Mariah in Nigeria, very disappointing (40,256)
by Paul from Usa
| |
|
|
I gotta say, Mariah should have learned her lesson after performing for Libyan leader's family Gaddafi in 2011. She promised to "raise money for human rights with future single, 'Save the day'." And even said she felt "embarrassed". First off, where is "Save the day" single? That was almost 3 years ago when she mentioned that. Mariah goes back on her words more times than not lately. She really doesn't follow through with anything she says she's going to do. Just like with dictator Gaddafi, this time it was all about the money (same price). Frankly she's really starting to annoy me. I'm tired of defending her lack luster performances, lavish diva like behavior, and acting like a a bimbo during interviews. She's an intelligent woman, but acts like a teenage girl!

AIWFCIY In washington performance (40,139)
by Paul from Usa
| |
|
|
I just watched the performance. I actually live in Washington and was going to take my chances and listen to go performance or possibly get in, but the weather really took a turn for the worse that day. It was about 30 degrees and damp, pouring rain all day. I wonder if that had an effect on her voice. Also I've noticed, each time Mariah performs in front of the president, or any other person she looks up to, she somehow screws up. "Chain of fools" Divas Live 98 "Medley" with Diana Ross, Divas 2000 "O come all ye faithful" Christmas in Washington 2010 And there are others. Do you guys wonder if she's just bored, and not passionate about music anymore? Everyone gets bored with their jobs, no matter how much they like it. But sometimes the stuff that comes out of her mouth is so strange and awkward (ie the end of this performance, and her latest appearance on Jimmy Fallon, HSN). I wonder what's going on through her mind sometimes. She's definitely not the same Mariah she was in her earlier days. It's great to have a bit of fun, but sometimes you need to buckle down and be a adult. I wonder if she ever watches her appearances and performances? She's lost all the special perfectionist touches.

Mariah on Jimmy Fallon (39,777)

Why is Mariah so awkward during interviews lately? It seems impossible for her to answer questions without talespinning onto something totally off topic?

Am I missing something (38,544)
by Paul from Usa

The remixes are garbage. Point blank. I just don't see what all the hype is about. It's basically the same song, with done words traded out. I'm serverely disappointed in Mariah. I think she has her head in the clouds.

I'll be loving you long time VS beautiful video (37,819)
by Paul from Usa

I love the IBLYLT video. It's gorgeous. Mariah is free. It's summer. She's sexy. Sun kissed. Not once does she grab her crotch. Make a sex face. It's a simple video, and has a plot. I just feel Mariah has gotten a little lazy with her music/videos. Why not let some professional come in and coach her, give her a plot, learn how to dance instead of flashing the goods to the crowd. Make a good meaningful video that can change the world, give people inspiration, give regular people a reason to feel "beautiful" and love themselves. Mariah, where are going? I feel like I should protest her sometimes. Me: "What do we want?" Crowd: "Old Mariah." Me: "When do we want it?" Crowd: "Now." I'm hoping for change.

Beautiful video (37,818)
by Paul from Usa

I'm serverely disappointed with the beautiful video. The song is growing on me, it's okay, but def not her best, and I hope it's not the best she has to offer from her forthcoming album. This video could have been way better in my opinion. "You're beautiful." I wish the plot of the video had some inner beauty meaning, why does it have to be about Mariah almost flashing her crotch at us and pulling her skirt up a million times? I thought she had new inspiration since the birth of her children. I thought she was headed down a different path. It's been 4 years since MOAIA, I'm really ready for an album where Mariah is focused on her music and not her appearance. Am I the only one who feels this way?

Article about the left side of Mariah's face (37,094)
by Paul from Usa
| |
|
|
It doesn't sound well written for from a reputable source. I think most people have a better side of their face, why not Mariah Carey? In the video attached below the article, it seems she's bored, or tired, perhaps overworked, not like she's trying to disguise her left side. Just my opinion. Good to see Mariah and Nicki getting along. Happy to see the premier of A.I . tomorrow. I'm only tuning in to see Mariah.

Mariah's demands? (36,991)
by Paul from Usa

Reading the list of demands by Mariah is quite entertaining. Makes me wonder why she doesn't demand her own champagne and wine instead of Cristol. Haha, is hers not up to par?

"O' come all ye faithful" live in Washington 2010 (36,881)
by Paul from Usa
| |
|
|
Has anybody ever seen Mariah perform "O' come all ye faithful" live in Washington from 2010? I cannot get enough of that performance. For one it's a very powerful, spiritual song. I love how Mariah is the star ending the show, how the other artists, respectfully stand along Mariah and groove along to her belting voice. It's very majestic. It gives me shivers each time I watch it. What do you all think of that particular performance?

Live in Morocco (36,829)
by Paul from Usa
| |
|
|
Hello everyone. I hate to sound like a negative Nancy, but I am just sharing my thoughts. Has anybody seen the concert Mariah did in Morocco? Seems like there was absolutely no passion coming from Mariah. I've you search for the song Without You that she performed, it was terrible. If I remember correctly, that concert was kind of last minute. What are your opinions about this performance? I just don't feel like her heart is in the music anymore. Maybe it's time for her to hang up her mic.

Videos, Mariah needs to step up her game (36,732)
by Paul from Usa
| |
|
|
I only ask my next question because everyone is comparing Mariah to Rihana. Do people watch videos anymore? I mean, MTV, VH1 and BET are just filled with silly game shows/documentaries etc. Why bother creating them anymore? I do understand the difference of talent, and drive between the two, but I don't think it could hurt Mariah to sing a song such as "Only girl in the world" or "Don't stop the music" and get the direction she needs from a producer to tell her how to sing the song etc. I think it would help her get the attention of others. I mean, it's no different than Mimi covering a song and making it a hit, like "Open Arms" etc. I think one of Mariah's biggest mistakes is that she works with the same producers over and over again, and that she produces herself. Even we get people to proof read an assignment before we turn it in. Mariah used to have this recipe for success back in the day, where is it now? Most people admit, they like the older Mariah better. Has she not realized this is what her fans are asking for? This is what we want? Does she not hear? Or does she ignore? I really do not think her heart is in the music anymore. Even live performances are dull nowadays. "The adventures of Mimi" was a disaster. What is your opinion?

Bring it on home (36,731)
by Paul from Usa
| |
|
|
I don't find it creative at all, quite generic if you ask me. Mariah, where did your writing skills go? I don't find it inspiring whatsoever. "We gon bring it home"? Its weird, because like most of the track, and I do feel/hear the Daydream-ish parts of it, but, the song isn't motivating, to me, it sounds a bit dreary and depressing. I can only hope for better material on the next album. BIOH and Triumphant are garbage.

Cover/duet (36,264)
by Paul from Usa

I have always thought Mariah would do a fantastic job at Unchained Melody by the Rightious Brothers. I hope Mariah would take advantage of sharing the stage with No Doubt! Who doesn't love No Doubt? People are easily attracted to Gwen Stefani and it would be an interesting combination. What do you all think?
