About Musti from UK:

Re: Ariana Grande (91,916) (91,923) by Musti from UK
This video is the sweetest tribute ever. I'm a little teary-eyed if I'm honest. This is respect, this is appreciation. Special kudos to Ariana for not giving up on Mariah even when Mariah was understandably not so kind to her when she first arrived on the scene. Our girl is back in everyone's good graces. Is it me or did Ariana get more screen time than everyone else in the video? It really wouldn't be a stretch to expect a collab at this point.

Re: Giving credit to Tommy and Walter (91,830) (91,864) by Musti from UK
I agree with certain parts of this but you're forgetting the fact that we only know about the background story to Merry Christmas and Hero solely because Mariah mentioned them. She has paid her respects numerous times and continues to do so. Don't expect her to send them flowers every year or to do gratitude posts on IG because neither of those projects (or any other thing she did with Tommy or Walter) would've been remotely the same without Mariah being the centrepiece. Honestly I'm getting tired of Walter's need for attention. He admits that the AIWFCIY royalty cheques are enough to feed his entire family tree yet he still complains he doesn't get credit? Errmm.. Has he been watching Mariah's interviews? Or does he not know that the singer (and also in this case, over 50% of the true songwriting credits) always gets the most recognition? Perhaps he just wants his own mic. Neither Hero nor AIWFCIY would be the same even if you did the exact same thing with Celine, Leona or anyone else on his impressive list.

Re: Oh Santa late late (91,750) (91,782) by Musti from UK
That was awesome. It might be the best live version of Oh Santa. I know this song will never reach AIWFCIY status but I hope it starts getting a bigger push now that Project AIWFCIY is complete.

Re: Billboard week of 12.28 (91,743) (91,744) by Musti from UK
Awards relate to certain pre-determined periods of time. Charts are every single week. AIWFCIY would be sitting at the top whether it's a week in 2019, 2020 or any other decade from now on. The only reason why the same song hitting #1 across decades may not seem like a thing is simply because no one had made it a thing, until now.

#19 (91,711) by Musti from UK
Many lambs have been saying it for years that AIWFCIY will be her 19th. This is so damn good. Congrats M, congrats lambily. Mama lamb brang it once again. I'm particularly happy about this #1 as there is finally no doubt that she has more #1's than Elvis.

Re: Taylor Swift (91,550) (91,553) by Musti from UK
I don't see this song as a threat. Taylor's songs don't skyrocket like they used to. Lover Man barely made it to top 10. I doubt the radio or the public in general will cut down on AIWFCIY to make time for this borefest. I hope I'm not wrong.

Article: All I Want voted most annoying holiday song (91,496) by Musti from UK
Yet AIWFCIY is at #34 on the UK charts this week, up 25 spots. Hmm.

Re: Grammy 2020 (91,410) (91,420) by Musti from UK
Exactly. Let's not forget the Grammy folks are mostly an arrogant bunch. But I'm glad she finally started giving them a piece of her mind. They never understood her, not even in her prime. They're are not likely nominate her under any circumstances. The good news is, no one really gives a damn about their dumb popularity contest.

Re: Mariah's reach (91,354) (91,361) by Musti from UK
"Widely known as a Mariah Carey move." I can't believe IDKH made it to the news in this way.

Re: Andy (91,321) (91,322) by Musti from UK
I have mixed feelings too but I will keep positive about this. Mariah isn't the best with tea spilling. She can't even openly say TM's name in most interviews. Andy could help her with what tea to spill and how much.

Re: St John the Divine (91,230) (91,243) by Musti from UK
I agree. I really enjoyed the tracks. It felt intimate, the way she likes it. Her voice is in top shape on every song. It's always a treat to hear 90s Mariah in never-before-heard material. Sugar Plum Fairy is also great. Love the operatic moments. I'm surprised she included an acapella version. There are scratches in her whistle here and there. But it is what it is, and still sounds sweet.

Re: Something personal (91,065) (91,066) by Musti from UK
You'll get through it Will. Triumphant is my go-to when I have problems at work. Hero as well. I practically never listen to it unless I feel like punching my boss.

Re: Variety in print vs. video interview (91,040) (91,052) by Musti from UK
I would love for this to be an audio book. She can do a print version if she must but her voice really gives more meaning to her story. Maybe she can include a set of butterfly earplugs.

Re: Variety interview (91,025) (91,031) by Musti from UK
Yeah I'm also a bit skeptical as to how far she will go. I hope she doesn't half-ass it like most of her interviews. There's too much to tell. Even with the TM situation. She probably wouldn't have mentioned him in the Variety interview if it wasn't focused on #MeToo but no doubt there are still many details she's saving for the book. Sadly I don't think Stellar will make the cut. Too recent, too many legal barriers. Would be interesting if she takes her on though.

Re: Variety interview (91,020) (91,022) by Musti from UK
The only problem I have with this interview is her self indulgence. "My song", "Missy beat me", "not my best performance". But after watching the clip that Deedre shared, it's just Mariah talking like Mariah. Her interviews can come across bitchy sometimes until you hear her voice. She did alright here. And I agree that she has the right to be bitter. Plus, she's spent nearly 3 decades not really covering any behind-the-scenes details. This is why her interviews always sound generic. A rewording of all her previous interviews. But I truly believe that if there is one person in the music industry whose real story is yet to be told, it's hers. I am sure there is a whole ocean of information she has not shared with the world. We're just going by the tip of the iceberg. I'm here for the memoirs.

Re: Celine Dion (90,962) (90,967) by Musti from UK
I like that you used the word "relevant" because that's the only thing Celine has lacked since the early 2000s (and, of course, not ever being able to write lyrics and compose music). Mariah might be on another level, but Celine is an extremely gifted singer. A common mistake people make is to overlook her French albums, which have always been far more superior than her English body of work. She's not just a vocalist. She's an artist. And that's something that never dies regardless of the state of your voice or how relevant you are.

Article: Mariah praises "beautiful" gospel version of "My All" (90,952) by Musti from UK
Waking up to this number gave me one of the best mornings I've had in a very long time. Truly beautiful. Who could've ever imagined My All as a gospel song? Her influence has no boundaries. Gotta give a to the writer though. Basic ballad? Pfff.

Re: Diss tracks (90,928) (90,929) by Musti from UK
Love It's a Wrap. Thirsty and Prisoner are great too. Obsessed is one of the most iconic diss tracks of all time, hands down. The windex reference and the video alone are just too epic. I always felt slightly embarrassed by this one though. Only because she's a press conference and he's just conversation, yet he's lead single and she's some album cut. But I guess he had this one coming. He did go as far as playing certain voice recordings during his tour prior to Obsessed being released. If he wasn't such a boy with a mommy complex, he wouldn't have fallen head over heels for her when she was just being a typically flirtatious Aries girl. Get over it hun.

Re: In The Mehx (90,843) (90,870) by Musti from UK
I feel the same. I wish it had a catchier chorus than just "yaaay us". A theme song needs to have an addictive element, which this song doesn't in my opinion. It's too short a song to be dressed in melisma from top to bottom. On the other hand, the music is super fresh. I never realized how much I'd missed Popriah. I'm loving the whistles as well. I hope we'll get at least a couple of pop/electronic songs on the new album. It suits her so well.

You Got Me (90,718) by Musti from UK
This song never gets any love. Is there anyone out there who loves this? This is my second favourite Mariah uptempo (right after Hearbreaker Remix). Where do I even begin with this song? From the moment the music kicks in my mood shifts. The bridge alone is a standout. The bridge to end all bridges. Her voice is just excellent here throughout. I wonder if this was ever considered as a single. I never understood why it wasn't released. Such a strong second/third single in my opinion. Add it to the Migrate list.

Re: Videos (90,714) (90,717) by Musti from UK
The Butterfly video brings me to tears every time. Easily my favourite. I don't feel negatively about any of her videos, except for I Don't. I despise the video.

Re: Videos (90,715) (90,716) by Musti from UK
I love Triumphant. It wasn't the song I had hoped it'd be when it was released but I enjoy it every much now. The message is very powerful. I love her voice here, as well as the rap verses. The video could've been better but I wouldn't put it on a list of her worst videos.

Aretha (90,644) by Musti from UK
I was watching the Natural Woman performance from Divas Live 1998 today. I hadn't noticed this before at some point during Testimony, Aretha heads towards M and puts her arm around her and they start singing together. M seemed so happy when this happened, almost like she was validated. I didn't see Aretha touch anyone else that night. She must've really liked M and her story when they met. This is Aretha after all, the woman never made any effort to be nice to anyone she was not fond of. I'm so glad this moment happened. M was really in need of a warm embrace in those days, and what better person to give it to you than your idol and the Queen of Soul herself. People can say what you want about Aretha but what was bigger than her talent was her heart. May she forever rest in peace.

Re: Chart manipulation (90,612) (90,616) by Musti from UK
This article is bull. As far as I'm aware the only single that was discounted was Loverboy. There were also rumours back in the day that Sony would buy back her singles to increase sales. I believe none of it. People would say anything to overshadow someone's success.
