About May from Denmark: Following MC music since day 1.

Re: Article: Now he's touching her body (78,742) (78,752) by May from Denmark
I'm not really sure it's the music industry leaving her behind because she can't cope. Granted she has relied on a lot of gimmicks lately but aren't so different from the rest. Taylor Swift new song is so [censored] bad, it sounds like something Courtney Stodden wrote, remember that wacky blonde young lady who married that old has been actor years ago? Yes, that's how bad I think Taylor is yet the song has had above 200 mil views in like a week and some people saying it sounds good. I don't sound much better than that trash but the video was ridiculous and Mariah look like a parcel with all those laces and tight clothes, not judging she always loved trashy looks for some weird reason, that's also why I never envied her closet other than the space and the floors. To conclude the post as I side tracked, I think people just see Mariah as an old has been, Adele voice is broken and her fans lashed out but she is still at the top because I believe her age helps. She also admitted that she much rather spend time with her kids and since she isn't getting drunk her ass anymore she feels she won't write good music no longer, that statement blew my mind, only Sia confessed such things as she dealt with alcoholism. Will our Mimi ever confess she drinks too much? I think age is against Mariah in an era when people want them younger, and her diva acting or performing doesn't help. That was a thing in the 80s and 90s but no one tolerates it anymore. People want their artists to be more real but Mariah seems more and more out of touch with reality. She has a lot of work ahead, schedule appearences and tours and on top of that the claim that she is working on an album. People say age has not affected JLo but that's a lie, her last real hit was with Pitbull and then she went back to nothing, all that shaking of the money maker and keeping fit is not helping, even Madonna music wise is done, she relies on tours and shows, no one listens anything new she has put out. Age does make a difference. Taylor sucks but she is young, friends with the Kardashian-Jenner trash and has her groupie of bitchy models around like Cara Delevigne, so she is like the popular airhead girl that all love yet has nothing to offer.

He should know better? He is a horrible yellow trash journalist. He is always giving the most disgusting opinions, I may remind you he works for the Daily Mail, garbage fearmongering newspaper that always blows thing out of proportions and has the some of the most racist followers, this newspaper frequently writes awful articles about Mariah, once she was called a whale in a photo caption. Piers Morgan knew what he was doing, he did it purpose. He is a vile person.

Re: EMC stripped versions of MC songs (78,513) (78,522) by May from Denmark
I also came across it a couple of days ago, I was going to comment on it too and I think it's amazing. This one video in particular got me to listen to the entire Butterfly album again, aside the from the 20 years celebratory moment. Babydoll is such a sweet song but with the time I completely lost interest, really hadn't listened to it entirely for about a year. It was one of those forgotten songs that I didn't feel like returning to. I heard this version and I thought how incredible Mariah voice was when it came to runs. Love the whole thing. I already listened to it a fair amount of times. So nice to go back to an oldie and enjoy it as much as the first time.

Re: Mamariah (78,470) (78,512) by May from Denmark
Well sweet Tracey that's the problem, Mariah doesn't care, she doesn't care about anything anymore. She just goes on stage, gets her check and goes back to her Dom Peri in Mimiland with all the human-hangers she calls friends but we know they are paypals. She needs to care again. I don't buy the "fragile" bs image, she is insecure yes, but she could go through a lot of things on her own. Somewhere along her career she has created this dependency to others, the woman who wanted to be free as a butterfly, she seems agoraphobic at times, never on her own. It's called growing up, she isn't really 12. I love her but her shows have been going downhills.

Re: VH1 (78,490) (78,511) by May from Denmark
Yes, Bryan is a hanger, good grief, they mutually use each other's arms, she; the Bryan-hanger, he; the human cane. This is so ridiculous already. The clan of witches are nowhere to be seen at least. Supposedly Stella fired Anthony, could possible be because he was starting to show more manager material than she is? No wonder why Bryhanger continues to be around, he does nothing but play the fiddle. He just wants his 15 minutes and money.

Re: Article: Mariah is stiff as a board in Hip Hop Honors performance (78,460) (78,464) by May from Denmark
She is neither 80 years old having a cane or obese. She is chubby but not fat, she is not even 50 yet. Surely she can do one, two, three steps. The annoying thing is that she looked great, the stage was nice with the dancers and the theme, loved the jet ski and the helicopter props (which were hardly used), she sang well even if it was pre recorded or truly live or with some lippy, it was good nonetheless, but all that was overshadowed but her standing, being held and walked around few steps. All the headlines and the fans noticed that. I hope she takes this as a wake up call and we can move on to better times. I'm hoping that new music might eclipse all these underwhelming performances. I thought that while somewhat weak "Infamous" sounded good, "I don't" had something going on for it, very catchy, would have loved a dark video like that photoshoot she did where she sits in the throne with the masked men, the video we got was meh, and her last mix with Montana was pleasant. I believe she still can produce and write good tunes, I don't think she is very invested in it, her life right now seems weird, Tanaka, the kids here and there, that clan of troll looking women, what up.

Mimi yes to all you said. So right. What happened to Anthony? Did they fire him, did he quit? He could make Mariah dance.

Re: Why was Mariah on stage? (78,439) (78,446) by May from Denmark
Mariah seemed to have more energy at Beyonce's age, afterall, that was the time she gave us the Emancipation. Bey right now is taking care of her cubs, which is sweet, I believe she will be able to shake the money maker when she turns 47 like Mariah. I think we should compare with Jello as they have the same age, the woman has a lot of energy and she also has twinsies. Mariah needs to lay the alcohol and drink whatever Jello is drinking.

Re: Article: Mariah is stiff as a board in Hip Hop Honors performance (78,432) (78,445) by May from Denmark
Yes to all that J, you and Bill wrote perfectly what I wanted to say in my broken English. She has no stage presence anymore, it's all gimmicks. She looked gorgeous, but standing there looking pretty is not enough. Just watched the HD version, I was hoping to hear that belted and those runs in the climax but all I heard was ooh and aah and an awkward silence where we know she says Honey, instead it came the pre record. I thought she was singing live just fine until she sat in the helicopter and it was all too obvious. I'm still here waiting for new music but we will get another worldwide tour. I am actually thinking in going if it happens because I feel that there won't be much Mariah left for future performances, and I'm talking about the singer, she seems everytime less willing to sing or perform at all. What's happening to our Mariah? I don't want to be negative but she gives me no positive feedbacks with that lazy attitude, if there was a valid reason I would step back. Some mentioned she was drunk, I don't know, the sad thing is that I could totally believe she was. Mariah come back darling, slap yourself on the face, quit the alcohol, care for yourself and come back. For the person who said noone said anything about the LR tour, that's not true. A fair amount of lambs said she was stiff. It's a problem that has been building since years.

Re: Article: Mariah is stiff as a board in Hip Hop Honors performance (78,420) (78,427) by May from Denmark
She is not expected to dance, she is expected to move, let's say like she did for Honey live on MTV, "Joy to the world' in the cathedral or "Anytime you need a friend" in her tour to Japan. She walked, she threw her arms in the air. Adele is not asked to move because she could (we all know is past tense) sing live just fine, like we didn't care Mariah not moving back then when she sang live, I didn't care if some of her Vegas shows were a bit stiffy here and there because she was doing the effort of singing well live. Because she has some failed lip synch situations plus the NYE event that live or not nothing happened, people expect more of her, they think she will lip synch some or all the song, so they want her to pull a Rupaul's drag race final lip synch battle and give it all she got at least. But it isn't happening. What bugged me about this performance is that from the get go was so fake, people screaming in the public "it's not her" and laughing after a double Mariah was doing the stunt while the real Mariah was right there at the bottom of the wall waiting her entrance while being held and pushed like a grandma by a dancer. Why do they need to position her so much, it's so obvious. I ask this with all sincerity, is she having health problems? No high heels or chubbiness justifies being so stiff, she even required help to sit down in the jet ski. Is she for real that lazy or she has medical isssues going on? Where is this hard working woman? It's five freaking ki utes of her life, five minutes where she should drop the best and then go on vacations for 5 months and work at her own pace and drop an album a year later. It's five damn minutes. She came from a tour, some say she was stiff, others say she was good, fact is that fans go to see her so fans might be forgiving, but on live tv anyone is watching, she could give her all for 5 damn minutes. In another note, talking about ensembles, I thought her outfit it was ok for the stage but only if she did something other than pretend to be the Statue of Liberty, maybe she should have gone for a dress if she was going to stand for a while. But this video popped in my YT feed and I thought, amazing how much we can change through the years. Who doesn't think she is doing all the opposite from what she mentions in the video. Has her recent ensembles taken over the person?

Re: Journalists fat shaming Mariah (77,528) (77,556) by May from Denmark
Sadly the journalists do it with everyone, not just Mariah. I remember the Daily Mail even called her a whale once in one of the photograph descriptions, it was awful. And many times they have found adjectives of some sort to simply call her fat in pejorative ways. Then again can't expect any less from the DM.

Re: Short memories (77,520) (77,555) by May from Denmark
Because the song was done, she did it, we even got a snippet but for some reason it wasn't released. The movie already presented her as the songwriter and she introduced the movie in a short trailer so it will happen. If the movie doesn't get released that's a different thing.

Re: Like the rest of us, she isn't (77,546) (77,554) by May from Denmark
So much drama for a person having no waist and thick legs. She is quite thick now but I wouldn't portray her as fat, like someone who has the muffin tops overcooking all out of the jeans or had a big pot belly. Mariah has always been lazy when it comes to exercising, we all know. People do too much drama about what others wear, yet if frog Kardashian wore a turd top, next morning all the streets would be looking like sewer from the sheeple-girls changing wool for turd. I agree completely that Mariah became the diva, the whistle became the gimmick and she all in all turned all the things she said she didn't want it to happen. As a celebrity I don't really expect anything regarding her body, I know she is physically lazy, it has always been known. America has an obesity problem, which is becoming a common thing in the UK also and is starting to rise in this other side too. I never thought of Mariah as a role model to follow in regards to body, I cared about her music and voice and still do. If she wants to sing in a bikini while her pot belly is out, whatever, I never followed her for her fashion or costumes, for that kind we have Lady Gaga, who seemingly has been trying to erase that part of her career acting all fashionably "normal" and elevated when we know is late to take her serious, no one will forget the Kermit the frog's jacket. It's like all have their crash and then want to be - taken seriously - Katy Perry being the last one. Mariah is like she had a whole opposite moment, from serious elegant slightly sexy glam to the Dolly Parton of RnB. Only that everybody loves Dolly and no one cares she has showed us teetees for the longest period of time but there is that humbleness Mariah lost, that magic to communicate niceness. Dolly is a sweetheart, she was and is America's sweetheart. When she speaks she is honest but sweet, you know she had so much but also behaves as if she was your neighbor. What happened to Mariah's eloquent way of talking in interviews and even on stage? That time she was on stage and she was trying to explain people why she arrived late and then said something like "oh you people wouldn't understand it, you have normal boring lives, because you aren't artists, I can't sleep at night... when you have a creative mind like us artists do" and she kept on, I felt bad for her and I cringed and that was the first time I thought "Mariah shut up you are sounding like a condencending arrogant bitch", I even felt somewhat dissappointed of her that time. Can you say ego in capitals?. She has consistently portrayed herself like that ever since Charmbracelet, it got intense in the Emancipation time. Maybe at this age and time she got tired of keeping it together for the press? Like you said, no doubt she is a good person, I believe she is a narcissistic person too but this last was always down played by her with comments about how grounded she was. I think her publicity team having no filters isn't helping, someone used to make Mariah get fit for her job, like when she reappeared for E=MC2 or every other album debut, or her previous tours, she looked great for her Adventure tour. No exercise for tours means also feeling more tired to sing properly. I felt the late performances were lackluster not because her weight (that's just silly, she isn't obese) or her tiredness but I think she must be taking some medicine, she has been having that weird look and sounding monotonous and rigid looking when interviewed again. Is it possible she is having a health issue she doesn't want to publicly address?

Re: Someday (new vocals) (77,417) (77,454) by May from Denmark
I thought this was something hidden from the studios but it's just a mash up of instrumental and existing known vocals isolated plus an acapella version. Somehow the mix is so well done it sounds so fresh. Mariah should have recorded her last #1 to Infinity with all new vocals and arrangements and even make as bonus one or two into something whole new, like a jazz or salsa version, it would have been unexpected, lost chance. I was still hanging on the chance of having a proper HD quality live dvd of her Vegas show. When I hear these mixes I always think of that vault Prince had with videos and music no one even knew about except those who participated in it. What if there is this MC vault, so precious noone knows about, she did mention having written alternative and even rock songs. We had a bit of that taste with BOTH Charmbracelet. Mariah is versatile but for the public and what she gives us is so more of the same. Come on Mariah, give us fresh.

Wished Mariah released a photo album, like those Madonna did once upon a time. I would love for her to include some of those rare never seen pictures as bonus.

Re: "I Don't" reached 19 million views, what do you think? (76,960) (76,969) by May from Denmark
Don't under estimate the Latino public. As someone who is from South America and a teen when Mariah was at her peak and J-Lo just appeared, even back then tv music channels had J-Lo videos running more often than Mariah's and she also got more radio spins, overall the Spanish ones which made J-Lo a favorite one, Christina Aguilera also got a big boost when she introduced her Spanish version. Never understood why Mariah didn't do a bigger effort for that market. She could have had it so easily, her song Mi Todo was really a hit and a prefered one over the original. People will always go for their home language. J-Lo bought the market with her Latin flavor, so no matter if she only released songs in English from now on, the Latinos have her back. As for visuals she didn't offer anything Latinos haven't seen back then but it is the fact she looked homely, like the pretty girl next door with this American coolness and a gorgeous backside haha.

Same. It's probably the album with the most upbeat songs, it's my go-to happy album. Really like it from start to end. Migrate is such a great opening song.

Re: The press conference (76,716) (76,750) by May from Denmark
I truly think Mariah doesn't care. You can't possibly be invited somewhere and not try to find out who are the people you will be surrounded by. One can't possibly be that ignorant, not someone "of the world" who constantly travels and meets important people. Remember the time she performed for one of the Gaddaffi? You can't say she didn't know. You got to be Heidi Montag or someone truly stupid for real who lives under a rug to not know. Sometimes it happens we love someone so much we end up suffering from cognitive dissonance and don't want to admit certain realities and facts for fear of everything crumbling down. I sort of accepted the fact long ago that Mariah likes the cash, the luxury life and needs a mean to support it. We don't really know how much cash she blows everyday and what are her future prospects, let's remember even mega millionaires have lost it all, nothing is for granted. I find it weird that she signed to this cosmetic Israeli brand and not doing more things with MAC after the amazing success, unless she is getting a percentage of the sales or unless she is simply after having her face and name in yet another product but why. The champagne, the vodka, the perfumes, the jewelry, the tv products show, the cosmetics, the water, the list goes on and on and lots of the projects aren't even for the fans as part of merchandise. Maybe she is looking for fast income and is trying to find a venue that gives her this. Like the Katrashcan with their beauty lines or some other celebs who have done very good in the wine industry, maybe she wants to find that something that will help her settle financially in this phase of her life. She said she would never stop making music and I believe her, but I also believe that music will become just for her and not for the world anymore because truthfully it just won't sell like in the past and she seems to be focused on doing only the music she wants and likes. She might, if all winds blow in the right direction, have one more hit under her sleeve. I want to blame Stella and her clan of sponges for lots of things but many issues have existed before she even appeared in the main picture. Nothing makes sense to me anymore. Her music used to reflect her life and feelings, always doing an introspection with a song but now at days it feels forced, "I don't" felt forced but perhaps because the docu-Stel-lie portrayed Mariah as a flirter and cheater. All this messes including the late cancelled interviews in Israel (probably for good) are not painting a good image. Anyone else feels like Mariah should have been more grown as a person now that she is a mom but instead it feels like she regressed and wants to be 20 and having the party life she couldn't have? Could it all just simply be middle life crisis? I made this very long, that's what not being able to sleep does to you I guess.

She is not flat but her Baku show was (76,697) by May from Denmark
She didn't sound horrible but she obviously sounded weak. Not a single high note hit for real, then that late warm up, was it because she was late again? What the heck does she always do that it takes forever? Overall because she is not the one doing her own make up unlike Celine Dion. Probably she was trying to squeeze in that horrid catsuit. The look wouldn't be awful if it actually fit and if the boots were lost. If at least was a knee length dress or gown sequined with the n1 would have been so different. I'm not one to throw any thick girl under the bus but Mariah please just dress your size at least. Anyway, as I said, it was obvious she lowered the key on all her songs and played it very safe. She moved very little, gone are the days she walked all the stage. She was doing ok in Vegas and her tour was fine, can't ever trust her since years though, it all goes down hills again for some reason, she rides the rollercoaster and I'm getting tired of the bumpy ride. In all honesty, she looked sad, she didn't seem to be having fun or enjoying the fireworks, the chat and the moment. Where were her dancers? Have they ditched her? Or was she? The woman with the big voice seems gone so all that rests is music and the new music is no where to be heard.

I just read the news and saw his picture in the list of deceased. I couldn't believe it. I'm so sad. What awful news, I was hoping he lost his phone and was disoriented or something. Can't say anything, devastating for his family and friends. How sad a lamb is gone.

Re: Mariah loosing a lot of fans thread (75,576) (75,611) by May from Denmark
The problem is that Mariah has spoiled us. She used to give us album after album in such short periods of time. Her last one seemed like it took forever and all the release re-scheduling made it worst. Most singers take a few years to make a whole album. I would like to think she is taking time because she is having a life, that her kids take a lot of attention, etc. I was happy when she shared a picture of herself in the studio. My only concern, considering the last singles, what could she possibly be recording. Guess it's gonna be surprise but I hope is not on the last single's line.

Strange thing to say about missing the 90s because back then there was the IRA and they also bombed Manchester with hundreds of hurt people. Also in that time there were bombings placed in Jewish areas, one of the worst ones being the bombed Jewish AMIA in Argentina, when the whole conflict Palestine-Israel escalated. There's no denial it just seems to happen more often. All I can say is that the only thing I hope is that it finishes soon.We just can't keep living like this.
