Uptown Funk (51,132) by Darryle from USA I'm getting slightly worried that Uptown Funk will surpass One Sweet Day. Remixes (51,130) by Darryle from USA I've really been into Mariah's remixes lately. Especially the dance ones. My favorites at the moment are: 1. CTTA (Morales Revival Triumphant remix) 2. Heartbreaker/If You Should Ever Be Lonely club mix 3.Dreamlover (David Morales Def House Club Remix) 4. Thirsty remix 5. Looking good (51,086) by Darryle from USA Mariah's been looking good lately. The curls are coming back and she's showing off the legs. She also looks like she's been lost more weight. Hopefully she'll keep all of this up as Vegas comes. (Monday 23 March 2015; 21:21)

The Roof (51,068) by Darryle from USA Today's the 17th anniversary of The Roof. I never really listened to The Roof until today. I always let it play but never payed attention to it. Now I recognize it's a masterpiece and is one of Mariah's best songs. The sample makes for the perfect combination of hip hop and R&B. Mariah croons over the beat not doing any vocal tricks until the last part which makes the background vocals stand out. It's like Mariah went into the studio built a wall of vocals layering on top of layering. Then there are the lyrics. Lyrically the song is phenomenal. What song do you know that can rhyme moet with liberated? It's a shame the song is so underrated. I guess it will just remain another one of the hidden gems in Mariah's catalog. Coincidence or not? (50,998) by Darryle from USA Does anyone else find it odd that all these old or missing things are popping up all of a sudden? First the lost Rainbow era interview was all of sudden found right before Mariah went to the HRC gala. Then some demos were uploaded to YouTube and a day later Mariah posted on twitter about listening to her teenage demos. There's also the Mariah and Whitney VH1 interview in which Mariah mentions briefly that there was another VOL video. I can't decide if it's all just an odd coincidence these things are all appearing at the same time or that Mariah might be behind it. (Wednesday 18 March 2015; 1:34)

Lee Ts / demos (50,972) by Darryle from USA That demo you posted just might be real. There was a part 2 added later for the song Someday. Also Mariah posted on twitter: Now playing Hypnotized (my teenage demo version). I don't what demo Hypnotized is for but I think it might be for Someday. If any of the aforementioned demos are on the infamous demo tape then it's likely that Mariah or someone else still has the demo tape which means we might get to hear it someday (pun intended). HRC (50,920) by Darryle from USA That wasn't a good performance. It was ok at best. Mariah sounded hoarse the whole time, which made it difficult to listen to her. The notes where choppy like she was singing each syllable of the word. This something I've noticed she does often, whenever she can't hold the note she splits them in into syllables. The climax was clearly lipped. Not only does her voice get considerably lower after the climax but, if Mariah can't sing the line "just hold on" without making it choppy what makes her think I'm going to believe she can belt out "you'll find the way" straight through? There's less than 2 months until Vegas. Mariah needs to get her voice together or else critics and fans alike will eat her alive. (Monday 16 March 2015; 3:00)

Jamie King / Big Jim Wright (50,695) by Darryle from USA I definitely think Mariah should work with Jamie King for Vegas. He's worked with Madonna, Rihanna, Christina Aguilera, and Britney Spears. Those artist all put on great tours with amazing visual effects. Vegas is all about the show. Mariah of course has to bring her voice but she's also got to put on a show and entertain. Music video clips, lighting, and smoke won't cut it this time. I also think she should drop Big Jim Wright. He ages Mariah and her music and TESC wasn't a very high energy tour. Vegas needs to be high energy the whole show. (Saturday 7 March 2015; 5:38)

Jermaine Dupri (50,643) by Darryle from USA I guess Jermaine's feud with Mariah about being her manager didn't end their friendship. He posted to his twitter: "In the studio all night with Mariah Carey." I don't really care if Mariah works with Jermaine or not, but I am glad that their 20 year long friendship/partnership wasn't ruined. (Wednesday 4 March 2015; 23:33)

Weight (50,600) by Darryle from USA She definelty looks like she's lost some weight to me. She might now be noticeably thin but she looks like lost a bit of the weight in her stomach and neck. Either way I'm just happy to see her smiling. (Tuesday 3 March 2015; 21:19)

Crybaby video (50,519) by Darryle from USA In the Crybaby video Mariah's pager says: "MC2000. Often imitated, never duplicated. A.K.A. the hardest working bi**h in the business." I thought this was funny and so I decided I'd share it to lighten up the mood. (Saturday 28 February 2015; 4:54)

Public eye (50,424) by Darryle from USA I do think Mariah needs to get back out. She hasn't been seen out since January 30 that's almost a whole month. Mariah has a Las Vegas residencey coming up in less than 3 months. She's not going to sell out her tickets if she's only promoting it to the lambily. She needs to be going out to award shows, be seen on the street, or at the very least post some selfies on Instagram. Even though I don't like JLo she's got the right idea about always being on the red carpet. This is probably the only time I'll ever say this but, Mariah needs to take a play from JLo's book. Rihanna (50,287) by Darryle from USA I didn't know she has 13 number ones. She's even closer to Mariah's record than I thought. It is true that records are meant to be broken. It's also true that no amount of #1s can take away Mariah's legendary status. Still if someone were to surpass her it would suck. But if Mariah can break The Beatles' record then I will no longer care about #1s. I know she's got another hit up her sleeve. She's just got to work a bit harder at it than usual. Rihanna (50,277) by Darryle from USA Rihanna's new song FourFiveSeconds just went to number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. I'm starting to get worried. She already has 10 number 1s. She's not to far off from breaking Mariah's record. I know Rihanna isn't a better artist than Mariah but breaking Mariah's record will definitely boost her star power. I hope that since Mariah's releasing a #1s album and doing a #1s Vegas residency that she'll bring in another #1 this year. She needs to do something soon because we all know Mariah clings to her #1s with all she's got. (Wednesday 18 February 2015; 21:57)

Vegas songs (50,270) by Darryle from USA I hope when Mariah does Vegas she does the original versions of the songs. I love the remixes but they aren't what sent the songs to #1. I want to hear the original Heartbreaker. Fantasy, and Honey. I know remixes are probably easier on her voice but it's a Vegas #1s show. Not a Vegas remix show. (Wednesday 18 February 2015; 17:19)

Social media (50,177) by Darryle from USA For Mariah to succeed she needs to start using social media more. For starters Mariah should actually get all the social media platforms. She only has Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. She needs to update he Vine, get a Snapchat, update her Tumblr which only has one post from 2013. She needs to use it to speak out on her recent events. Like when she was having label troubles back in the 2000s she'd leave voice messages talking to the fans. She needs to do the same now. Instead of keeping quiet about Jamaica she should use YouTube/Facebook to issue an apology video. Staying quite only makes it look like she's ignoring the problem. She also needs to use it to promote her songs. She tried this with releasing TAOLG on Facebook but it wasn't well executed. She should tweet lyrics, make lyric videos on YouTube and things of that nature. She has millions of followers to promote her music properly with social media will help boost sales. Twitter update / Michael Bolton (50,111) by Darryle from USA A fan asked when a Mariah and Michael Bolton collaboration was going to happen and Mariah responded: "Gotta Make it Happen" and Mariah responded "One Sweet Day". I could be reaching for something that's not there, but the possibility of a Michael Bolton collaboration is very exciting. I hope Mariah wasn't just responding to be nice. Deniece Williams / Twitter (50,094) by Darryle from USA I was looking through Mariah's twitter feed and she's having a conversation with singer Deniece Williams. Mariah tweeted "Niecy. You have no idea how many storms your song Free has gotten all of us through. I will be honored to work with you some day." I don't know if Mariah was just saying that she'd love to work with her or if they might actually collaborate on something. It might be a stretch but we could possibly be seeing another female Mariah collaboration in the works. (Friday 13 February 2015; 23:09)

Jamaica (49,999) by Darryle from USA After viewing some of the other videos I've decide the whole show was a mess. #Beautiful's whistles were clearly either playback or meant to be lipped because Mariah's mic was on and she was singing over them but at the end she waved her hand as if she were doing a whistle. There was also way too much talking in VOL. I understand that you can get into the song but at points it seemed like Mariah was about to go on a mini tangent. I think it's best to forget Jamaica and move onto Vegas. Remember her mistakes but forget the show. (Tuesday 10 February 2015; 4:05)

Damage repair (49,927) by Darryle from USA To get back on top Mariah has to do major damage control. She needs to be in TEOM mode x10. She has got to shed the diva image and show the world that she can still sing. First and foremost she needs to nail the Vegas shows. Every single show needs to be TAOM tour worthy or better. When she's not doing Vegas she needs to be out there performing on shows like Good Morning America, The Voice, and every award show available. To shed the diva image she needs to do a tell all interview with someone like Oprah, Barbra Walters, or Matt Lauer. She has to be open about everything she's been through. Her divorce, American Idol, her most recent album's failure, her sister, Ariana Grande etc. Doing this would allow the GP to see Mariah in a different light. It'd make her seem more down to earth and approachable. Lastly she needs a wardrobe change. No more ballgowns and mermaid hair. If she does these things then there is a chance of seeing Mariah back on top. (Sunday 8 February 2015; 16:00)

Nathan Morris (49,854) by Darryle from USA I think his message was heartfelt and he meant well. I agree with everything he said. He's a true friend of Mariah's, he has probably been through what she's going through right now. I liked what he said about her having to want to be the old Mariah again. It's not enough to do things for the fans or as an obligation she has to do it for herself or she won't get anything out of it. I'm not just talking about her voice, I mean her career in general. As for it being sabotage, I don't think so. The only thing sabotaging Mariah's career is herself with all of these bad performances. I can only hope she sees his message as a friend reaching out a hand and not someone who's turning his back on her. (Saturday 7 February 2015; 2:00)
