Re: Take a song from all albums to make the album (77,765) (77,769) by Anonymous from
Great albums guys. I had to refresh my memory and play a few songs that I'd completely forgotten about. Love that Mariah has such an extensive catalogue that you can revisit over and over again.

Mariah Carey collection (77,742) by Anonymous from
Sadly I don't know any other Mariah fans that have an extensive cd collection like mine. I've bored my husband and best friend no end of times with a new edition to the collection and have occasionally polished cases and read the information on the back (smh). I currently have over 170 from the last count and still have at least another 50 to get. I'm curious, do you purchase a few copies of a single or just one... or does anyone out there purchase all versions they can get there hands on? I love watching videos of Mariah fans showcasing what they have. I thought I was obsessive until then.

Mariah needs a track like that. Could even imagine her in the video instead of Katie.

I think you're right. It's well received amongst the general population and the Latin community.

Mariah live (77,737) by Anonymous from
Not being negative but honest. I now try and refrain from watching Mariah live, and if I do it's a snippet. Not really keen on the tone of her voice nowadays. Her voice seemed much better when I saw her in concert last year including her stage presence. What a difference a year makes. Whether I'm being naieve or optimistic, I do believe Mariah will up her game eventually and have more pride in what she does.

Yes, I do hope Andrew and London lambs are ok, although the loss of any life due to terroism isn't. Sending love to you all.

However I do agree that Mariah performs better vocally on "Emotions" but I prefer the majority of songs on the debut album.

Re: Battle of the albums round 1 (75,817) (75,820) by Anonymous from
For me it's the debut album. It set the bar and was completely effortless. I feel the "Emotions" album was a little forced at times, trying to make a bolder statement which fell flat for me. I do however appreciate its artistic creativity. The stand out song for me on that is album "Till The End If Time" however her debut has so many. From "Alone In Love", "Prisoner", "I Don't Wanna Cry", "All In Your Mind" the list is endless. I find myself skipping through more tracks on "Emotions" when compared to the debut.

Re: Martyn (75,671) (75,680) by Anonymous from
Andrew that message was so heartfelt and so true. With differing views on Mariah, that is what keeps us on our toes and challenges our thoughts, it's what makes "MCArchives". I didn't know Martyn directly but he had a lovely way of connecting which I'm grateful to have experienced. If the funeral is open to the public then I'd like to pay my respects. Even if it means standing outside and laying flowers. Either way I'll still make a donation if there or not but ideally I'd love to meet fellow lambs to pay respects to Martyn and to show love. I'm not a social media person so only have email and this site to connect with others. My email address is cvjade07@aol.com. Sending love to everyone. In my thoughts. Thank you Andrew for being so open with the message, thinking of you all.

Randy I'm not a fan of the song but I respect your opinion, if we all liked the same thing then wouldn't the world be boring a place? I'm glad Mariah has so much creativity, otherwise I wouldn't be a fan.

So guys got married, first dance (75,207) by Anonymous from
May 3rd I married my best friend. Was a tough one as Marv and I both wanted to choose a song that reflected both of us. We have been best friends since the age of 16 and have many songs that have reflected our relationship. In the end I made most choices for Jamaica so he took the lead in songs. I know very random but it was "License to kill" - James Bond, concluded with Melt Away - Mariah. It wouldn't have been my choices but compromise is key and the best choices for our moment, although it took day to help realsoe [sic] it fitted perfectly. I always check in here to debate, bond, reflect and grow. Much love as always.

Re: LA Reid replacement 75,199) (75,206) by Anonymous from
Hey Terna, I completely here [sic] what you are saying. As an avid Mariah fan myself I think we could both agree that over the last few years, they have been hard. I can also empathise with the notion of Mariah being the next target wound but let's face it, surely she can be accountable for her own choices and actions? Mariah has had numerous opportunities to turn things around, she has chosen to make poor choices based on potentially the people around her. Just a thought. Mariah I will always love, even though right now it seems as though she knows how to push it in the wrong direction.

Andrew my dear preach. As sad as it is, Mariah needs a makeover overhall, in all tence and purposes, pronto. Yes everyone should be themselves, but Mariah is turning into a Stella wannabe.

If Mariah can't be bothered to make good wholesome music then seeing Sharon and she working together could be a beautiful thing.
