What is happening? (47,323)

I don't mean to be negative, but is it just me? Are my ears messed up? What is happening with Mariah? She's removed some of the most difficult songs from the set-list, she's lipping some songs, but she's still not delivering. She's forgotten the lyrics to WBT in two venues now, also the lyrics for DE in Korea, disrupting the mood of the song switching to a mumbling out of place improvisation. There are rumors of people walking out of the concert in Korea. What is all this? When she was singing AIWFCIY and she was placing that decorative while snake on her neck, she pushed the microphone away it was evident she was lipping because her voice stayed the same. Not only fans but the GP are noticing these problems. God, please don't let her go down like that.

Billboard / so sad (47,187)
by Marcus from Brazil

It is so sad to see comments on YouTube for the full "Always Be My Baby" clip. Die hard fans that would've killed you if had said something negative about Mariah are now sad and disappointed. No, they are not putting her down, but they have come to realize Mariah has a problem she has to address. Nobody is buying the "she's getting a divorce" excuse. Some others are saying she shouldn't go on with this tour. That whole clip is unbearable to watch. God, please allow her to redeem herself on the next show. Mariah should sing not more than 15 songs. But songs that don't seem to be that difficult are giving her a hard time too. It is not only about the belting part, it is like she can't harmonize and everything sounds flat. If there's a time for Mariah to give up anything that might be affecting her voice, it is now. People are now watching closely. God bless her.

Lyric / rearrange (47,164)

Lyric, Mariah's songs are really difficult to sing, even songs that sound easy on the voice turn to be a struggle for many. I agree she should produce future projects with less complexities, but people wouldn't forgive her if she takes the highlights moments off songs from the old catalog. Mariah is known for her voice. As long as Madonna can move around a stage, she'll be fine. As long as Mariah can carry a tune, she'll be fine too. Barbra is 70 years old, and yet she doesn't sing as she used to, she has manage to be consistent. Sometimes I wonder whether Mariah has decided to ignore the condition of her voice. I don't really think Trey or anybody on her team has the guts to tell her: "Mariah, you didn't sound well" or "What happened". We are definitely witnessing what happened to Whitney, and it is painful to see two the greatest voices ever go down like that.

Lee, the tour / the voice (47,138)
by Marcus from Brazil

Lee, I was just thinking the same thing. Some lambs talk as if Mariah's voice problems stem from not resting it. How long does she need to rest her voice for it to have some consistency, 5 more years? I don't think anybody's expecting 90's quality performances anymore. A consistent rather acceptable show would be ok. Mariah is a vocalist, and what entertains us is her voice. All these crazy ad-libbing moments to avoid sustaining or carrying a note shows her voice is completely out of control. It is as if every day she comes closer to the state Whitney's voice was when people started walking out of her concerts. Only thing was Whitney had a well known addiction. Whoever encouraged poor Whitney to embark on a tour with her voice in that condition must've been delusional.

I hope Mariah comes to Brazil on this tour. We love Mariah dearly here. I have been coming to this messageboard for a few years now, but I just decided to actually become part of the community and post.
