it 19 times on her own terms. We want duets with big names, we want defeated. This is a huge opportunity to snatch one more record. Our queen has enough of those, but many of them can be broken. I don’t care about charts normally but thanks to AIWFCIY now we need more #1s

New album (92,063) by We are Lambily from USA
Let's hope Mariah is really smart about this. She is gonna deliver a great album, she has never disappointed me before. But I really want her to beat the Beatles, I pray to God she calls some major names. I really want Mariah to do a features album. Drake asked her for the sample, ask him for a feature and make a fun song. A ballad with Ariana would be explosive. Call Beyonce and write that powerful women empowerment song. A throwback 90s song with Bruno Mars. But if nothing happens and we end up with offset, I'm good.

Re: New #1s album art (92,058) (92,060) by We are Lambily from USA
Honestly I hope they wait until 2025 until they give us a new #1s album, nobody wants that now. Strategically it’s not even smart, Mariah is hot now. Her catalogue is getting played on the radio, she is the most streamed artist who debuted in 1990 who is alive and she is still selling. We want a new album, and better radio deals. #Beautiful had an amazing radio deal.

Re: Another level of legend (92,050) (92,053) by We are Lambily from USA
Musti, it's been a great year.
Successful Vegas shows.
Successful world tour, 22 sold out venues, grossed 20 millions.
Amazing performance for 70.000 people, people said she was the highlight, everyone waited for her, Canada festival with almost the same amount of people.
Icon Award.
One of the best selling r&b albums, with over 400 millions streams.
Top female artist.
The millions records AIWFCIY broke is amazing as well, Mariah is too damn legendary

Mariah has been making money this year, and repairing her image, she has gained like 3+ million followers since Stella left her on Instagram alone. Her social media game is recognised by my generation Z (or whatever we are called) as the best celebrity on social media.

Mariah (92,052) by We are Lambily from USA
If Mariah was a man she would've been so celebrated by now, 2020 better be the year where we acknowledge her and award her with more legendary awards. Women in music better have her in their lineup next year.

Re: Signature song (92,036) (92,038) by We are Lambily from USA
Bill, I hope you had fun writing that, I know I had fun not reading it. I'm gonna celebrate Mariah with caution. My first comment stands strong and your second comment made no sense. You tried to act as if AIWFCIY has kept Mariah from irrelevance.

Re: Signature song (92,030) (92,032) by We are Lambily from USA
Bill, you are all over the place. Whether or not AWFCIY existed or not, those accomplishments I mentioned are in fact still there. Mariah has never been irrelevant and will never be. Literally no artist has accomplished what she has. Are you sure she is not 20? Because 50 has never looked better.

I don't get the whole putting out records at 80, so I'm just go ahead and play some MIAM, ugh underrated album.

Re: Signature song (92,028) (92,029) by We are Lambily from USA
Second half of her career? The shade. She gave us 2 #1s. Another classic Christmas album, a worldwide anthem Obsessed, song of the summer, #Beautiful. Also 4 great albums, and many more magical moments. The second half of her career made a lot of us lambs. You guys can uplift whatever you want without tearing up something just because you may not like it. AIWFCIY is the icing on a beautiful cake.

Re: Signature song (92,017) (92,024) by We are Lambily from USA
What this board just proved Mariah doesn't have a signature song. Every generation have their song and it's fine. Gosh her power. One of the few legends that can say that, lots of teenagers know WBT, speaking mostly for the urban community and the twitter community. WBT is beloved by everyone who hears it who isn't biased towards Mariah or with shitty taste. It's gone viral on twitter more times than I count with millions of views, thousands of retweet's.

Re: Signature song (92,017) (92,021) by We are Lambily from USA
I remember when I showed a friend like 20 Mariah songs, he really got into ABMB, I become so mad, this was 1-2 years after I became a lamb. I showed him like 5 more songs but he still liked it the most. I thought for the longest that the song was too simple, too boring basically. Damn was I wrong, the friend started playing it every time we hung out. It made me fall in love with it, some Mariah songs did not age well, especially the catalogue from the 90s. Some of that music doesn’t do anything for me, you can really feel a artist being held captive. The vocals are great, the lyrics are greater but you can hear the soul being disconnected. But boy did that one age well.

Re: Signature song (91,999) (92,000) by We are Lambily from USA
The song I was talking about was WBT (the people has [sic] to know). Not many songs give me the same feeling every time I listen to it. I'm sorry for using urban slang. I don't really worry about my grammar on the internet, I write things and post it without double checking. But I'm gonna follow the rules. I have to bring a [sic] old tweet from Mariah (just for laughs).

Re: Signature song (91,996) (91,999) by We are Lambily from USA
AIWFCIY is a special song but let's keep it for the Christmas (even though I listen to it during the summer sometimes lol).

Every generation has a Mariah signature song, for mine it's, that song slaps so hard, ugh it's my favorite song ever (aside from Mariah's own music). Everyone I know who have heard the song loves it. And it's remix is explosive. I love the remade verses, the rap verses, the high notes at the end. Her remixes are one of her best. I'm so mad changed the rules so people don't remake their songs anymore in the way people used to back in the days, remixes don't do what they used to do.

Btw it was the Madison Square Garden performances, ugh she slayed so hard. Every time life knocks Mariah down, she gets up 10 times harder. The resilience this women has, I'm so inspired to never give up in life, everyone has bad days, hers is just magnified due to the global superstar she is.
