Treasure (38,954) by George Golden from UK Am I the only one getting a positive vibe from the album track listing? "Hope street", "Make it look good", etc are sounding promising. The duet with Stevie should be like a dream to listen to, the one one with Kells should be total drama ala "Betcha gon know", which reminds me that song would have been epic like "We belong together" if they had released it lol. It was totally different from anything she had ever done and it even debut just under the Hot 100 without any promo. So many missed chances since her last number one that I can't help but feel like certain "people" do not want her to have another number one. It's fine as long as she comes up with great albums. We get really angry and frustrated at Mariah that we forget what a treasure she has been in our lives, especially mine. Her songs are the soundtrack of my life. God bless you all. Where is the album? (38,940) by George Golden from UK Where is the new album? It is getting really old at this point. Release the album already. I cant wait anylonger. Gaga is coming out soon, and so is Kathy Perry. Just release the album, if the album has good songs, there won't be any problem. I dont want a reoccurence of MOAIA after the daily, it failed to reach number one. "Beautiful" is the song I am must shocked at for not reaching number one. It's such a travesty, not to mention "blurred lines" is nothing compared to it. That song is just a ripoff of Marvin Gaye's "Got to give it up". The thing that killed "Beautiful" was the video to be honest. And radio djs refusing to keep on playing it. She is ruining her legacy with all this hip hop collaborations, it's getting really tired and old. Where are the songs, ballads and uptempos that are free of rap? She is starting to loose me as a fan and I can say I used to live and breath Mariah. Someone is really hurting this woman, making her believe all is well with the path she is taking. Mariah has lost her way. Only God can help us now. Put out a solid pop album and it will sell. She has the voice to die for, why is she bent on collaborating with every rapper there is? Then she pushes the album release date. So frustrating. Mariah has the voice, to make a hit album is a piece of cake for her, but her problem is the type of music she wants to release. Hip hop. Artists evolve and try new things, but she has been stuck with this hip hop thing since 1997. Please Mariah, get it together. We need a [...], not a lame number one song. Bause if you look at the charts, the songs that do well are really lame. An album with amazing ballads and big uptempo numbers will be a big hit. New album (38,751) by George Golden from UK The thing with this era is really down to Mariah herself. Fisrt of all, Beautiful was a smash before the video came out. Then the video appeared and I just felt like she took two steps forward and ten steps back. The video should have about 60 million views by now, but it's just painful to watch. In these days of Vevo, you would have thought they would come up with something better. Mariah is a legend. She should let go of all these cheap and trashy videos. The video really let the song down in my own opinion. If the video was amazing, we would not be needing a hundred more videos of the song. Where are the piano driven ballads, where are the inspirational songs, where are the videos that were simple and free of oversexualisation? Mariah at this point should be looking for number one albums and not looking for number one singles. This era just feels too desperate. She has the voice for an amazing album. At this stage she shouldn't be looking for number one singles, she should be aiming for more number one albums. New video pics (38,283) by George Golden from UK Wow. Mariah is not going to let go of her "sexy" image. It's just too much now. Every video does not have to be a bikini photo shoot. Why? Is someone in her camp sabotaging her, making her believe it's the best way to market herself? She is beautiful, but it just seems she is seriously insecure. Really why? You can be sexy without being too revealing. This image is really taking a lot away from the talent. Non fans will always crucify her for her insistence on looking like this. When I first listened to the single, I thougth it was one of her best lead sinlges to date, but the video tottally let the song down. I mean, it's just plain tacky with all the moves she does. Something like a spoof of the movie Grease would have sold this song. The John Travolter/Olivia Newton duet "You are the one that I want" would have been amazing. Just saying. Mariah should really try and elevate her videos and be more creative with the storylines. Being sexy is not always about being provocative. All her videos after "Touch my body" have been a let down. Come on Mariah, why? In this day of Vevo, your music video should be interesting, not a striptease. I am really tired of having to defend her all the time when she comes across this way. You are a classy lady with millions of record sales. It's time to finetune the image. It is getting really tired at this piont. Great songs like IBLULT, HATEU and a lot of your other songs were ruined by their videos. The world fell in love with you because of your voice, not your body. Number one (37,402) by George Golden from UK I think Mariah at this stage should not be looking for another number one song. She should be aiming for number one albums. What makes a number one album? An album with a general theme of ballads and uptempo groovy tracks. We need a masterpiece from Mariah at this piont. An album that is filled with tracks of substance not tracks that are aimed at the top ten, which is full of garbage these days. With an album well produced, the singles will progess naturally and take of. Almost Home is a great return to form for her. With ballads that have an edge and are innovative her voice will soar. I heared an album cut title "Hope street". I hope it's included, because it feels like something great. I feel we as fans are a bit too hard on Mariah. Her last two albums have been really underwhelming. Just beacause you are on AI doesn't mean you should come out with an average sound. Now is the time to remind people why you are MC. All those rnb hip hop tracks should be discarded, we need fresh retro sonding rnb. I feel Mariah has been stuck in a hip hop rnb rot.
