Re: Silent release (42,537) by NYHotShotta from USA I don't think it'd be wise for MC to do a silent release because it'd look like she was copying Beyonce. Plus, Beyonce was really able to do a silent release because she already had strong pre-promtion with her Pepsi and H&M ads, her documentary, going on a world tour, and releasing snippets of potential album cuts so she could drop a silent release. I'm a little nervous about this new album because the promotion has been up and down. Her next single needs to be amazing. I just hope this album is amazing since she's been working on it for awhile. New album (42,478) by NYHotShotta from USA I think Mariah's label wasted releasing The Art Of Letting Go as a single especially when the single's cover art and title should have been held for the album. But anyways, I can't do anything about it. I just hope this album is mindblowingly great for all the wait. (Friday 4 April 2014; 6:32)

First time I heard Mariah / new album (42,346) by NYHotShotta from USA First time I heard her was when I saw the music video for ABMB. I thought she was 15 not 25 lol. Also, where are all you guys seeing that the new album has been pushed back? I hope not. Mariah needs to release this. I hope it's an amazing album and I could see her going with the mermaid theme. Mariah's voice / new era (42,261) by NYHotShotta from USA Well Mariah has said she's always had vocal nodules put she learned to sing through them. I think she needs to put down the wine and champagne and get her mother to retrain her voice so she could stop depending on vocal tracks so much. As for this era, I really hope her album is solid especially since it's been pushed back so many times. I have a good feeling about her collabo with Q-Tip and her songs with JD and Bryan Michael Cox are usually great. But so for the promo for this album has been lackluster, Mariah needs to really promote this like she did with TEOM. (Friday 21 March 2014; 4:36)

You're Mine remixes (42,148) by NYHotShotta from USA I'm still waiting for some legendary resung dance remixes by Mariah. I think her last good resung dance remixes were the David Morales remixes of It's like That. I like the beat on the You're Mine (...) remix but I was hoping she'd go in the studio and re-record the remixes with Maryanne, Taketha, Sherri, and Trey doing background vocals. Hopefully, she'll do so with the next single. (Sunday 16 March 2014; 3:07)

I think Mariah should write and record more songs that fit her current range or maybe stop drinking wine/champagne and take vocal lessons from her mom. Re: YME opinion / career direction (41,574) by NYHotShotta from USA I agree with you that her music besides MC2Y hasn't been the same since 2008, but I don't think JD's influence is causing her to go the route she's going. He's the one that tries to push her to do material like she used to do. It was his idea to not have her singing airy on We Belong Together. He's said before he takes more of an r&b approach whereas she almost thinks like a rapper. I agree that I feel like she is capable of releasing better music. I like #Beautiful a lot, because it's different from this dance music craze that is popular. Triumphant and The Art Of Letting Go are ok and I like the simplicity of You're Mine, though I wish she would have Mary-Ann, Trey, and Takeitha singing bv's. I know she's been inspired by her earlier albums and I hope the inspiration takes form into some great music. (Friday 21 February 2014; 13:09)
