About Dove from USA: "Just sing from your heart the entire time and your notes will continue to shine regardless of the dirt that gets splattered around you." - Mariah Carey

Jon (50,766) by Dove from USA
I'm here. Thanks for thinking of me Jon. You made me feel appreciated. I appreciate you too.

Re: Big Jim (50,681) by Emmanuel (50,685) by Dove from USA
I had to look up which songs he's worked on and I discovered that some of my favorite MC songs were written with Big Jim Wright: Angels Cry, Betcha Gon' Know, Bliss, Circles, Fly Like A Bird, I Wish You Knew, Languishing, Petals, Yours. (Please correct, if my list is incorrect.)

Edward (50,661) by Dove from USA
This is off topic now but I've been thinking about what you said about WW and I think you're right. I had forgotten about the Aaliyah biopic. I didn't watch it but I read the reviews and apparently she was airing dirty laundry that may not have even been true. Nobody deserves that. I wouldn't want that to happen to MC so I take back what I said.

Abraham / Andrew / Edward (50,640) by Dove from USA
Thank you Abraham. Andrew, Yes. Edward, maybe you're right. I honestly don't watch her show and have only seen some of the clips recently. The MC interview from 2005 is one of my favorite MC interviews. I watched the radio interview wITH Whitney on YT but I don't know what she had said about WH before or after. I watched the clip with the crocodile tears and it seemed sincere to me, but maybe I see it that way because I don't know the whole history. WW doesn't seem that bad. I think she says things for ratings but I don't think she actually has malicious intent.

Cgee54 / Lee / brown dress (50,632) by Dove from USA
Cgee54, thanks for posting the Charmbracelet interview (50,578). I don't think I had ever seen that one. Lee, thanks for posting the Celine Dion documentary from the OWN network (50,583). CD mentioned she moved to Vegas 22 days before opening night, so that made me feel better. MC still has plenty of time to prepare. There were more pictures of MC in that brown dress on Twitter and she looked great. I love the DFAU throwback look.

Abraham / The Beatles (50,631) by Dove from USA
I like the original recordings because they’re the ones I grew up with (and am used to) but some people appreciate their songs more when they are sung by better vocalists. I posted some links for you to hear and maybe grow a new appreciation for the Fab Four. Let It Be, Across The Universe. Also listen to Happiness Is A Warm Gun, it was kind of making fun of the shoop, shoop songs that were popular at the time. And Back In The USSR is making fun of California Girls by the Beach Boys. The first Beatles album I ever heard was Abbey Road and I think that's a good place to start. Give them another chance.

Wendy Williams / interviews (50,629) by Dove from USA
This has been on my mind for a few days but I didn't want to post it because I knew it would be controversial. I think Mariah should let Wendy Williams interview her again. Even though Wendy says a lot of shady things, and is super nosy, I get the feeling she's actually a really good person and a big fan of MC. Someone mentioned that she used to always talk badly about Whitney and then when she died she was crying about it. I watched it and it seemed sincere. The interviews with Wendy have been the best because they have shown the real Mariah. I like the proper, PC interviews she's done too. I actually didn't hate the Breakfast Club interview. It showed a different side of her.

Re: The Beatles (50,626) by Abraham (50,627) by Dove from USA
Abraham, bite your tongue. The Beatles are the only other act that I have consistently listened to since I was young and their music never gets old for me. Those songs came out half a century ago and they still sound fresh and innovative. They're not famous for having amazing singing voices, they're famous for the music. I can't understand people when they say they don't like The Beatles or that they're boring. To me that's like saying Mariah's music isn't good. Even today their music sounds way ahead of its time and like it came from another world.

Re: (50,620) by Andrew (50,625) by Dove from USA
"Mariah's releasing a new single, it's going to number one." We're using the power of visualization and our subconscious minds to take her new single to number one. That's why we make these types of statements. If a person believes that it might be possible, it will work. Only need a tiny bit of faith is needed for it to work.
"Her contribution to popular music is more important than the contribution made by The Beatles." I think Amber was kidding with that post.
"It's not her fault she gets disrespected, it's because she doesn't have a penis." IMO if she didn't wear such revealing clothes she would get much more respect. But maybe that goes for men too, the Rico Suave guy was also ridiculed.
"People are manipulated by the evil media because she mimed well half the time." It's pretty obvious that if the media is on your side they cover up for you and report things in your favor. For example, I was reading an article about Jennifer Lopez, and the article stated, "Jennifer simply responded Britney because she dances." But when Mariah wished Ariana longevity on the Breakfast Club they made it out to be a diss. Other artists have made embarrassing mistakes but the media minimizes it.

My friend Mariah (50,534) by Dove from USA
Obviously we know she isn't our friend in real life. I think a little part of me believes (fantasizes) she checks in here every once in a while to hear from the peanut gallery. I always imagine it like the part in A Christmas Story when Miss Shields reads Ralphie's composition. Jon, that Tets My Body video was pretty hilarious. My favorite part was the vocalizations at the end. Shout out to Mara.

Fans (50,501) by Dove from USA
I appreciate the uber positive fans because I think about these boards as an intervention. Imagine everyone is giving you the tough truth, that you do need to hear, but it hurts. That's why you also need the people who are going to be unconditionally on your side to soften the blow and to hold your hand through it. If it's all tough love, a person is going to feel attacked and go into hiding. If there is a balance, the person is more likely to think about it more when they're alone and away from the uncomfortableness of being confronted. I get frustrated sometimes, I feel what you guys are feeling. Then I read Abraham's posts, completely having M's back, and it's like a light. We need friends who will tell us the truth but also the ones who accept us where we are right now no matter what. I would love to have such a loyal friend have my back during a transitional period.

"Caesar's Palace hires a team of experts to do everything from staging, choreography, and lighting." I really hope you're right. That makes me feel a lot better. I'm almost scared to ask but does anyone know if she is in Vegas working on this production right now? She can't just show up at the last minute and wing it/sing. I've been watching more of Celine's videos and even though she's not a dancer, there was definitely some choreography for her too. In each song she does the same thing (arm movements, stances, small dance routines, etc.) and it makes the performance look tight and polished IMO. On a side note: I just wanted to say that I've enjoyed reading everybody's posts the last few days. We really are a passionate and dedicated fandom.

The reason you're my favorite lamb is because you're so loyal. I'm glad you post here. You're definitely essential to the balance on this board.

Red carpet (50,433) by Dove from USA
Even though I would love to see Mariah on the red carpet wearing beautiful clothes like JLo does, I vote nay. I think it would be better if she concentrated her energy on making the #1's show spectacular. If the show is entertaining and breathtaking, that's going to be better promo than red carpets because people will be talking about it and eager to go see it. Part of the reason I was so pumped to see Celine's show when it first came out was because Matt Lauer raved about it on the Today Show. And let's be honest, the red carpet has never been kind to Mariah, she has never cared about fashion and lived in jeans and t-shirts for most of the 90's. Also, her red carpet interviews are awkward sometimes because whenever she doesn't want to talk about something she starts rambling. I think it hurts her more than helps. I suggest she does amazing photoshoots with fashion photographers instead, letting the experts choose the clothes. Then she can wear jeans and t-shirts the rest of the time. Some people are media darlings: JLo, Paul McCartney, and Taylor Swift. Then there are the Michael Jacksons, John Lennons and Mariah Careys of the world who aren't as smooth but still survive because they have something rare and valuable to offer.

Quiet / Gaga (50,349) by Dove from USA
MC give us something of substance to talk about today. On a side note: Gaga impressed me at The Oscars last night. Wow. I had lost interest in her when she started sounding like 90s Madonna/Ace Of Base, but she recaptured my interest last night.

Edward, you're funny. As I was reading your comment I could picture cartoon Mariah bouncing up the charts on her new basketball booty.

Amber (50,299) by Dove from USA
I thought you were serious. Sorry. I've been traumatized by the trolls in the YouTube comment section. Part of my comment was directed to you but the other part was just my opinion on the bigger booty article. I should have specified. I'm 31 and I don't know the slang young people are using these days. I texted my young cousin to ask what "thot" is and he said it means: Thirsty Hoes Over There. Lol. I had seen the word on Twitter, usually accompanied by pictures of women with exaggerated boobs and butts, so I just assumed that's what a thot was.

Re: (50,288) by Amber C (50,297) by Dove from USA
Love takes time to heal, that's expected. She will get over him, though. You said you were 19, maybe you haven't experienced yet. To me she is one of the most beautiful women who has ever lived and she looks perfect the way she already is. I've had a girl crush on her since I was 10 years old and what most attracts me to her is her beautiful spirit. If it is true that she wants a bigger booty, more power to her. With her money she can afford the best plastic surgeon, who will make her bigger booty look tasteful and realistic. Not like a caricature, I think this is what you mean when you say "thot". Why does everything always have to be about men? Maybe she just wants a bigger booty for herself and to look a certain way in photos and videos for the legions of fans who will stare at her pictures and watch her videos for years and years to come.

The book I have is called The Power Of A Praying Parent by Stormie Omartian. There is a version with only the prayers that says Book Of Prayers and that one is only $6.99 on Amazon. I like that one better. It's good for when you have no idea what to for.

inspiring words from Oprah Winfrey (50,292) by Dove from USA
Inspiring words from Oprah Winfrey. I watched this clip yesterday and it made me think of Mariah. Especially the part where she talks about not worrying about what other people are doing around you, because it takes energy and focus away from what you're doing yourself. Yes, we should congratulate other entertainer's accomplishments, but we shouldn't dwell too much on who's coming up behind us and instead focus our energy on our own visions.

Those are really good. I had noticed some of them on Twitter but couldn't open them when you posted them on here because my signal was weak. I really like the white gown on the one you posted here.
