Mariah's medley performance (37,884) by Gilbert from USA
I have to say I am so looking forward to see how see does this. The only reason I'd love to see this is because 1. we haven't heard some of these #1's in a very good while. 2. It's a different style of performance. I've been to quite a few concerts and sometimes I've always been like... "Gee it's the same choice of songs all the time." So this for me as a fan of 18 years I'm really looking forward to this little mix. You seen one concert, you've seen them all is how I see it. Though I love Mariah, I will still go to see her live when she is in my area.

#Beautiful 2 cents (37,796) by Gilbert from USA
I got to watch the video this morning and I thought damn Mariah is sexy. I thought she looked great, and I guess that's the point of "#" Beautiful, because she did. The only thing that kind of stunned me was her flashing her panties more than once. I know she has done it before in other videos, but for me this one was not even subtle. Like why do you have to take it to that point. Other then that she looked great. It too me to a Honey/Sweetheart feel when I watched it. That was all.

#Beautiful (37,722) by Gilbert from USA
I will be completely honest, I really tried to steer away from reading all the praise before this song came out. I've done that before and all it lead to was disappointment. #Beautiful is a contagious song. The music itself reminds me of something that you would hear behind a gangster flick such as Goodfellas or Blow etc. It just has that type of tempo feel IMO. I also hear the background music and it just takes me to a back in the day feel going to "These Boots Are Made For Walking" by Nancy Sinatra. I have it on repeat right now and it's just a feel good song. I would almost see myself having a drink by the pool and having this song play. It's a fun song. I'm happy for how I reacted to it. By the way, before I finish, I don't know who Miguel want to give props to, because their voices mixed pretty well together.

One and Only feat. Twista (37,617) by Superbadd from USA (37,618) by Gilbert from USA
Yes, I enjoy this song. I actually prefer So Lonely Part 2. That one rocks. Again bad single choices. I'm a fan of those songs, so you aren't the only one.

Mariah (37,583) by Gilbert from USA
Mariah has been in the industry for years, why the big who ha if she doesn't top the charts anymore. She had her moments already. Unfortunately, and I hope this stays this way, but I hope she doesn't become a sell out just to be on top. Music has changed tremendously, all it's about these day's is about sex, sex sells and that is very unfortunate. Mariah will always have places in our hearts whether we are fans from back in the day, mid career, or a new fan. We should be glad she is alive and still able to make us music cause at the end of the day we only have one Mariah. I've learned we just have to take it for what it is sometimes. I have my moments of disappointments of "lazy" albums or promotion, but she is still Mariah too me and she is a part of my life for... damn... almost 18 years now.

I checked out Ariana Grande's Emotions, you weren't kidding. She could be the new MC. She did pretty good with the whistle register. Certain ranges that she hit made me think it was Mariah singing, because I did more of listening then watching the video. By the way, every time I see your picture I think of Will Smith.

Just an observation (37,578) by Gilbert from USA
My mom is cute and I thought I would just add this, because she doesn't go back and forth like we do here on the board. She did make a very good point. She was watching The Voice the other day and she was telling me how fun it is to watch because the judges laugh and pick on each other and make a great connection. On American Idol she says, well, Mariah and Nicki don't even look at each other throughout the whole airing. You can just feel the disconnect. I actually have to agree with her, because you can sense that on all the shows. As others have said, Mariah doesn't need to worry so much about being too technical. She is who she is and I just think she is worried about losing fans just because she doesn't agree to a song that was sung. I think it's okay to say, that song wasn't your best, or the song didn't catch my attention (hint boring performance). She doesn't do that and in the beginning I sure wish she did, because when the guys did the Four Tops as a group it was boring, they made it a point that they memorized their lines but had to help out the others, etc. So when Nicki said Boo get off the stage, I agreed, but she did it to be funny and I took it that way. It was an awful performance.

Nattalie, thank you (37,459) by Gilbert from USA
Trust me, I got so interested in it once I googled YouTube videos. Everything in my opinion is making sense to me as far as these people (Bey, Gaga, and Beyonce) are really making it in the industry and I really have to say what I saw and how it was put together was so interesting. If you haven't checked it out Nat, check out YouTube videos on illuminati in the music industry and you will open your eyes. Here this whole time you have little kids who idolize these women and they are sucking them into using signs that they have no idea what they mean. I'm really glad Mariah isn't involved in that. It's just very very interesting to see. Especially with the three ladies mentioned above. The signs are all there yet we (my self included) didn't notice it before until I started listening and watching the videos of the explanation. So main case guys, to me it all makes sense why these ladies are so successful, if they indeed make this pact with the Illuminati to gain fame. You're seeing it all on video. So I just want to say thank you Nattalie.

Beyonce, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga (37,446) by Gilbert from USA
Hey lambs, I'm not sure if this will even be allowed on the board, but it made me think about something. A lot members here mention how famous the 3 women are, there were others, but I chose these top three because I noticed them being talked about the most. Now I'm not big in church and I don't know how I got involved in Beyonce and the illumina sign. So it makes me think of videos I checked out early on the Illuminati in the music industry and it's pretty interesting. These top 3 people have fame and have all used signs that represent the Illuminati. Maybe this is the case of their fame. It was just an observation, but I ended up removing all their music once I seen videos on YouTube. I just never noticed any of that until I seen on video.

Giselle L. Holland from USA (37,442) by Gilbert from USA
I agree with you on E=MC2. I love that album way better. I understand everyone always wants to jump to TEOM and say it's her best album and that was her comeback. I don't believe that one bit. My favorite tracks were So Lonely, Don't Forget About Us, and We Belong Together. E=MC2 had so many great songs to choose from and sure enough they went with the crappy songs. I just feel that TEOM is over-rated. E=MC2 didn't get the praise it deserved. Then again, she was into her own thing because she brought out Memoirs. Oh boy. That was a lullaby album if you ask me. I thought that was a album to put on to fall asleep to.

Mariah on Idol (37,386) by Gilbert from USA
Hey fans, I just want to put in my 2 cents. I didn't think I was going to be a viewer of the show as often as I thought I would. I actually enjoy it. I'm not a fan of Nicki, but I do enjoy her judging techniques. I laugh when she says silly things and who cares, she is being who she is. She isn't afraid to get boo'd and if she does, she handles it in her own way. With Mariah I have mixed feelings. I think Keith gives awesome feedback, it makes me feel confident in him, because it makes me feel like he knows what he is talking about. So back to Mariah, when it's her turn to speak, she doesn't really have much to say (because Keith usually gives the best critic). In the back of my head I think of it like this, she may be afraid to say how she feels when it comes to negative feedback. I think she did get a little boo'd when she did a small critic on Lazarro if I'm not mistaken. So I don't know if she feels she will lose fans by giving a negative comment, I think it's okay to give negative feedback because this will make the contestants work harder. There are times I wish she would actually say that was a boring performance, or you didn't keep my attention during the song. I only say this because there are certain singers that I routing for and they have some not so great song choices. I just think she can give a little bit if tough love and she should know it's okay to give negative feedback, everyone can't be pleased and I think she can do better. Enough of my jibber jabber. Lol.

Mariah's AI wardrobe (37,352) by Gilbert from USA
You know I love Mariah dearly. I always will, but last nights wardrobe was really out there. I was like wow, is this show about AI or Mariah's cleavage? I just don't understand her wardrobes sometimes. She can be so sexy without having to show off her goodies.

Almost Home (37,351) by Gilbert from USA
I've seen Oz last night. I won't say I loved it and I won't say I hated it. I will say that most likely I won't watch it again. So movie ends, and I thought maybe just maybe a clip would be played during the movie. Nada, but at the end I heard the instrumental, but didn't hear her sing. I didn't stay to wait since I already know the song and heard it. I would say Oz reminded me of Alice In Wonderland with Johnny Depp.

AI (37,344) by Gilbert from USA
I have my 3 favorites, Kree, Angie, and well at the time I can't think of the third one but she sang the WH song. I just wanted to point out something and just wanted to see if anyone else had the same reaction. Did Nicki look like she was in a bad mood? Just her whole expression during the beginning of the show just looked like she didn't want to be there. I know that look because I feel the same here at my job sometimes lol.

Almost Home (37,325) by Gilbert from USA
Need I say more? I knew this song would reach its potential. We just needed to give it time. Congratulations to Mariah. I believe there will be more impact once the music video and movie are released. Way to go. Hits take time. Love you MC.

Almost Home clarification (37,271) by Gilbert from USA
I just want to clarify a small thing, because I definitely didn't think Mariah sounded like Rihanna in the song. I know, I made a post that commented on others thinking that. I didn't compare her to anyone, my main reaction was "who is this singing?" Lol that was all. I would not compare the two, because they are on two different levels.

Almost Home, it's just too bad (37,267) by Gilbert from USA
Hi everyone, happy Thursday. Here are my two cents. It's just too bad that there are certain people who are calling the song a flop. It's still fresh and I think of it this way. The music video isn't out yet, the movie isn't out yet. Let some time pass and we will see how magical this might be. All sorts of people will probably go see this film. I know I am, and those who grew up with the Wizard of Oz are most likely to see it as well. I think it will be a hit, it just takes time. Once that music video come out and the movie, I really believe the sales will bump up. That was all from me.

Almost Home (37,251) by Gilbert from USA
I did read one comment that Mariah sounded a little bit like Rihanna. So the point for bring that up in the beginning of my message was because I woke up this morning and I remembered that she released "Almost Home" today. So I didn't bother to preview it, instead just purchased it. Once I listened to it, my first reaction was (going back to the beginning) this doesn't sound like Mariah. I almost thought I had purchased the wrong song during the beginning of its play, so I waited and sure enough I recognized her voice after that. Anyone else feel the same?

I missed it, Mariah and Barbara (37,069) by Gilbert from USA
Does anyone know how long this interview was? I've been looking everywhere to find it and all I've seen are scraps of clips. I would love to watch the interview so I can see what happened. I did get to see the crack about Nicki, not knowing she sang and thinking she just rapped. So when I heard that I thought it was funny, because a friend who loves her kept insisting she was a singer and I was not convinced. I've never heard her sing nor do I care to.

Set list - RibbonB from USA (37,049) by Gilbert from USA
Hi Ribbon, you're right. I didn't think about the fans in Australia, because they don't get to see her as often as we do here in the USA. I should've stated that is how I feel when she does tours here in the USA and I've been to quite a few concerts and I'm sure if she returns I'll go again, but after awhile, I just feel bored, because I'm always hearing the same songs.

Concert set list (37,034) by Gilbert from USA
I would be upset if I paid to see that concert. The only thing I enjoyed seeing in the set list was a Can't Let Go/Love Takes Time medley. She can do so much with her songs, I just wish she wouldn't sing the same songs all the freaking time.

Languishing - Brad USA (36,981) by Gilbert from USA
Have you ever had enmity towards anyone? I got that word from Mariah's Languishing track. "And after all these years of enmity envy and tears It's a shame you don't know me at all." Meaning of enmity: hatred, animosity. Synonyms: acrimony, alienation, animus, antagonism, antipathy, aversion, bad blood, bitterness, daggers, detestation, dislike, hate, hostility, ill will, loathing, malevolence, malice, malignancy, malignity, rancor, spite, spleen, uncordiality, unfriendliness, venom.
