Her songs don't make me cry (58,886) by Terna from Nigeria What's with the emotional wreck of lambs in here bawling to just a few opening notes of her music? Mariah's songs don't make me cry, they uplift me even those which are seemingly sad songs so to speak. Whenever I'm in a bad mood or going through stuff I play her music. Something about her that helps you escape pain and takes you to a calm place. Not bawling and crying river. (Tuesday 5 January 2016; 3:15)

Adele and 25 (58,823) by Terna from Nigeria Before I go further let me clarify that I'm a lover of Adele, have all 3 of her albums and some of her songs have never left my music playlist. Having said that, I'd give my two cents on her singing and most recent album 25. Adele is not on my top ten list of fave female singers for obvious reasons. She seems to sing in just one key, and for someone who's a fan of Mariah Carey I find that a big minus for her. What carries her is her storytelling ability in song (something Carey also possesses). But she lacks soul which Mariah Carey has in droves. Hello is the strongest song and vocal performance on 25. Thus the first single pick it got to great effect. However that doesn't make the whole album an automatic A+ in my book. I found it to be a total snoozefest with the exception of Hello. No other songs really stuck out and sat in my mind the way Hello did and even with that song, I got tired of quick. So why all the Adele vs Mariah comparisms? She's not even close lyrically talk less of vocally for Mariah to take notes from as I've seen some of you post here. What an insult to Mariah Carey. (Friday 1 January 2016; 21:26)

What you described is what makes Mariah miles ahead of her peers, her ability to make 3D music (for lack of a better term). And you wanna speak about her craft and I dare say perfect harmonies like they don't matter and comparing someone as basic as Adele (yeah finally someone called it as it truly is, she isn't the second coming of Christ) more relatable? Have several seats for that. The number of trolls that have infested this message board over the years is worrying. Happy New Mariah Carey filled and saturated year guys. Electronic Dance Music (58,719) by Terna from Nigeria As the name implies is dance music which Mariah has done for years (16 number 1s on the Billboard dance charts) so how is she not staying true to herself? The only difference is they were remixes but if this rumour is true (which I do hope it is), this would be the first time she's making a dance genre lead single. I have a good feeling about this. Mariah Carey (58,279) by Terna from Nigeria Is the voice. She's the one to beat (if you can). Even on her worst day, she's still better than all current so called singers today put together, with their one dimensional sound, songs and music. Even if she decides to never sing another note again, she is still the one. It wasn't Whitney Houston, it's definitely not Beyonce, Rihanna, Aretha, Patti Labelle, Brandy (vocal bible my foot), Celine nor Christina or any other singer male or female I haven't mentioned. Can't Say No (58,196) by Terna from Nigeria Just purchased from iTunes and I must say, I love it though she doesn't let the vocals rip like on the ballad version. Still it's nice to hear one of my favourite songs by her get the R&B treatment and it works here. (Friday 4 December 2015; 1:57)

She built a whole career from lip synching, even the recordings are all lipped, right from Vision Of Love, down to Infinity every single one of her songs. And also the live performances, everytime she stepped on stage, she was lip synching I'm sure of it. Heck even her talking voice is lip synced. Smh. (Sunday 8 November 2015; 16:40)

Re: I'm going to reply (57,403) (57,408) by Terna from Nigeria If you have lost faith in Mariah Carey that's your problem, but don't come in here as Baby pointed out with your sarcasm, cynicism and confusion trying to afflict those of us who see Mariah clearly for who she is, the best, number 1. And don't need approval from fan bases of artists on a much lower level than Mariah's to validate all she stands for. If by now you don't know why you fell in love with Mariah or you waver everytime someone tries to make her seem less than she is, which in my own experience is a lot of times, then you aren't strong willed enough nor a true lamb because a true lamb is stubborn in a good way and after all is said and done in our eyes and how it truly is, Mariah Carey is the one. The music videos (56,111) by Terna from Nigeria Ok so before I read this article, I was like "Always be my baby" better be in the top 10 or else. Lol. And there it was at number 9 and the highlight? Throw in another verse for Mariah to sing and segue into the end. I do however love the random almost inverted production, it's very different than other collabos she has done. The remix (55,856) by Terna from Nigeria So I heard some lambs calling it another triumphant. Lol. You guys should realize that the music scene has changed. I think Alexis has a point here and I actually thought the same thing too, it's a song crafted for radio and is probably gonna blow up the airwaves. I already love it and it's stuck in my head the part where she sings towards the end of the song. Jake (55,551) by Terna from Nigeria How old are you Jake? I ask this question because you sounded really immature saying that. Like seriously? "The Art Of Letting Go" I dare say just might be the greatest song Mariah Carey ever wrote. It comes from a place no other of her songs, not even "Side Effects" came from. Lyrically, vocally, melodically, anyway you wanna spin it, that song is a masterpiece. (Thursday 30 July 2015; 21:19)

Infinity music video (54,084) by Terna from Nigeria The new video is everything I expected it would be, a video that captures this moment in time of her Las Vegas residency. Mariah is genuinely happy now you can tell just watching this video and I'm happy that she's happy. Wanted dem babies to have a moment in it too though. Lol. Enjoy the music guys, that's all I can say and if she bags another number one I'd be glad but if not she's set as a legend to infinity. Once the topic of music, songwriting and voices is brought up, Mariah Carey is number one. Her legacy, achievements and body of work speak volumes for her. (Wednesday 3 June 2015; 0:10)

Infinity (52,335) by Terna from Nigeria I love it. It's throwback but current at the same time. Lyrics are witty and pretty fast too though. It's a beautiful song and I love how she let it loose not holding back on the word "dream". Damn Mariah, this woman has a high voice. Lol. In a strange way it reminds me of her mermaid melodies. Quit complaining (51,731) by Terna from Nigeria Why is everyone complaining? I think they know what they're doing. This album is targeted towards the younger lambs who weren't around when the first one was released, it's updated to include her newer hits, also not everyone purchased it. Infinity art cover (51,675) by Terna from Nigeria I love the new cover, I think it's sleek. Look at her pose, she knows she's a queen lol. And that album title, wow this chanteuse ain't playing this year, she's bringing her A game. Mariah is gaining her confidence back, she is coming for that Beatles record. I feel like she indeed has been reading our conversations here and making mental notes, remember when we hinted bout her team being too relaxed and not doing their jobs? Cindi would be at the top of that list and I'm glad she's been replaced. Lol. Mariah is giving this another go, a true fighter. She's going to come back on top where she belongs. Eric the webmaster (51,052) by Terna from Nigeria No offence Eric but did you really read and get my meaning well, before you tried to embarass me and instead ended up embarassing yourself? You do realize I quoted "Can't take that away" (Mariah's Theme) and not "Hero" right? You of all people should know that. When she says youth she was refferring to her first album "Mariah Carey", she was just 20 when she released that album. Isn't 20-something considered to be one's youth or prime? I would love to believe Mariah's songs are deep, mostly about her life experiences and come from a place of substance, not just shallow songs. But oh well to each his own.
