I said she is alright, apparently you have a hard time understanding what you wrote, I don't even know what link that is, lol I wrote it as a meaning and the headmaster did a link of it. But she is good, she the only thing that made me mad was the fact that Mariah means way more to music than Meryl does for the movie industry.
Anyways Mariah is the greatest director I have ever seen, and Glitter is the greatest movie, Meryl could only wish to produce a movie like that

First of all stop acting as if Mariah has gotten credit for every video in her career, she said in an interview that, gotta find that interview, Tommy used to steal credits from Mariah as labels do from artist everyday.
Remember when it comes to Mariah, I will always believe her more than you guys, her words are 100x stronger than yours since she lived that life. Anyways Mariah can do a whole lot more than what Edward think of her.
I'm definitely not a fan of Meryl the way America is, she is alright but Viola Davis killed her on stage in my opinion, they did a movie together, and she stole the whole movie with one scene "according to the movie industry too". Meryl ain't even on top 50 actresses.

Glitter the soundtrack didn't need a justice and in my eyes and many other lambs we also included the movie in that movement. The album sold 2 millions and gave her the best selling single of that year.
Mariah is an amazing director and her music videos have shown that, she directed most of them as she said, but we know she used to give away credit way too easy before. I need Mariah to really get an acting coach and get out and get more roles, try new things.
Our baby is a multi-talented women who can do it all, practice makes perfect and she just needs more roles.

"Mariah is not a very good actress, not just in Glitter." I would like to see you do better, Her acting is fine but not many people can act amazingly without a tailor fit character/script made. But having opinions are okay but the facts will always matter to me more.
Mariah has starred in 9 movies in some form and those movies together have generated almost a billion dollars soon and that will forever be linked to her. So who is laughing now exactly? Lol our queen is unbothered and always stays winning. Such a fighter and true inspiration.

Well that's your opinion Bill, and most people who hate the movie haven't even seen it, but they do because a critic said so, the movie needed a lot of work but it's still precious in so many people's eyes. I have a cousin like that, if the movie doesn't have a high score on IMDB she doesn't watch it. I find that truly sad.
Honestly I enjoyed that movie more than half of Netflix/Amazon/Hulu originals this year and GOT last horrible season. But that's just my opinion.
The lead was a horrible actor, not good looking, he didn't bring anything to the movie except for giving Billie the heartbreak enough to write which is a better song than every damn Academy Award winning song that decade. Mariah should've never have allowed a budget under 50$ million for her first movie, even the cameras weren't right. Yes Mariah's acting wasn't Angela Bassett level but do you guys ever think about how much of a, impact the producers and directors have, imagine you killing at your profession for a whole decade and being a bit nervous for your first movie gig and not getting the support you need, which is why Mariah shined so hard, because believed in her, I still haven't heard the director mentioning the movie in years, the only one is Padma "if I spelled her name right and as usual to people to have meet Mariah, she was a sweetheart and a blessing and she also spoke about the feeling when Mariah when sings next you, she used the world Olympic for her voice".
Mariah has said their was a lot of problems with the movie, clearly we all saw them but top 10 of those problems aren't linked to Mariah. How many mediocre women and men in the industry have had movies flop on the box office and still gets hired and get multi million dollars deals still. But when a cute idea of a project that wasn't finished but got released by "Mariah", everyone raced to burn her first.
Also this mentality that if a movie doesn't sell or if a album doesn't sell, it ain't good is the one I hate the most. Let's not forget that movies flop sometimes because of politics and reasons people don't wanna believe, for whatever biased reason it may be.

Are we done? Honestly I can't take another minute of hearing anyone complain about Glitter the movie let alone lambs. It's a fact that the world treated her unfairly for that movie, at least half of the movies in theaters "this year alone" were worse. Yes the 80s revival was a bit to early, let's not ever forget 9/11 and its impact towards the movie, the script could've been better and she should have gotten a lead of her magnitude. Mariah had just slayed the entire industry for a decade and won the artist of the decade and sold over 100 millions etc. "I'm not gonna list all of her accomplishments." That budget was honestly just disrespectful. And it was released on select theaters.
The industry wanted to cancel Mariah so bad because she had just slayed them a whole decade. Mariah has in a weird way always been treated harshly because deep down they know Mariah got more talent than The Beatles, Elvis and every other legend "in white America", she had everything else and now she wanna be a movie star too, cancel.
My opinions on the movie. I have seen it like 4 times, honestly I felt that movie, such a cute cute cute movie, can't wait to watch it with my "future" daughters one day, the singing was amazing, the soundtrack was one of the best soundtracks I have ever heard. I'm so glad Mariah keeps on acting, cause I like it no matter what. I have seen at least 10,000 movies ish, "my math is a bit off" and 50% of them were so much worse period.
The positives: people said she is over but had forgotten that she is first and foremost a singer, songwriter and producer, her hit single Loverboy was #1 selling single of that year, and soundtrack sold over 2 millions.
Our girl always have a win in the midst of her falls, honestly she is the second greatest artist of all time, and MJ is only ahead of her because of his impact not talent and the fact that there is a "clone" of him in every city. Lol.
Don't belittle Jesus like that, doesn't matter if you are religious or not, his life is well documented and he truly was one of the good guys.
4 things could've made it better. 1. As I agree with my fellow lamb on this board, a stronger male lead was needed, the guy is not hot, I still don't know his name and I have never seen another movie with him "remind me of a good one if I have". Ugh worst possible pick ever. 2. Bigger budget, more promo and definitely more theaters should've been arranged, 3. Should've been released at a different time anyone who complains about Glitter and doesn't mention 9/11 is a straight up hater. 4. Ugh I hate that damn lead so much, yes brad Pitt would've been amazing and he was so much hotter back then,
All these combined would make the movie gross at least 89 millions with a 50 million budget.

Mariah and Ellen (90,751)
by We are Lambily from USA
| |
|
|
"I remember one segment where she tried to get Mariah to play a game and Mariah was being difficult and wouldn't answer the questions, that seemed to piss Ellen off."
I think we all remember that episode lol, Ellen was extremely rude, she started off the interview in such a negative way and talked about how Mariah is late, when it's been mentioned a few times, the truth is Ellen has never truly cared for Mariah, she only played it nice for the cameras, but if you truly love a person you don't bash them on live tv and talk about how she comes late and drag on it, that was the first time I have ever seen Ellen act like that, I think the entrance made her jealous or something.
What Ellen and apparently a few people here don't get is that's Mariah The Carey, a true living legend, that segment what so disrespectful and lame for a artist of her Caliber, if you meant the segment where she chooses between guys. I'm sorry but you don't ask the most successful female singer songwriter producer of all time that or anything remotely like that. Or the industry biggest hitmaker. I hate that interview and the truth is I have only watched it once.
Anyways everyone let's press delete on that era and focus on the future and #19.

Mr grinch, nobody mentioned you. I will give you a call when Mariah dies so you can smile for once.
Everything I said is true, who has a better catalogue than Mariah? Michael is a close second. Her songs do climb worldwide whenever someone covers her songs in those music competitions.

It’s due to a dance challenge that someone started on Tik tok, a music app. But like I have always said, Mariah has the best catalogue in the business, anytime she sings or anyone else covers her songs, her songs climb immediately worldwide. That’s a testimony to how great her songs really is. In my humble opinion the queen of music.

Whitney Houston (89,271)
by We are Lambily from USA
| |
|
|
You never liked her because you never really [knew] the human being but instead you do know the nasty things the blogs/the media say about her. Whitney Houston was raised in a church and all she ever wanted was to sing. Look back at her early days and in her 20s and early 30s, what a beautiful light she had before this demonic industry destroyed her. It's impossible to live with all that fame she once had and not get soaked in. Her friends describe her as funny, loyal, strong, kind etc and frankly I don't care what people who didn't know her has to really say. Her addiction to drugs was human and *perhaps* her downfall.
She will forever be remembered as one of the greatest singers to grace the world, I would ask you to have enough respect to not lie about a death women or to disrespect Mariah's friend, but you don't even respect her *Mariah*. All those characteristics suits you even better Andrew.

When You Believe (89,256)
by We are Lambily from USA
| |
|
|
The song was not a flop, the impact that song has alone makes it royalty. It had moderate success in the US but it went #1 or top 5 around the globe. Lets not forget it's also an Academy Award winning song. The song only had 2 live performances. They both focused on other projects instead of really promoting it.
Damn I'm gonna listen to it now, I miss Whitney Houston so much. I wish Mariah had more of her confidence when it comes to live singing even on Whitney's worst days.

Butterfly - GOAT (89,255)
by We are Lambily from USA
| |
|
|
Bill, you are so wrong. "Like it or not, the reason Butterfly didn't match Music Box or Daydream was, simply, because it wasn't Music Box or Daydream."
Their [sic] are plenty of reasons why Butterfly never reached the previous albums success. We know that Tommy sabotaged Mariah behind the scenes, Sony didn't push the album as much and the industry wasn't really down with the hip hop sound. Implying that those 2 albums are better than Butterfly is laughable. "Daydream is a close second but miss Music Box can't sit with them, TEOM is better".
There is also one more reason why but we can dicuss that another day.

Re: Maroon 5's half-time show (87,900) (87,909)
by We are Lambily from USA

Most people hated it, even celebrities couldn't believe the mediocrity. I actually love Maroon 5 but it was the worst halftime ever. Such a shame they went from Beyoncé and Lady Gaga to this. And those two rappers added nothing. I'm glad Twitter and the ratings agree. I don't read reddit and hardly even know what that is. I couldn't even finish the whole thing.

Wow to say that Mariah only sings 10% live in her concerts is a lie even on her worst day. So many people here gotta learn the difference between lipping, singing over a track, dubbing etc. She literally sings every song live, expect for a few high notes here and there. Since nobody else can sing her songs, I don't blame her. I get that the lambily have done a lot for Mariah throughout the years but honestly we are quickly become the fandom that treats their fave the worst. I don't see Celine fans typing lipped or nah over all over live performances since early 2010s. And even though their are plenty videos of Ariana lipping, most of her stans are oblivious to it. You guys are always crying that Mariah doesn't get her roses in the industry but disrespect her worse than her enemies. Some days I wish Mariah just forgot us, lived her best live and just focused on her children. And it kills me as I typed that.

With You plus A No No (87,888)
by We are Lambily from USA
| |
|
|
Billboard just released an article that said With You was promoted to AC and adult r&b. It just reached top 10 on adult contemporary chart. That’s amazing. Her 23rd top 10 on that chart.
We also learned that A No No will be impacting the mainstream R&B/ hiphop & rhythmic radio. This is not the end of the amazing caution.
Ps: Mariah just announced a residency in UK at Royal Albert Hall for 3 nights in May.

Well Dove, that's your opinion. I'm also sure you didn't express anger about Israel. Mariah didn't care for that opinion as well. The fans were so happy and excited. That feeling they had means more to me than anything else. I know how I felt the first time I heard Mariah live. Every lamb deserves to have that feeling.
Mariah has been in the industry for almost 30 years and here legacy will continue on to infinity. This will be forgotten soon. You guys are acting like she performed for the royal family in the their living room. Cry me a river then go and stream Caution.

Dress down, dress up is still the same Mariah (87,860)

Nobody says anything when these men over 50 show their wrinkly skin. Mariah looks amazing when she shows her assets or when she doesn't. God knows if I look that good at 48, I won't be wearing much either.
Funny story: I once saw a lamb commenting on Mariah's pictures to cover up and when I saw his Instagram, he was half naked on 89% of all his pictures, you could literally see every part of his body expect for the D. As a man I can't stand the double standard, I'm just so tired of it and to see women entertain that idea breaks my heart.

She got paid good, the fans over there had a blast and all the negative people in her comments are the people who didn't buy her latest album. Honestly I felt the exact same way when Mariah visited Isreal but since nobody cared then, I don't care now.
The first female artist to perform in Saudi, another accomplishment. Mariah will be remembered as one of the greatest artists in music period, all these little hateful comments will be forgotten tomorrow and most definitely in the future.

Damn, I just saw lots of clips from the event, that crowd was wild, so many knew the lyrics, so many lambs. Also the venue is one of the most safest in the world. I'm so happy Mariah didn't cancel her show due to threats, those losers would've threaten everybody in hopes of cancelled shows. Let's live our lives to the fullest instead of letting these cowards run our lives. Another check for Mariah, and I'm happy some lambs over there got their moment.
