Honey (Classic Club Remix) (48,419) by Darryle from USA Up until today I had never listened to a dance mix in its full entirety. I thought it was mostly music and no vocals. But today I happened to stumble upon the Honey (Classic Club Remix) and I was pleasantly surprised. This remix is amazing. Mariah's vocals are flawless. The belts are resonant and her upper register is crystal clear like glass. The background singers are working their butts off on this song trying to keep up with Mariah. Mariah made this into a completely different song. Now I truly understand why they call Mariah the queen of remixes. I know the next CD I'll be getting for my Mariah collection, Remixes. Vinyls (48,342) by Darryle from USA Does anyone know of a place that sells Mariah vinyls? I'm trying to expand my Mariah collection. Her website only sells CDs and most of those are linked through Amazon. Amazon's vinyls are like $40 dollars for a used one. (Saturday 6 December 2014; 14:43)

Mariah's going through a tough time (48,247) by Darryle from USA With people bashing her voice, raising kids, and a divorce Mariah's probably been having a really crappy last few months. I really hope things can change for her. She probably using the lambily as crutch for support. It sucks to see her so sad. She might look happy right now but to quote her "she smiles through a thousand tears". Here's to hoping that Mariah will see better days soon. (Friday 5 December 2014; 0:11)

Mic feed / voice condition (48,246) by Darryle from USA I think the performance was so so. Not good, not great, but not terrible like some are making it out to be. She missed the previous one where you can pre-record your performance but she still wanted to perform so she did it live knowing the condition her voice is in so I commend her for that. But, her voice is in bad condition. She cracked a lot during the performance and even cleared her throat after the whistle. Mariah's got to start taking care of her voice. Her voice isn't gone, it's just in horrible condition. In 2013 or 2012 I think she was still touring and she sounded really good. But now her voice is terrible. Not because it's gone but because of things like drinking too much and no vocal rest. I hate to admit it but Mariah's damaging her own voice. When Mariah cuts down on the splashes and goes back to humidifiers vocal rest and warm ups I think we'll see a big improvement. (Friday 5 December 2014; 0:02)

Tree lighting (48,193) by Darryle from USA I think Mariah did pretty well at the tree lighting. Sure the vocals weren't perfect and you could tell that at some points she was struggling but she pulled it off. Considering the fact that her jacket/mic pack fell off and her earpiece wasn't in I'd say she did great. It was probably hard to perform with all the technical difficulties. Mariah Carey blooper reel (48,132) by Darryle from USA I just rewatched a video back from when Mariah was promoting #Beautiful. At one point she said "You make the beat go." Those are lines from Supernatural and the video was posted in July of 2013. I wonder how many songs that were originally supposed to be on the album made it to the album? So far Supernatural and YDKWTD were probably on the original album. (Monday 1 December 2014; 23:51)

Reverse Charmbracelet era / similarities (48,107) by Darryle from USA Has anyone else noticed how this era almost like a reverse Charmbracelet? Charmbracelet was trashed by critics while MIAM was received rave reviews. MIAM the tour started out with bad vocals and with each show the vocals got better. Charmbracelet tour started with strong vocals and ended with strong vocals. Charmbracelet had heavy promotion for what was considered a flop album with bad reviews. MIAM had little to no promotion for what is considered a flop album with great reviews. Both tours were in the fourth year of the decade. Hopefully both eras have similar endings were Mariah scores a top 3 hit in the fourth year of that decade and then goes on to release an album that will sell millions of copies and once again let her claim the throne as queen. Mariah's voice (48,105) by Darryle from USA Jon hit the nail on the head with what he said about Mariah's voice. It's not gone, it's not as strong as before but definitely not gone. That was proven not only with Jon's video but with this tour. I think Mariah drinks a lot more than she used to. Maybe because of marital problems I don't know, but I believe it's taken a toll on her voice. She probably does lack a lot of the discipline she had earlier in her career. I don't think she does the vocal rest or humidifiers as much as she used to. I do feel like it was getting stronger with each concert show though. So maybe there's hope. Writing credits (48,104) by Darryle from USA Does anyone know the true writing credits for Mariah's music? On the internet it says all songs with Walter A. are cowritten. In CDs it says that Mariah wrote all lyrics by herself and he came up with the music. Later albums like TEOM have all songs as cowritten. This I don't doubt because she collaborates more now. Mariah once said that she would come up with melody and then call in a pianist to play chords for her as she sang. She would later go home and write the lyrics. If that was true why is Walter A. considered a cowriter on most of her early albums? (Sunday 30 November 2014; 1:41)

Do you have the song or did you just put it on your playlist? I've been looking for a high quality version of it forever and can't seem to find one. Last thoughts on Wendy (I hope) (48,006) by Darryle from USA I think I'm completely done with Wendy. Every thing out of her incredibly mannish mouth is utter garbage. Just like her show. She's got nothing positive to say about Mariah or anyone else for that matter unless it benefits her. She's been called out by so many people for hating and she continuously denies it by kissing butt so that she can get those people on her show. But the moment they're off she goes back to talking trash. Baby I would say that she looks like Howard Stern in a wig but that's an insult to Howard. (Saturday 22 November 2014; 2:09)

Mariah and lyrics (48,005) by Darryle from USA I love Mariah's lyrics. I think she's one of the greatest lyricist of all time, but does anyone else wish she would tackle more socially conscious lyrics. She's done it before. I really just want more songs like There's Got To Be A Way, Outside, Petals, The Wind, FLAB, Twister etc. Songs that don't deal with love or breakups. Songs that deal with whats going on in the state of the world today. I want her to write about topics like race and poverty. I know she's got an opinion on it so why not share? Betcha Gon' Know / It's a wrap (47,857) by Darryle from USA As Mariah said many times this album is a journey from where she last off. If you think about those two songs being the last on the album, I think she's trying to tell us that Nick cheated and it's a wrap with them. I think she chose to use those songs because they were fan favs and they were lyrically perfect for her situation. Instead of wasting two tracks she just reused two. She probably added the features so that people would figure they're remixes. Wouldn't it have been cool if Mariah and R. Kelly re did BGK and changed it to fit trapped in the closet. Lyrically the songs are perfect fits. I'd kill to see them do that. To top it off Mariah could've acted in the video. (Saturday 8 November 2014; 20:52)

Christmas concert (47,788) by Darryle from USA I'm really mad Mariah's only keeping the concert in New York. I get why she's doing it. It being so close to Christmas she wants to stay close to home. It just sucks that no one else gets to see it. She's on tour until November then she has the concert then she'll go to Jamaica in February. Hopefully she'll release these in official video form. O Holy Night (47,786) by Darryle from USA O my gosh (pun intended). I just listened to this song for the first time. And I feel anointed. I'm not huge on Christmas songs especially slow ones but this did something to me. It touched me, the way her voice just fits the song perfectly. She made me feel the words you can just feel her pouring her emotions into it. It's official this song just put me in the holiday spirit. Time to get festive. (Tuesday 4 November 2014; 4:58)

Mariah and Hip Hop (47,766) by Darryle from USA Des anyone else wonder what Mariah's career would look like if she'd gotten to explore her hip hop influences earlier on in her career? She tried to explore them earlier own but I think Tommy pretty much put a stop to that. She's said that the demo version of VOL is more soulful. It's rumored that she hates the song someday because it's not the version she wanted, the one we have is much more popish. The Bam Jam Soul Remix of Dreamlover is supposedly what the song originally started out. Forgetting all of the songs just think of collaborations. Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac. That's my dream Mariah collab right there. She's even sampled their music. With all of this I don't see how people can want Mariah to stop with the hip hop. Mariah's impact (47,765) by Darryle from USA I was listening to dedicated today and I decided to check out the sample "Da Mystery of Chessboxin'" by Wu Tang Clan. I was surprised to find out that the song was made in 1993. I think it's amazing that Mariah had already made an impact on Hip Hop culture and just culture itself 3 years into her career. She was seen as this clean cut pop star and yet rough and tough rappers recognized her. I guess you could say this is almost like a lead up to Fantasy Remix. (Monday 3 November 2014; 3:43)

If you look at the Daydream album booklet there is a certain part in the booklet that says who wrote what and for almost all of the songs it says Mariah wrote them herself. Work it Mariah (47,307) by Darryle from USA Forgetting about her voice issues lets just take a moment to just appreciate the fact that Mariah is working the stage. She looks so much more comfortable and free on stage. She's dancing and laughing and playing around. It feels nice to see her so happy. Not only is she working the stage but she looks fabulous. She's killing me with the legs. I love the random shots of her with her hair blowing in her face. (Thursday 9 October 2014; 3:32)

This is a tour for the fans (47,306) by Darryle from USA As some have said before this tour is for the fans. I think this tour is for the fans because for one this album didn't sell enough to have a huge promoted tour like Emancipation. Two if Mariah were trying to achieve a critically acclaimed tour she would have waited until her voice was in better condition. She probably just wants to get away from the stress of the divorce and media. And she turned to us to do that. The lambily has always been there when Mariah needed her. She singing live and not lipping because she's not to worried over her voice. She just wants to have a good time and connect with fans. It's so sad that some of us are so blinded by a few off key notes that we can't see that. (Thursday 9 October 2014; 3:22)

Mariah's voice (47,275) by Darryle from USA As far as the tour goes Mariah's voice has improved since the last show she made changes and adjustments and it worked the only place to go from there is up. I know some fans want Mariah to come out and address her voice but I bet it's incredibly hard for her to even think of that. Mariah's her own worst critic so imagine what's going through her mind when she rematches these videos. I think she's probably having a hard time coming to terms with the fact that her voice is gone and she can't just belt it out like she used too. Even in her voices current state I still think Mariah's one of the world's greatest singers. (Wednesday 8 October 2014; 4:03)
